A word of advice which you may or may not have heard already: pls refrain from watching lyric videos (especially from lemoring and jaeguchi), most of the time there are incorrect translations in some parts and sometimes indicates a member rapping/singing while it's actually someone else of the group. I do suggest to look up lyrics from Doolset Bangtan. They provide the closest 100% correct translations and will give extra explanations on words/wordplays/sayings etc. Wether you read it after your reaction of a song on or off camera doesn't matter. Do whatever you see fit and want to do. Still love your video's nonetheless
I was about to say this. I second your advice. Doolset Bangtan has accurate lyrics and often provides more information. Maybe listen to the song first (and hopefully enjoy it ) and then look up the lyrics? For "Ugh" there's an explanation video from DKDKTV. It's an eye opener. 😁
"BTS - UGH! Explained By A Korean" by the channel "DKDKTV" is a great explanation video of the song from a Korean's perspective that I would like to see you reacting to if you are interested.4:26 This is still Suga not J-Hope. This lyric video messed up the lyrics so bad, and made them look nonsensical(maybe because this track contains a lot of Korean words/sayings that don't have English equivalents and therefore hard to translate. By the way, a lot of their song lyrics tend to contain analogies or poetry that is often hard to translate to English. I have watched videos of Koreans trying to break down their lyrics and translate them to English, but often find out that it's quite hard since they use so much poetic language and words and sentences that are not used in everyday conversations). The lyrics of this song in particular, have a lot of onomatopoeia that seems nonsensical when translated to English but is much more deeper in Korean. Next time I suggest you choose the lyric video only if it's from the channel "af taehyung" or "DIAL 6137" for better translations. Please avoid lyric video channels like "Jaeguchi" ad "Lemoring"
BTS lyrics are not always easy to pick apart if the lyrics refer to cultural or Korean references for those who are not familiar. BTS doesn't necessarily make music lyrics for specific demographic groups, but that's what make them special. They make you research, learn, and understand their lyrics for non-casual listeners. Watch the video that other ARMY members stated about the meaning of this song UGH. There are Korean UA-camers who have great explanation videos about BTS songs.
You really can't take these lyric translations at face value. I totally agree that music is art and open to interpretation, but it is helpful to have an accurate depiction of what's being said so that you can really pick it apart.
I seriously love J-Hopes solo songs… More and Arson…. Ego is fun too, but a very different vibe. Anyway, thank you Teddy for your honesty and reactions.
thank you so much for reacting to this! i 100% recommend outro:tear, the lyrics are more emotional and raw so you might see a different side to them. there’s a live performance of it with eng subs if you want to see how they are live;)
As someone who’ve been through your skz journey and seen you other reactions I bet there are lots of songs of bts that are not your cup of tea, but I bet ddaeng, silver spoon (attack on Korean cultural norms), mic drop, outro:tear, not today, run bts and their cyphers could do justice
Every time I see a bts reaction on your channel i feel both excited and stressed, because i thought you might were prejudiced against them like so many people! Please feel free to ask about the lyrics or the meanings and we kindly share our knowledge! I love BTS and SKZ so thank you for the reaction! I'm always here for the music! (Sorry for my english)
Stray kids are my ultimate favorites, but I can't pretend like bts isn't a close second, they're insane, you'll love them, also an explanation of ugh by a Korean really opens the song up, it's incredible
Another great reaction Teddy! I'm now a Stay first but I got into kpop through BTS and their rapline has always impressed me, they all have such distinct voices and vibes which makes it interesting to listen to
OMG it’s UHG! Did not expect this😂 I think no lyric translation does this song good, except for the explanation by DKDKTV. You should def check that out too cause this song is just genius after you know what they’re talking about. The color coded lyrics literally make zero sense, ngl.
There is a good explanation video to ugh. The references are routed in Korean history. Once you fully understand it’s so much more fire and shows how smart the lyrics are 🔥
The part where you wondered about being angry about pent up anger was referrering to how when BTS or any kpop group for that matter get hate, they are encouraged not to directly answer to it or react. It's especially hard when they get hate within the industry from their seniors so they usually have to bite their tongues and are told to suck it up. Basically they're saying they are mad that they are expected to endure the hate by bottling up their anger.
