What is even more amazing about Tae is when he performed Singularity live it still sounded just as perfect. This man’s voice is truly one of a kind.
Just to clarify, I’m actually not an anti anything! But I do get called a BTS anti often by *some* Army whenever I say I didn’t like something so, until I actually react to BTS and perhaps prove you all otherwise, I’m happy to take the title. You can NEVER say I’m anti-V though 😭😂

Just glad you are expanding a little. I know a lot of people don't want to do BTS because they have so much already but the fact is they are so good it's just inevitable. I put BTS off for so long, thinking they were just another tinnie bopper group. That is so far from the truth. I never want to cut myself off from music again because I think it might be a certain way. Because of what I did with BTS I lost out!
The song was written by RM. He's the poet and philosopher of the group.
RM is amazing
Singularity is V at his finest and no one can tell me otherwise. The way he sings so comfortably and yet sounds so powerful, the magnetism, the looks, the dances, everything just screams his persona and I freaking love it, this reaction could be one hour long and I wouldn't mind.
Love Yourself series brought up a lot of questions about how much we relate the way we love ourselves with the love we can get from relationships and how it affect us. They showed us this depedance is never healthy, especially because relationships can end and leave us lost, without having nothing else to hold on.
I really hope you can give a chance to their songs in this era, the philosophical magical touch from RM can be seen everywhere too, like in this song (he co-writted Singularity).

This was one of the songs that really solidified what an amazing neo-soul r&b singer V is. His voice just buttery smooth and perfect. Paired with a song RM wrote specifically for him (RM woke from an outpatient surgery and in like 30 mins had this written a draft with only V in mind to sing it). The MV is also perfect. The live is deadly. Especially blonde Tae.

This song brought me to BTS, and to this day it is my favorite song. seriously, Singularity is such a charming song and the way Taehyung presented it is crazy. I remember that when I first saw the MV and heard a voice, I just fell. the live performance is just wow. Namjoon wrote Singularity and said that Taehyung simply saved this song.

The producer is Charlie j Perry ( I think British). V has never worked with him before. Perry and RM are credited for writing this song. Rm wrote this with V in mind. RM said that V is someone who can sing any genre but neosoul really suits his voice. This son is an intro to the album love yourself tears. It is a critically acclaimed song which made the annual song lists for all the major newspapers. Media stated that the live performance during their concerts was the MVP stand out performance. You really need to check out the live version, though he performed each time different;y so you’d have to watch a lot of them to get the outstanding performance he did was this song.

Singularity blew my mind, that's how I discovered his music.
V's potential seems so immense, he needs to work full time as a soloist and do BTS on side. All members should too but especially V's music cause it feels heavenly, he's like a new genre in himself. Also his songwriting is so human and touching. I still listen to his old songs everyday, for me his voice slows down time.
theres another taehyung song under bts' name! its called "stigma" AND ITS SOOO GOOD 😭 and if you ever do a bts song i recommend "louder than bombs", "house of cards" (its a vocal line song, so only 4 members), "tomorrow", "black swan" and "On: Kinect Manifesto" :) thank you for this reaction btw

I found your channel when I became a Stay, which was around the time you did and I always LOVED how you react to a song on such a deep level! It‘s always so interesting to hear your interpretations, that I didn‘t think of at the time🤩 i‘ve been an army (and V bias) way longer than a stay and I‘m so exited for you to get into their music. I think there is a lot for you to like. However I also appreciate when you give your honest opinion when you don‘t like something (even though some armys can get very offended which i really don‘t understand… everyone is allowed to to have their own opinion…) I do love BTS a lot, but I also don‘t absolutely like everything they have ever released. V's voice is a soul soother for sure. His was the 1st I fell in love with. All his solo (way before Layover) and RMs Indigo album were on repeat for me when I first started falling for BTS.
Someone already mentioned, but BTS are known for concept albums and even though this is a V solo it's the opener for their album Love Yourself: Tear that sets the stage for exploring all the ways we can lose yourselves in love...and not always romantic either. The closer for the album is Outro: Tear which is a rapline track about them considering disbanding. The live version is 🤌. Fake Love is also part of this album and 134340 about Pluto losing it's Planet status which is an apology for a relationship status change. Paradise is also a fav comfort song of mine for when you lose your way.
Hi Teddy, i’m a 40y.o. baby ARMY and I must say I have had preconceived notion abt the group before but guess what??? The thing is, it might sound cliche at this point to say but their musicality and their talent got me up at one point when every night would be a constant struggle. You would need to get to know them to really understand why ARMY’s are so protective of them. You see when they started they have been under a label that was insignificant and were constantly being bashed and trashed. They proved all their adversaries wrong and did it with so much hard work. See their earlier songs and dance practices to know where and how they started. I think we as fans feel like we would need to constantly protect them because they truly deserve it. This entire album is about the concept of love, fake love, being someone you aren't for the sake of love, only to have it fall apart or lose sight of you. And only being true to you can bring you authentic love. If I recall, Namjoon wrote this.
As for is this BTS or is it V.... it's still BTS. It's on BTS album. Written and produced by them and their team. However, there are certain songs that are individual songs. Filter, for Jimin. Seesaw, SUGA. etc. Just like a mini showcase so they could show their own style within the greater scope of the team. This was before there was any indication of solo albums.

BTS best music is in the b-sides, at last to me. not that i don´t love the title tracks but seriously i have not heard a single album with a single bad song, it´s actually crazy.
i remember when i first got into BTS 3 years ago i was afraid to listen to more music afraid it would not be as good as the first song. but damn even the smallest songs you only know about after being an army for a long time is amazing. and i have not seen a group or any solo artist have so diversity in their music.

"Phantom pain" can refer to the pain an amputee feels in the nerves that attached to the limb that is missing. So a pain centered in a part of you that is no longer there
I love V's voice, and him singing this song, but I love, love, love him singing Stigma, boy oh boy, Stigma really shows the diversity of range in his voice, blew my mind when he hit that note, if your Army, you will know what I mean.
Teddy honestly I stan multiple Kpop groups, but BTS was the group that got me interested in Kpop, their discography is amazing and I honestly think you would love a lot of their music, both vocally and rap. For the rap line songs, I think you would like their Cyphers 1 - 4, they be spitting some bars, then there is DDAENG, UGH, but my favourite is Tear, for vocal line, House of Cards is my favourite, followed closely with Dimple and Truth Untold. As for the overall group songs, well boy there's so many, but I think you may prefer some of their older stuff, to some of their newer stuff. Anyway, I will wait to see if you definitely start to delve further with BTS in the future xxx

You should see his live version at Tokyo Dome. RM said V is the only one who could sing and perform this. He said the fans were screaming about every 3 seconds during the song when he was performing. Stigma is another great song by V. It's one he wrote himself.
