Got my Phoenixcall today based on your reviews. Thank you. Now I need a budget dongle to match it. The new Dawn Pro looks interesting. Just need to wait until some reviews come out. I had the Shio with the S12 Pro but that was a bit too bright of a combo.
I use the Gumiho I like it so much that I now want the circle SPD, I can't wait until they resale it. At the same time i like the look of PHOENIXCALL, colorful and i can the quietly blind
You can always rely on Akros! Had my eye on these! Which of the Celest Phoenixcall and Tanchjim Kara would you recommend as a replacement for the 41T? 41T had too tame midbass for my liking. Having said that, I have the Penon 10th on the way already, so maybe the Phoenixcall is a bit redundant if you have the 10th? Looking for an everyday carry
Thank you for the support. Well if you have a 10th the Phoenixcall is redundant. Mid bass wise the Yanyin Cannon is a beast....it could be a viable every day set. However wait for the 10th ....it's gonna suprise you 😉
@@akros9333 Oh, I believe the 10th will satisfy 😉 But an every day set for me is something small form factor/comfortable for all day use, and I can use when speaking to people via discord/playing games etc. Canon may be a good choice for that!
Brilliant review, very detailed, mutiple comparisons, lots of information for a noob like myself to take on board. I'm thinking of getting this IEM. Currently I only own a Simgot EA500 and a kz zs10 pro x. Is the Pheonixcall still worth getting 8 months later? I've only recently got into iems. Usually i use over ears, I'm using Audio Technica Msr7b. Devices I have are Fiio m15s, Ibasso dx180, hiby r4, Sony nw a306 Japan model, I have a dongle and an DAC amp (fiio q11 and kiwi ears allegro, I don't like the allegro much) until like 1 year ago I only owned is a surfans f20 with Sony ch720n. So in regards to iems, I want to buy a more expensive pair, but I really do not know the pedigree of all the iem brands. While I read a lot of reviews, some are so conflicting and contradictory that I'm reserved about taking the gamble. So until I'm more knowledgeable I'm only willing to spend £150 ish on my next iem. I actually just ordered a Moondrop miad phone which I'm excited about. So if the Phoenixcall isn't still worth it, what other tribrid in the same price range would you recommend?
Nice review and IEM , I hope you also review the new Shanling Sono , A 79 dollar iem with interesting configuration , Composed of a 9.2mm bass dd , 6.8mm dd coaxially mounted in front of the bigger dd with separate motor and 2 BAs. Thank you for the review.
It's interesting to get some view about the previous two models being a bit childish , I suppose this is a case of culture divide , both of them are based on Chinese mythical creature and mythology so for those with the culture and historical background it's no more different than some high end IEM named after Athena , Zeus, or Thor That stated I think most of that is due to the graphic used on the packaging both the actual IEM themselves and the box but even those are based off actual traditional painting depicting the mythical creatures, but yes they could have been less vivid with those Just got this IEM on X'mas offer , they change the faceplate finishing and now spot " Celest " foil stamped and embedded there , would be doing the rounds this next couple of weeks
What were the superior EST implementations? I'm curious if the Empire EIVEC makes a difference, I believe you have an ISN or Soundrhyme set that uses it.
Shame Kinera seem to be trying to price themselves into oblivion. £750 for a sub-brand product, I don't think so, especially when their 1st 2 sets were both under £50. Coupled with Kinera's Loki at £2700, it would seem Kinera are committing financial suicide... Shame because they made some great, well priced sets in the past.
I've had the Phoenixcall for a few days. Definitely an awesome IEM especially for $129. Very pleased with the purchase. A definite no brainer IMO.