Teddy once again thank you for your honesty! I’ve been patiently waiting for you to do another BTS related reaction. You mentioned you already have a specific order from the MOTS album you’ll be reacting to so I can’t wait for that. But if or when you decide to delve into more of J-Hope’s solo music, I highly recommend listening to his most recent album “Jack in the Box”. I won’t say much, but it’s an album with a concept and storyline that flow very nicely from beginning to end (:
I love your honest reactions! I highly recommend watching the explanation video to this by DKDKTV. I also highly recommend Outro Tear live, if you do it you should do the Wembly Stadium performance it's fire! I consider myself a STAY as well as ARMY and I love the mutual respect they have for one another as groups. For me their is no competition or comparison to each other as they are both so unique and individual in their music. I love both! Edit just wanted to add that you cn get the properly translated version of this song on the channel Enjoy BTS More. They have a live version that they performed at the free concert they did in Busan on 10/15/2022 and the live version is so fire 🔥!
as a bts fan and also as someone who've been watching your skz journey since the beginning i'm pretty aware of bts' song that arent up your alley! but i also know songs you'll may like, their rap line - ddaeng, outro tear, the 'cyphers' (1 2 3 4), respect (only rm and suga), shadow (only suga) and the group's song - mic drop, run bts, not today, disease since you said a lot about not have listened to jhope yet and also knowing how you appreciate lyrics i mainly suggest his album wich came out this year called Jack In The Box and ALL of the song in it i think is exatcly your cup of tea!
Enjoyed this reaction. Love Stray Kids but happy to see you come back to my first love BTS. This is one of my favorite songs because it is a banger, and because it has a powerful message that was lost with this poor translation. Even with a good translation, there is a lot lost in translation, i.e. word play and Korean language and culture, so I also recommend that the DKDK TV Korean explains video. It is really good and will help you understand and appreciate the lyrics. Even RM's mention of human waste which is a play on words. Thank you for your reaction! 💜
I just finished this video and I can't tell you how much I am glad you listen to this song .. I love your honesty and your personality .. can't wait to see more of BTS English is not my first language and I tried to learn so this is me writing a comment without checking it at google translation 😅
Suga’s verse implies that when he ignores the haters, they start from poking him to progressively getting more violent as they start punching and then stabbing.
I recomend you to watch the video "bts ugh explained by a korean" that's a pretty accurated explanation since it has a lot of korean refferences, thins song is deeeper than is appears to be and is genious in my opinion
Honestly this track can be confusing thats why i really recommend dkdktvs explanation by a korean they often do this to bts rap tracks to help foreign fans to understand the language that sometimes is hard to translate and keep the intentioned meaning behind the lyrics and they talk a lot about korean cultural influences and history behind lyrics to round it out and make things clearer for those who don't know stuff like that and how it ties into the song. Especially in this song they use a lot of Korean phrases that resemble sounds used in Korean that are difficult to understand as an international fan or listener haha
Would also highly recommend you also react to the live rap performances after you analyze the lyrics. They get so hyped when they are performing you can tell how much they love doing it.
This was a really hard one to interpret and you did a really good job with the coded lyrics that sometimes don’t make complete proper translations. You mentioned in another reaction how you know there are different meanings to the same word in languages and I think that your intellect for interpretation is amazing! This is one of those rap songs. Lots of meanings to similar word. Others already mentioned DKDKTV if you wish to find out the meanings. I just love the beats and breaks to this rap as well as the meaning and the eng subtitled video. So raw and full of emotions. Great reaction! Thank you Teddy! 💜👏🫶🏼

Saying there is so much anger about everything that it is wasted....It also weakens anger when it could be used in a positive way.....and it burns before meeting it's goal..........Some KPOP idols have taken their lives over hate comments...They touch on that too
Absolutely delighted to see you doing some more BTS :) A part of me was giggling on the inside and can't wait for you to do Shadow (Suga solo) as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to everything but that song in particular I'm excited for. I don't want to give anything away though so I won't say anything more. I always love your honesty in the videos, probably why you're one of the only reactors I ever watch. Like or dislike you always have a lot of respect for the artists and realise that some things just aren't to your taste. It's really something so refreshing to see in reviews of media.
I have enjoyed your reactions so far to the members of BTS. I am a 55 year old woman from America and I love the Rap line! I am definitely Army. I felt bad during your first reaction to Joke but I saw you understood it better later. I loved your reaction to Sugar as August D as well. I love how much you get into the music and how you work to rap/sing along. I think you actually do an awesome job :-) I would suggest the Doolset lyrics as well. Some of the BTS lyrics are what they are but most have a deeper meaning that we will miss being from the West. (Sadly). It does definitely add to the feeling the song brings if you can understand what the lyrics are actually about. I would recommend the live version of Outro: Tear from Wembley Stadium. It is a fantastic performance and the English subtitles are pretty accurate. Regardless, I think I will subscribe because I am interested in your journey to discover BTS and I like the way you do your reactions. I hope you continue. Ps, sorry about your floor! :-) Hugz to you.
