I wish they designed a hard top that paneled and retracted like the soft top and fits into the designated soft top space keeping the original mustang lines. Is that too much to ask for? These people need to fire their engineers.
I often wonder why they didn't just use a set of convertible top latches for the front of the roof, would make it simpler. Also, have you ever considered making a frame to hoist, lower and stow the roof, something along the lines of what is used to lift out engines but on a larger scale? I've read some reviews of those roofs, some people think they leak and as such, is a poor product. A shame really, it looks preety awesome, whether on the car or not. :)
I don't have room in my garage to make that type of contraption and I only have it installed during the late fall through spring. As for leaking, I washed the car plenty of times and was caught in 2-3 storms with it on. It is solid with no leaks.
***** Ok, it was just a thought. :) Glad to hear it doesn't leak. Those people that say it does, obviously don't know how to care for it or have problems fitting it.
I'm looking at getting one of these. you mention it doesn't leak which is very good. How is it for road noise and vibration? once it's on does it remain stable with the car?
I was expecting some slight rattled or sound protrusion, but was surprised to find there is no more sound leaking into the cabin compared to the standard convertible top. It remains very stable; I've had it up to 145+ MPH on a closed road and you could just hear the wind passing over it.
Does anybody know where I can find a replacement rear window for a hardtop convertible 2000 Ford Mustang I have looked everywhere anybody could lead me in the right direction I would be much appreciated
Idk if u found the answer bro it’s been a year. But you can’t replace it , you’d have to replace the whole top which in my town costs me 2k , if u found a way to replace the window let me know ASAP bro I have the same problem
Amazing! I’ve always wondered if this could be done, awesome to see that someone made it a reality
i want one because im not s fan of my convert top. But the gap in the back is hard to look past for the hardtop.
This is really cool and I’m considering this mod on my 06 GT. Good Job!!!
Thanks for posting..
I have a 14 mustang v6. How much you spend for that all in all?

Where can i buy the tops at?
Do you still own the hardtop
Where do I order one?
do back window louvers fit
Where can I buy one of these I have a 2005 mustang convertible And my back window is busted out and I really don’t want to buy another mesh top
Smoothline Hardtops. The top fit and finished will be significantly more expensive than repairing your soft top FYI.
