- Hello Everyone! Thank you for visiting my channel! In this video, I show how I completed this beautiful Pineapple Quilt. I had a few bumps along the way but I really enjoy creating this stunning block. I used the Pineapple Trim Tool from Creative Grids, solid black fabric from Kona, scrappy blue fabrics from my stash, charcoal Dry Brush from Wilmington for the outer border and a dark gray Minky for the backing. This. Quilt. Is. Heavy! 😁💪 The final size is approximately 95" x 105", which I would call an XL Queen. The photo of the quilt on a bed is shown on a King size bed. I freehand quilted with a meander stitch making sure each tiny piece of fabric was secured with stitches. I used a medium gray So Fine thread. I used a Kona navy for the binding, all stitched by machine. I appreciate you for stopping by! 🌳💚

Beautiful blocks. Blue is a heavenly color. Super.
Blue is the best! Thank you so much! 💙🩵
I plan to make this quilt with scraps from our guild. We are overwhelmed with scraps, so this will be a great comfort quilt. Some people question that I make complicated quilts for charity quilting, but I’m having fun doing it and we end up with something special for someone.
I love your positive outlook and the warmth in your heart for others. Keep doing what you love ❤️
The complete quilt is stunning. Just found your channel today. I have that ruler, but haven't yet attempted the pineapple block. This video was so helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and welcome! I’m glad this video was helpful. You’ll love the ruler and how helpful it is ❤️
I love how you work through all rounds of the block, giving us pointers and telling us what you struggled with. So many UA-cam tutorials only do the first 3 rounds, leaving me with lots of questions.
I appreciate you so much! I am so glad this was helpful 😊 Happy sewing to you! 🧵😁💙
Beautiful quilt
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for explaining "round 9". I misplaced the instructions for my ruler and was losing my mind trying to figure out what I was missing. No one else has explained this trim step after round 8 before sewing on the corners. I started my quilt 4 years ago and I'm determined to finish it this spring.
You are so very welcome! I’m glad my instructions were helpful 😊 Good luck on finishing your quilt. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing!😄
Beautiful! Thank you SO MUCH for this inspiring video. I’m about to start my 12 inch skinny scrappy so this was a great help in understanding the ruler. Perfect tone and easy to listen to.
Hello Margaret! I am so happy this video was helpful! Thank you for your kind words and good luck on your project! 😊🌳💚
Great blocks and also nice the black and blue.
Thank you! It was out of my comfort zone but I’m pleased with the result! 😊
Just beautiful! I’m all about jewel tones. Nice job!
Thank you so much! Jewel tones are so bold and lovely 💙🖤
Fabulous. You are delightful. And a great teacher. Thanks. ❤
Wow, thank you! You brighten my day with your kindness ❤️☺️❤️
This is a great video!
Thank you! ❤️
Thanks for all the information. I have this ruler, but haven't used it yet. Great video!
Glad it was helpful! Good luck on your pineapple quilt. The ruler is fantastic 😊
Fabulous video! Thank you! 🎉❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!! 💙🫶🏼🧵
Very nice. I have the smaller pineapple ruler.. Have not used it yet (need to locate it in the sewing room). But you have made the instructions very very clear.
I appreciate that so much! 😊 I have used the small ruler to make an adorable little pillow all from scraps. Good luck on your search! 😂
Loved your tutorial. I just got this ruler and I'm eager to get started now that you have shown the way! Thank You.
Yay! It is an amazing ruler! Glad the tutorial was helpful! Happy sewing! 🧵 😄💙
That looks like sooo much work! I’m a beginner quilter and all self taught by video and book. This quilt is absolutely stunning! I appreciate your honesty in whole process and find it refreshing. Perhaps someday in the near future I will try this block (in a smaller project). Thanks for a terrific video! Deb
Hi Deb! Thank you for being here 😊 Welcome to quilting! I too am a visual learner and love being able to watch the process and get tips along the way. I wish you all the best! 🌸😁❤️
I love the pineapple block so much! that I found an amazing book and ruler, quilter/teacher Jodi barrows that shows you how to make a lot of blocks with square in a square ! I do love using the creative grids one to ! ❤ love your quilt ❤
I'll have to check it out! Thank you! 😁
It is absolutely gorgeous!!! Blue is my favorite color so your quilt is perfect as far as I am concerned!!! I watched you make it and I had no idea it would not be very complicated. Thanks for sharing with us. I hope you enjoy your quilt for a very long time.
Thank you so much! The quilt is living in her new home! She was a present for a husband to his wife who had always wanted a ‘real quilt’! 😁❤️😊
I love the colors and how it turned out! ❤
Thank you very much!! ❤️
I made a giant pineapple block a few years ago. It’s maybe 60 inches square. It turned out beautifully except it is super wavy. So it sits in a UFO pile as an unfinished flimsy. I guess I needed a pineapple trim tool. I’ve contemplated cutting it up but I don’t have it in me. You have great tips here.thanks.
I bet your pineapple quilt is just lovely! I’m not sure but maybe a very hot iron and steam may help a bit with the flimsiness 🤔 Either way, quilting it may help as well. Plus, it’ll come out of that UFO pile and become someone’s favorite I’m sure. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Gorgeous! I think I'm going to try one in 2024.
You can do it! Thank you so much 😊
Both quilts are great. Your final quilt is breathtaking 😍
Thank you so much! 😊
I love the idea of a pineapple quilt but the waste! I know that you're using scrap fabric but still, I just can't do it lol.
Lol, completely understandable! 😂
Nice video, just waiting for the large ruler to do this as well! Great job, thank you. It came out beautiful.
You will love your ruler! Thanks for your kindness and for watching 😍❤️😊
❤ thanks for the great tutorial
You’re welcome 😊 Thank you for watching!
So pretty! 😍
Thank you!! 😊
This was very, very helpful. Appreciate your time for the walk through of your experience and the great tips! 👍🤗. I found a pineapple quilt ruler at a yard sale (no name brand) and whilst following along with you, this ruler has very similar markings. New quilter here and planning on recycling clothing scraps to begin this fall. I definitely will return to your channel. Thank you again🤗🇨🇦
Hello! Great find at a yard sale! I’m so glad the video was helpful. I love your idea of using clothing scraps for your project. Please let me know if you have any questions along the way! Have a wonderful day! 🤗
Beautiful, thank you for great tutorial

Ohhh thank you. Am very happy excited that you explain it sew well. I was intimidating sew I left the template on my later project.. So I will make it this New Year and follow your step by step video
Awh, you are so sweet! I’m glad to have been helpful 😊 Please let me know any questions you have and I’ll do my best to help. You can do it! Thank you sew much ❤️
Beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
Oh my goodness that is beautiful! I’m glad I watch your video. I recently bought the ruler but had no idea it took so much fabric. I wanted the ruler to use up some scraps. Your quilt is amazing!
Thank you so much! I know if I would have started with the 1 3/4” size I would have been better off. I will definitely make this with scraps for both sections next time. Not so much guilt for the waste Lol 😁
Thank you. First time seeing you and loved your style of tutorial. Did you back your quilt with minky/fleece and did you put batting in the middle? Have subscribed.
Hello and thank you! Yes, I used a Minky blanket for the backing plus batting in the middle. It is super floppy and super warm. ❤️
Just beautiful! I’m all about jewel tones. Nice job!
Thanks so much!
Beautiful!
Thank you so much! ❤️😁🫶🏼
Beautiful quilt