I was a big BTS (especially their rapline) fan before I became a SKZ fan (Changbin bias yay) too, so I'm really excited for you to explore how amazing they are. I know you always try to breakdown your understanding of the lyrics as you listen to the songs, but many of the songs have Korean wordplay and cultural references so looking up Doolset Bangtan might help! (you were asking at one part if this was a song with lyrics that didn't make sense) But anyhoo! Excited for you. I would recommend checking out Outro:Tear but reading up the story behind it first. Also Ddaeng omg but also a find a breakdown of the lyrics too bc that is full of wordplay. They have several Cyphers too. For BTS as a whole, I would recommend you can react to Mic drop knowing your taste, Dis-ease, Silver Spoon (Bapsae), and their latest one Run BTS. 😊
Same...I was a huge BTS fan (mainly during HYYH and LY eras) and recently became SKZ fan (also Changbin bias). I don't listen to too many BTS newer releases anymore except Suga's (love Seesaw and Shadow). I regret not listening to SKZ sooner, despite them being from JYPE and 2pm being my ults. I guess I was in denial because SKZ makes me feel like a grandma (being older than all of them) 😅
One of my reason to love BTS are their lyrics here some my fav: rap line: -outro: tear - strange (suga&RM) -cypher 1---4 (my fav is 2) -ddaeng -love by RM - ego by Jhope * the whole group: -Magic shop -love myself -paradise -the truth untold -black swan -blue and grey there are a lot more but I CAN'T choose 1 or 2 so this is my top 6
I'm not an army (bts music doesn't suit my tastes in general) but they have some songs like this one and Run and also Mic drop that i absolutely LOVE. To explain a little bit this song you listened to is abt haters and how people are using their energy to hate on things that shouldn't be hate on (music here) while those same people could use that energy for others matters IMPORTANT ones (feminism for example or whatever cause you believe in). So basically those people are wasting their time writing useless comments on artist which are only here making music while they could be outside fighting for world's peace. I suggest you to watch the video "UGH - BTS explained by a korean" it's really helpful to understand all this !
BTS army here 😊 we love them because they are good. Don't worry, we know the fake reaction. We support the honest one even we have to give (educate) more information about the songs/Bangtan. Thank you Teddy 🙏
Love honest reactions as an Army. Subscribed for the honesty. Keep it coming. There may be a few toxic fans, we don't claim them. All we ask for is respect. You can check out UGH live performances... There are award show performances that are simply epic and other songs that touch on social issues like: NO MORE DREAM BAEPSAE N.O. The solo stuff from the rapline is worth checking out as well.
The great thing about BTS is that they have soo much different sounds, contents, etc so not liking something doesn’t at all mean you wouldn’t like other stuff And because of their talent and them being genuine good people we are just able to appreciate and understand the context meaning effort and value their work brings, even if is not our normal cup of tea
Their diversity and depth keep me forever entertained Also when you’re able to filter out the people that just wanna fight for nothing, you find armys that are funny af, that build a community to share and enjoy all of this together too. So this BTS journey has been really great 💜
Hi Teddy, Firstly can I just start off with sayingI love your reactions, your Stray Kids reactions and Albanian songs reactions were what made me come to your channel to watch in the first place. They are always honest, real, raw and I respect what you say and absolutely love how excited/hyped you get to the point you end up making holes in your floor or was it the wall lol. Secondly, I think you should definitely check out and react to more of BTS's songs and music videos as well as the rap lines solo's, they will 100% grow on you if you keep an open mind. I would also check out the explanation videos if you don't understand certain words or references they make/use and in what context they are being made/used in. I'm a big fan of both BTS and Stray Kids, I love both as groups and individuals and they both have my full 100% support. I love them both. I personally think that all groups are different and have had difficult journeys as groups and as individuals to get where they are right now and they shouldn't ever be compared too or pitted against each other. I also don't think they should be put in a category because they all have very different styles in the way they rap and sing. I'm not saying that you have, no negativity towards you in any way, it's just an observation I have made ever since I've been watching reactions videos to Kpop and rap. I have seen other videos and podcasts in the past and all they do is compare groups to one another when in fact they all are unique in their own ways. Also, ARMY literally stands for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth. Thirdly, I would also definitely recommend watching (in your own time or as a reaction video would love that) The Introduction to BTS on YT (ua-cam.com/video/3cESARetI9U/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html) and The Rise of Bangtan also on YT (ua-cam.com/users/TheRiseOfBangtanOfficialvideos) which is fan-made documentary series (very well made by the creator) will give you more better insight to them. Recommendations that you should check out: Ddaeng (and then the explanation video to this) Outro: Tear (was written while the group was considering disbanding) Cyphers Parts 1-4 Agust D "Agust D" BTS - Hip Hop Phile BTS - Baepsae (Silver Spoon) BTS - Mic Drop BTS - Fire BTS - Not Today BTS - ON Kenetic Manifesto MV Apologies for this comment being so long and once again no negativity towards you in any way just respect for your reactions.
