When this was originally posted I don't believe grape must molasses was generally available in the US. But the recipe usually calls for grape must molasses which can now be found on Amazon. Use the search term "petimezi" or grape molasses. They will both return the same products. Anyone who cooks with molasses knows that with the amount of molasses called for in this recipe the molasses flavor will tend to dominate. Regular molasses will make a wonderful cookie but with Greek grape molasses....Wow!

You can add a pinch of salt if you like and thanks for mentioning it.
My recipe has 3/4 of cup sugar and you can read this in my description. Thanks for watching and good luck :)

Can you use regular molasses like the one we have in Canada or the US or does it have to be grape molasses?
Also where can I find grape molasses?

The brandy is there to give some concentrated grape flavor. If you use grape molasses then you could leave the brandy out. If you use regular molasses, leave out the brandy, slowly reduce 4 oz of grape juice to 1 oz (a shot) and use the grape reduction in place of brandy.

What did you dip the cookies in before baking?
