    I have tried it for tempo run, intervals, and also long run. Works really well for tempo and interval workout but my leg is kinda beat up after trying it for long run. The great thing about using it for long run is that it forces you to speed up or maintain at certain speed.

    Just ordered these last night, have the endorphin pro 2. Your review was super thorough and helpful! Excited to give these a whirl! Thanks!

      Endorphin pro 2 is still one of the best super shoes up to date.

    Its a shoe with two personalities. One where you can use the speedroll rocker to flow through your stride for marathons but then a racier side with its stiff plate that you can load up for shorter races. I find it perfect for 10k up to marathon. Ive never ran a 5k in it yet but have done track workouts and dont think it would have a problem with the 5k either.

    I just wore those shoes today for an 8-mile steady state run. I haven't taken them for longer runs yet, but I plan to wear them this December for my next marathon.

    I have run 2 HM this year in these and I really like them, especially if you like me have a wider foot. Im gonna continue racing in them throughout the fall and hopefully in the full marathon in Stockholm, Sweden next May. I got them 25% off as well. 🎉

      had my first Sauconys this year, was he endorphine elite. its same on the little wider side. love em. had them on a sale for 170€ instead of the pro 4 for 199 €, so choice was easy which one..... but got eyes on the pros aswell... but dont know if its worth the buy, elites kinda get like stones on foot after the HM mark.

    I hit a half marathon PR (1:48) in these last weekend so they were great at a faster pace for me. I need to give them a shot at a longer and steadier pace because I'd like to wear them in Chicago (3:50ish goal).

    I agree with many of your points here. I’m sad to say goodbye to EP3 (it’s only a training shoe now with high mileage) but there are several welcome changes in the 4. I’ve only done a couple sessions with this shoe and will race in them in 5 weeks so we shall see! But I think it will be my only marathon in them. Just not aggressive or poppy enough (like v.3). Thanks for posting this one!

    as ive worn this shoe more Ive started to love it for long run workouts where I do a large portion of miles at (or a little faster) than marathon pace. Makes those long runs feel very easy - but i agree i think it did take some breaking in to make it more lively because when I first wore it I was unimpressed because of how stiff it was

    More importantly, let us know in the comments below what you think Isabella's first word will be.
    Will it be "lateral"?
    Or will she take the "medial" path?
    Or perhaps "toespring"?

    Thanks Matt! I ran in the endorphin pro 2 in a marathon last year and felt fine. 3 months later i got post tib tendonitis and was told to switch to stability shoes which seems to have helped. 99% painfree and continuing with foot exercises. Do you think the pro 2 has enough stability for me for another marathon? It still has some miles left in it... 🙂 thanks!

    I just wore them on my first Marathon 4:09. The shoe is super comfortable but from km 29 and up I did feel a lot the stiffness of the plate, almost wanted to be running in my trainers (Superblast). Before that came from a HM PB of 1:53 in AP3 and while the shoe has no comfort at all, I didn't have any problems. Maybe I should save the plates up to HM.

    I used mine for a half marathon and one long run(18K), I felt leg fatigue after using these shoes. I think the midsole is too soft a person with severe over pronate like me.(no ankle pain, just felt fatigue).

  • @Smurchdog
    @Smurchdog 2 місяці тому

    I’ve worn mine for a half marathon race and lots of workouts plus the occasional long run because they’ve so comfy. So comfy in fact that they would be my pick for recovery runs too. Having said all that I perform better in Endorphin Elites.

    I just sold my pair of pro 4's after 100miles as I found it too firm and harsh for my marathon training distance runs. I'm a heavy (in weight) fore/mid foot striker and the top layer of HG combined with the stiff plate made it feel like I was bottoming out. I preferred the plush feel and roll of the pro 3. I'm probably team Andrea on this!

    • @antihero5518
      @antihero5518 2 місяці тому +2

      Hmm I lean on the heavy side too and same foot strike. So far in order, love the SL2, Cloud Eclipse, and Boston 12 just for comparison. Feel like the B12 really wants you to be on the forefoot/midfoot area with a bit of force while the other two are also good for easy miles. I say that to ask what shoes work for you?

      @@antihero5518 Superblast 2 but I think these work for everyone. I have a pair of Adios Pro 3's with about 200 miles which I have a love / hate relationship with. So I wonder if the B12 might work for me too! Leaning on getting a pair of Cielo X1's as they look to offer a similar ride to my beloved Endorphin Pro 3's (RIP)

    Thanks for the update. I'm looking to do my first marathon and I'm thinking of what shoes to wear. I already have the ES4 but I'm thinking of getting EP3 OR EP4 specifically for the marathon? My goal is to try for Sub 4 as my first marathon.

    I know the standard is to measure durability in miles, but I think you guys, as scientists, should challenge that. Someone who runs 6 minute miles is going to put twice as much milage in the same time running as someone who runs 12 minute miles. For that reason, I think a better measure of durability is hours running. This would make a durability measure much more useful to runners of different paces.

    EP4 or AP3 for marathon? I just ran a half in the AP3 and it felt good other than having to stop 2 times to tie the laces.

    Has anyone felt the medial sidewalls discomforting on this shoe?

    • @hamoudalnasser
      @hamoudalnasser Місяць тому

      It's possible that runners with very neutral mechanics, or who don't like guidance features like sidewalls in racers will find these difficult.