I’m glad someone likes their individual voices on the track! I love all 3 equally for their own reasons and they’re all good at that they’re doing here!
I highly suggest watching the DKDKTV explained by a Korean for Ugh! It explains it really well and also explains some of the cultural words/phrases that don't really make sense translated. Also, the translations on this one isn't really that great.
would really love to see you also react to the dkdktv of this or any other video that gives it context!! there are a decent amount of actual analysis videos for bts because their complex lyricism and the amount of cultural context they put in their lyrics -- it would be fun to see you react blind and what you think the lyrics mean, and then react to someone giving you context and how you feel about that! thanks for this, really looking forward to more bts rapline reacts
Well before I'm into skz, I was a huge fan of bts rap line (still am tho). They're the best 🔥 FYI, BTS originally assembled as a rap/hiphop group. RM and SUGA were in underground hiphop community, and J-HOPE in underground dance community. I suggest you search more about BTS' old formation and their debut tracks, lots of great hiphop tracks. Also all of their mixtape!
'Ugh' is a good start and there are a lot of raps to listen to from these 3 Geniuses. If you're into hardcore rap it would really make sense to tackle Cypher 1 thru 4 by BTS - something you can really sink your teeth into. I know other people have brought them up before and they know of which they speak. Looking forward to more reactions.
Oh and I'm not sure if you like live performances, but if you do, they just did a live performance of "Ugh" and their "Cypher pt.3" at their recent concert in Busan, here just this past month in October. There are great videos of that performance, its amazing, BTS are truly insane performers. So if you like live music that would probably be something you'd really enjoy
Thank you for the reaction Teddy!! Really appreciate the honest reaction, do continue to do this genuinely. Like you said not everyone is bound to love bts, you just have to get deeper into the rabbit hole to understand. I'm pretty sure as an artist you would appreciate them. The lyrics are not correct in some parts and hope you visit Doolset for the correct lyrics. Can't wait for other bts reactions. I am pretty sure you would love cypher part 4 so do check it out. Definitely don't mind long videos btw :)
It’s ego shadow and persona that are linked as part of the “self” series influenced by Jung. They’re all on the map of the soul 7 album from 2020 but Joke is from RMs 2015 mixtape
Please watch an explanation video to this. its difficult to understand when you are not korean. And the latest live performance in Busan was just pure fire. I love these guys so much.
Thank you for this reaction. I love your genuineness and yes you are not gonna like/enjoy every BTS song you may react to in the future, and it's totally fine. But please don't assume that BTS as a whole only make pop songs(they do have poppy songs yes but that's not the only genre they do as a group). They are very versatile and you will often hear that they are their own genre because they don't fit into a single box in terms of musical genres. Please react to the BTS song "Hip Hop Phile"(an example of their non-poppy group song) where they name drop their hip hop influences and also confess their love for hip hop.
Thank you for this reaction Teddy i might be a Stay but i have much respect for these 3 There's Ddaeng i am sure you will like...and also for Jhope you can react to Arson
Great reaction! I can tell you that most Army would honestly sit through a 1 hour reaction to a single BTS song. A lyrics video, followed by an official video, followed by a live performance, ending with an explanation video. We eat that up lol.
Wow, so many comments already lol. BTS is really amazing. They’re the reason I found SKZ, so they have my love for many reasons. Please keep reacting to them (even if it’s only on Patreon.) I would really be interested in some of your thoughts on the deeper stuff and some of the music videos/performances. Seriously they’re performances are legendary!! Also Black Pinks fandom are called Blinks. As always, Teddy, you are awesome!
Some of their songs have a lot of korean references + sometimes the lyrics are not correct, to have a better understanding u have to watch an explanation video , ❤
And , i really enjoy your reactions , so please react to more bts 🥹… RAPLINE: ddaeng(+explanation video), outro tear… J-hope arson Bts- run bts, hip-hop phile, born singer, mic drop (these are more like “rap” songs)
Teddy Grey is so smart! By the end of the song he was able to work it out. Of course there's some things in the song you only understand the 1st time if ur a native korean which he'll learn in the explanation vid if he interestd in that but I'm so stunned how he can work things out in the first listen!
