Hi, how do these compare with ‘Kz castor-bass varient’ in terms of overall sound, fun and comfort. Im a student, i dont have much money so ur advice would really help me alot cus kz castor is like 20$. At the same time i dont mind spending the extra 100$ if its worth it. Thank you for reading. Thank you so much for the kind words! 🥰 I really appreciate it and it makes me so happy! To be honest stick with the castor, the castor bass at $12 is a great iem. Although yes the phoenixcall is a step up, i would say save the money. 🙂 If possible get a Moondrop Dawn Pro or Akliam PD4 Plus dongle dac and get a cheap 4.4mm and use it with the castor. The castor does scale very well with power. The moondrop dawn pro was on sale for $35 (during the sale), AkLiam PD4 Plus for $43 (during a sale) and a 4.4mm cable could be bought for $12-15. I use castor bass edition with a 4.4mm on a dac and that extra power really does sound nice. If you think that all the dongle dac and cable is too much, just buy the castor and a apple dongle and be happy 🙂 The castor is a really good iem and it comes with good sets of tips too.
