Small Vintage Socket Set Renewal - 4K

This is my restoration of an old rusty socket set.
I really like this simple design, and have wanted to do a video with something like this for a while.
The tin was in a really bad shape with significant pitting all over.
I used far too much filler to smooth out the outside surfaces, and it took longer than it should’ve to sand it down. I’ve learnt for next time that; ‘less is more’.
Although the original paint appeared to be orange, I’m happy that I went with a dark green.
The sockets and socket handle were also really corroded, to the point where I’m not even sure of their sizes.
I thought that cleaning them up and giving them a rough polish would keep the set looking authentic.
Overall, I’m pleased with the end result.

Nice job at cleaning everything up. But without any coating on the wrench and sockets, they will rust again in very short time. BUT, you could Nickel coat/plate them using Electro Plating technique and they would shine forever...or near about... Thumbs Up!