Maybe you don't know, or maybe you do? BTS started as a full on Hip hop group around a 16 years-old RM. Their company (very small at that time) changed the project along the way while trying to avoid bankruptcy and started searching for dancers and vocalists to make it into an idol group. Even with the 4 vocalists, 80% of their early discography is based on Hip Hop and rap. Their early albums are made of lyrics written by the rap line and then the vocal line singing the bridges and chorus. They evolved adding many genres to their catalog (EDM, trap, afro-pop, latin pop, rock, R&B, Disco, Funk, Jazz, etc.) and constantly changing their writing/composing/performing dynamics. But still most of their songs have the rappers killing those verses with their witty lyrics along extremely catchy or emotional melodies by the vocal line. BTS fame is founded mostly on their lyricism and their rags to riches story (because people love the classic story of underdogs taking over). BTS fought their way against big K-Pop corporations who mocked them and tried to shut them down for trying to build a bridge between real rap with meaningful and confrontational lyrics in an idol group. They had to resist the hate and obstacles from the music industry, the hip hop underground community, the Korean media, TV personalities and some politicians in order to create what is now considered by the general public a high standard in KPOP music. It's impossible to like 100% of BTS music, because they did many different genres, explored many sides of themselves and they experimented a lot. They always come up with songs that for me are "what they were thinking? This sounds awful". It's like that for everyone, even for BTS member themselves, they have plenty of very cringy songs, and even songs the fandom will never mention.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your reaction videos for those exact reasons some people seem to get upset with you. It makes me sad that people get upset about this kind of stuff and start to bully people online. But yeah, honest opinions, even if you don't like it, stream of consciousness interpretation, lots of going back and pausing and analysing and appreciating... Love it all. I don't need to watch a reaction video where people never talk or pause, might as well just watch the video then 😂 so keep doing what you do. There is so many kind and sensible people in this fandom and I'm sorry you seem to have met so many unkind people.
1- Ugh live in Busan is a must see. 2- HIGHLY recommend DKDTV explanation video as others have. So many cultural references that non-Koreans miss. 3- I enjoy your reactions!!!!
Ugh basically talks about the role of anger, and how persons get angry at the wrong things and make big deals out of it instead of focusing on revolutionary changes using anger. But for me personally this song allowed me to develop a relationship with anger going from being generally very docile and a bit of a push over to allowing myself to be angry when the situation calls for it and expressing it without seeing it as a totally negative emotion
You might be better off watching live performances off of bangtan TV or ask which version is better. Most of these lyric videos have sh*tty translations. Also BTS always kills it live anyway. Thanks for the reaction.
I enjoy watching your reactions I am Army but I am also trying to listen to other kpop groups so when I get time I will try and listen to your reactions of other groups 💜
ARMY - Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth. Formed on July 9, 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment, and BTS. The fandom name “ARMY” also relates to the meaning of BTS’ full name, “Bangtan Sonyeondan,” which translates loosely to “Bulletproof Boyscouts” in English. *‘Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents' - J-Hope 2013.* ARMY's were meant to walk along side BTS and to stand for the underrepresented values of today's youth that BTS cover in their music. ARMY's are very diverse in age, gender, race, socio-economic level, and highly organized, intelligent, and philanthropic. (I'm a 56 yr. old ARMY, as well as my husband) BLINKS are the Blackpink fandom.
Suga's / AgustD's "Shadow" is a great introspective song where he raps both parts: Both as himself but also as his shadow.. 🌌 Personally I've been playing "The Last" a lot lately - The lyrics are Brutally straight forward - and equally Emotionally brutal, so definitely some ⚠️ Trigger warnings ⚠️ on mental health issues there if you want to give it a listen.. 💫 It's the type of song that "hurts" - But is worth it ✨🐈
When you said you haven’t heard jhope sound like that in the beginning verse and right after RM, the video was wrong. That was all still Suga. So many things wrong with this lyric video 😂 but great reaction! We are very proud of the rapline.
SUGA can wrote more than 200 songs in one year and most of the members can wrote as well if we add all they're unrealese songs BTS as enough songs ready to be recorded . even if they stop writing now they can provide songs and albums for a decade easly .
