Huge Freewing and MotionRC fan. But I was stunned when I bought this plane and saw the landing gear it came with and no option to upgrade the gear. I get that there were some cost savings with spring gear, but this is so unlike any of the Freewing jets I’ve bought. (Me-262, both versions of the T-33, the L-39, and the work of art in EDF’s, the 90mm F-22)
Sweet flight James!. Love my 70mm Yak 130. I bought and installed the 2210 kv last summer and really boosted the performance to the next level!. Learned throttle management and nose up approach on this bird. Worked for me as a first jet!. Can't say enough good things about it!. Thanks Motion R.C.!.
No, they have been discontinued...hopefully because of something better in the future because I bet they flew well and am now mad I never got to experience one
I have mine on full flap (not mid flaps) to elevator mix, +1 just enough to keep the nose up as the jet slows down... and I mean is nothing, +1 or +2 on low rates. Fly it just a little tail heavy for better landings. *minor minor adjusments go a long way. Use the kitchen grip mats to prevent the battery from sliding while doing maneuvers.
Red is always a good color. Two position flap switch? I always use the long 3 position switch above the throttle. Changing where the switches are is a recipe for disaster..
Yeah, I only recently got this Futaba and the switches are different from my old radio. None of the 3 position placements are where I would be used to them yet

James,
Will the 90mm versions be coming back?
No, they have been discontinued...hopefully because of something better in the future because I bet they flew well and am now mad I never got to experience one
@@MotionRC Yeah same here...the red one :(
Are there 2 versions of this yak 130 70mm, because another from 3 years ago does not want to take off grass, underpowered
Why is the 90mm discontinued?
Does the bird need any flap to elevator mix? Getting on ready to maiden & would like to know.

Where is your spotter?
What battery dose she use?
A 6S 4000 - 5000 mAh pack. I am using the admiral pro 4000mAh 6S in this video
Thanks
"GEAR UP!" 🤣🤣🤣
Hold up.. it's legit..retracts!! I just saw the wire gear and assumed fixed gear. Well, I was wrong!
Is the landing gear strong enough?
For what?
@@MotionRC Freewing yak130 landing gear
@@이현서-d3e Strong enough for what? If you can land competently, all landing gear is strong

Yep, I want 3 position switches everywhere except retracts and throttle cut (top rear corners)..
Motion, we need a 80/90mm J10, single servo on canards, ultra lightweight design, optional TV. Please!