Can I just say that I really enjoy your reactions to BTS (as a group or the members individually)! - brutally honest, real and without any baggage! It takes balls to do these for a group as big as BTS, but I appreciate your honesty and fairness and I am sure there are so many people (and ARMY) out there who feel the same way. I would love to see more reactions from you - e.g. ddaeng (watch the explanation video for this one first, the lyrics require a Korean explaining their meaning to give it its due credit), outdo: tear, and some pretty amazing live performances by the rap line. And tbh, I’m pretty sure you would actually enjoy some of the BTS songs that are not 100% rap too. For J-Hope there is also his new album that came out this year - from that I would recommend at least ‘More’.
thank you for checking them out :) a lot of bts rapline's lyricism cannot simply be understood by non-korean native speakers with only directly english translations. there are a lot of korean wordplay and cultural references, which is why although i personally don't like watching explanation/breakdown videos, i would say watching DKDKTV's explanation video is very helpful if you want to have a better understanding of their choice of words in this song. for instance, you'll find out what suga's tuktuk & pookpook means, as well is what the "ahem" means. (also keep in mind that a lot of colour-coded lyric videos are not very accurate or helpful, they put them out extremely fast every time new music drops with lyrics poorly translated word-by-word, a lot of times without considering what a whole phrase is trying to convey. and they also mess up who's singing on a lot of occasions)
"Ahem" represents the sound of someone clearing their throat - like if someone is inappropriate, vocalized as a way of getting their attention without having to actually say it. Also, as an upper class vocalization to someone "below them" to remember their station in life.
There's an explained VDO that make clear on BTS lyrics. You can check out the DKDKTV by searching for the songs like UGH, Ddaeng, BAPSAE, Spring Day, and etc.
We've told him before. He just doesn't listen.
@@SilverFang95 hope he does someday tho
@@SilverFang95 He doesn't want to. He thinks he knows it all.
This man is an anti of bts I hope none of you watch this mans trash videos
I was just gonna say this!!! I hope he looks into it and it would be awesome if he posts a reaction video as well!!
As a stay, I love BTS rap line!
As a stay and army I couldn’t agree more
Same
Love BTS and Stray kids 💜💜
As an Army i love stray kids 💜
As an Army I love the SKZ rap line!!! 💜❤
I totally agree that music is art and open to interpretation, but it is helpful to have an accurate depiction of what's being said so that you can really pick it apart.
i like ugh. but in my opinion, the highest level of rapline is in Cypher pt.3 to be honest. they killed it.
I love this reaction. and waiting for another reaction for BTS.
The live version…Busan concert
@@karenkleier8193 yes. he had to react to this.
the holy trinity for me ugh, chyper pt.3, and outro: tear 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes, need a react video to Cypher 3
i love that you try to understand the lyrics, is much more engaging than a simple react. you are definitely my favorite
I'm not a fan of bts but have to admit their rap line is insane 😍
You can be a fan of bts, without being an army. Bts are amazing humble 7 men. I wish them good luck for their military
I seriously love J-Hopes solo songs… More and Arson…. Ego is fun too, but a very different vibe. Anyway, thank you Teddy for your honesty and reactions.
Yeap I agree ego is more a pop song...more and arson are so much deep and with rock vibes...
thank you so much for reacting to this! i 100% recommend outro:tear, the lyrics are more emotional and raw so you might see a different side to them. there’s a live performance of it with eng subs if you want to see how they are live;)
👆 The one from Wembley is the bomb 💣
I'm now a Stay first but I got into kpop through BTS and their rapline has always impressed me, they all have such distinct voices and vibes which makes it interesting to listen to
literally same
OMG it’s UHG!
They have a live version that they performed at the free concert they did in Busan on 10/15/2022 and the live version is so fire 🔥!
as a bts fan and also as someone who've been watching your skz journey since the beginning i'm pretty aware of bts' song that arent up your alley! but i also know songs you'll may like, their rap line - ddaeng, outro tear, the 'cyphers' (1 2 3 4), respect (only rm and suga), shadow (only suga) and the group's song - mic drop, run bts, not today, disease
since you said a lot about not have listened to jhope yet and also knowing how you appreciate lyrics i mainly suggest his album wich came out this year called Jack In The Box and ALL of the song in it i think is exatcly your cup of tea!
I love your honesty and your personality .. can't wait to see more of BTS
English is not my first language and I tried to learn so this is me writing a comment without checking it at google translation 😅
Suga’s verse implies that when he ignores the haters, they start from poking him to progressively getting more violent as they start punching and then stabbing.
Best rapline in industry for a reason🫡💜
I recomend you to watch the video "bts ugh explained by a korean" that's a pretty accurated explanation since it has a lot of korean refferences, thins song is deeeper than is appears to be and is genious in my opinion
hi! could you share the link of the vid you’re referring to? thank you in advance 🫶🏻
Yes yes yes! 100% he should watch it
I stand by this
@@slowrainid Hi, this is the explanation video they talk about 😊ua-cam.com/video/Cq3nGiu0_gI/v-deo.html
@@monicarojas9610 thank you!! ☺️
There’s some really good explanation videos for some of BTS’s song. They are really insightful
Would also highly recommend you also react to the live rap performances after you analyze the lyrics. They get so hyped when they are performing you can tell how much they love doing it.
Oh yeah the latest Busan live concert is perfect for this.
Can I please suggest the live version of this at the Busan concert?! They also do cypher 3 right after, that would be a fun watch 🥰 thanks

Saying there is so much anger about everything that it is wasted....It also weakens anger when it could be used in a positive way.....and it burns before meeting it's goal..........Some KPOP idols have taken their lives over hate comments...They touch on that too
When the perform this song live it is *amazing*. Wait till you hear the Cyphers and Ddaeng.
Thank you so much for this reaction 💜 I hope you check out more from BTS 💜 love your reactions!
(you were asking at one part if this was a song with lyrics that didn't make sense)
But anyhoo!
I guess I was in denial because SKZ makes me feel like a grandma (being older than all of them) 😅
That beat/production is SOOO hard
One of my reason to love BTS are their lyrics here some my fav:
rap line:
-outro: tear
- strange (suga&RM)
-cypher 1---4 (my fav is 2)
-ddaeng
-love by RM
- ego by Jhope
*
the whole group:
-Magic shop
-love myself
-paradise
-the truth untold
-black swan
-blue and grey
there are a lot more but I CAN'T choose 1 or 2 so this is my top 6
I respect your taste, you may not like bts songs in general, similarly I may not like your fav songs.
This is why Jhope is my favorite member, his voice is so unique and his RANGE and diversity of tone is CRAZY
There are award show performances that are simply epic and other songs that touch on social issues like:
NO MORE DREAM
BAEPSAE
N.O.
The solo stuff from the rapline is worth checking out as well.
The great thing about BTS is that they have soo much different sounds, contents, etc so not liking something doesn’t at all mean you wouldn’t like other stuff
And because of their talent and them being genuine good people we are just able to appreciate and understand the context meaning effort and value their work brings, even if is not our normal cup of tea
Their diversity and depth keep me forever entertained
Also when you’re able to filter out the people that just wanna fight for nothing, you find armys that are funny af, that build a community to share and enjoy all of this together too.
So this BTS journey has been really great 💜
Hi Teddy,
Firstly can I just start off with sayingI love your reactions, your Stray Kids reactions and Albanian songs reactions were what made me come to your channel to watch in the first place.
Also, ARMY literally stands for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth.
Thirdly, I would also definitely recommend watching (in your own time or as a reaction video would love that)
The Introduction to BTS on YT (ua-cam.com/video/3cESARetI9U/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html)
and The Rise of Bangtan also on YT (ua-cam.com/users/TheRiseOfBangtanOfficialvideos) which is fan-made documentary series (very well made by the creator) will give you more better insight to them.
Recommendations that you should check out:
Ddaeng (and then the explanation video to this)
Outro: Tear (was written while the group was considering disbanding)
Cyphers Parts 1-4
Agust D "Agust D"
BTS - Hip Hop Phile
BTS - Baepsae (Silver Spoon)
BTS - Mic Drop
BTS - Fire
BTS - Not Today
BTS - ON Kenetic Manifesto MV
Apologies for this comment being so long and once again no negativity towards you in any way just respect for your reactions.
If you want to hear Suga do what he did in the chorus again PLS LISTEN TO SHADOW BY SUGA. Shit goes crazy and there’s a mv that is just art man
I’m really glad you reacted to this one, I think you will really enjoy Suga/Agust D/Yoongi’s Interlude: Shadow.
I really like your reactions. You are honest and it's really nice to see your videos as an army
You are my favorite reactor because of how honest you are in your reactions. I love both BTS and SKZ.
EGO (J-Hope), Shadow (Suga) and Persona (RM) are from the same project. The meaning behind all 3 are very interesting.
would really love to see you also react to the dkdktv of this or any other video that gives it context!! there are a decent amount of actual analysis videos for bts because their complex lyricism and the amount of cultural context they put in their lyrics -- it would be fun to see you react blind and what you think the lyrics mean, and then react to someone giving you context and how you feel about that! thanks for this, really looking forward to more bts rapline reacts
I ALWAYS HAD FAITH, I SO HAPPY, THANKS FOR THE REACTION. Please react to cyper 1,2,3, and 4 is fire🔥🔥
U should watch their busan ugh live performance it was amazing!!
Finally BTS... Waiting for TEAR, Shadow, Ego and Persona now
Oh and I'm not sure if you like live performances, but if you do, they just did a live performance of "Ugh" and their "Cypher pt.3" at their recent concert in Busan, here just this past month in October. There are great videos of that performance, its amazing, BTS are truly insane performers. So if you like live music that would probably be something you'd really enjoy
Obviously I’m a Stay but BTS inspired them so I always a fan!
They did beech sht up
@@MorePara8 shut up
Thank you for the reaction Teddy!!
Please react to the BTS song "Hip Hop Phile"(an example of their non-poppy group song) where they name drop their hip hop influences and also confess their love for hip hop.
thank you so much keep it up I love your reactions
Thank you for this reaction Teddy i might be a Stay but i have much respect for these 3
There's Ddaeng i am sure you will like...and also for Jhope you can react to Arson
I think you would love listening to J-Hopes new solo album Jack in the Box. It's amazing both lyrically, musically, and visually
Some of their songs have a lot of korean references + sometimes the lyrics are not correct, to have a better understanding u have to watch an explanation video , ❤
And , i really enjoy your reactions , so please react to more bts 🥹…
RAPLINE: ddaeng(+explanation video), outro tear…
J-hope arson
Bts- run bts, hip-hop phile, born singer, mic drop (these are more like “rap” songs)
Thank you. I'm a STAY also an ARMY. 💚💜 IM HAPPY TO FIND YOUR CHANNEL.
Bro as deep as this song is, it’s literally my workout song
Thank you for the reaction 💜
There is so many kind and sensible people in this fandom and I'm sorry you seem to have met so many unkind people.
recently they did a live presentation of this song and cypher 3 I recommend you watch it because it was incredible
Finallyyyy! Love this reaction, and you should definitely check out the explanation by a korean for this. 🤗
TEDDY you HAVE to react to all their cyphers preferably at once so you see their growth in flow and lyricism Cypher Pt.1- 4
You should go watch the recent Busan concert where they did Ugh and Cypher 3 back to back live. It’s incredible with a live band!
The caption- YES BTS CAN RAP! Lmao
You might be better off watching live performances off of bangtan TV or ask which version is better. Most of these lyric videos have sh*tty translations. Also BTS always kills it live anyway. Thanks for the reaction.
as a stay, this is my fav. bts song ever its just so good
I enjoy watching your reactions I am Army but I am also trying to listen to other kpop groups so when I get time I will try and listen to your reactions of other groups 💜
*‘Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents' - J-Hope 2013.*
ARMY's were meant to walk along side BTS and to stand for the underrepresented values of today's youth that BTS cover in their music. ARMY's are very diverse in age, gender, race, socio-economic level, and highly organized, intelligent, and philanthropic. (I'm a 56 yr. old ARMY, as well as my husband)
BLINKS are the Blackpink fandom.
You have to see the live performance at the ON:E online concert, it’s my favorite 😍💜
SUGA can wrote more than 200 songs in one year and most of the members can wrote as well if we add all they're unrealese songs BTS as enough songs ready to be recorded . even if they stop writing now they can provide songs and albums for a decade easly .
My favorites rappers
Dont even bother watching him. All he does is hate on bts on twitter
But have you seen the live performance for this song… Insaaaaayyyynnnnn!!! 😊
thank you for checking them out :)
a lot of bts rapline's lyricism cannot simply be understood by non-korean native speakers with only directly english translations. there are a lot of korean wordplay and cultural references, which is why although i personally don't like watching explanation/breakdown videos, i would say watching DKDKTV's explanation video is very helpful if you want to have a better understanding of their choice of words in this song. for instance, you'll find out what suga's tuktuk & pookpook means, as well is what the "ahem" means.
You might also enjoy “Ddaeng” it’s by BTS rap line as well 😊
"Ahem" represents the sound of someone clearing their throat - like if someone is inappropriate, vocalized as a way of getting their attention without having to actually say it. Also, as an upper class vocalization to someone "below them" to remember their station in life.
They performed this live at their Busan Concert in October!
Bts are all rounders
There's an explained VDO that make clear on BTS lyrics. You can check out the DKDKTV by searching for the songs like UGH, Ddaeng, BAPSAE, Spring Day, and etc.
