  • The FMS Yak 130mm RC plane is just absurdly good for the price. $339 gets you a jet that flies like it has pitch thrust vectoring. It's so docile until you decide to jam the stick, then it wakes up and flies like a true beast. Want one for yourself? Use the code TwobrosRC for $15 off your order and pick it up via bit.ly/FMSYak130 to support the crazy stuff we do here at Two Brothers Radio Control. Thanks for watching!
    🔋 SMC Batteries
    We're flying on SMC Batteries from www.smc-racing.com and you should too. The LiHV packs are outstanding and you won't believe how well they perform until you try them for yourself.

    I clocked my year-old Yak at 106mph with a GPS last week. Good estimate Jon. I was using a 4000mah 60c Zeee pack. I'm sure lighter batteries can get faster speeds.

      Absolutely they can. We did some speed testing of the Viper 90mm with Zeee packs vs SMC packs and there was a 15 to 20 MPH difference in top speed.

    Man, i almost bought this back when i made the mistake of buying the freewing f35. I like a planes that can be manuverable/playful when you want, look cool when flying, and have good speed when you get on it. The f35 did great except for the playfulness. I knew i shouldve followed my gut, but the only people ive seen fly the yak use it as a trainer jet and it just looked porky in the air😆. Good job on showing what this airframe is really capable of

    The fun your having with this Yak!! Our thoughts align, while watching, I was thinking could he land it flat without quashing it. Though I don't own this bird yet, it was my first edf "crush". The design and appearance is really nice imo.
    How about a comparison video between MRC and FMS Yak-130?? I always leaned towards the FMS simply because the Rudder bolts on and only utilizes "a little" glue.

      As a first jet, the Rafale 64mm is a better choice - easier to repair, cheaper to replace components. That or the Viper 70mm: bit.ly/Viper70 - we usually recommend Vipers to beginners because they teach how jets must be handled and flown.

  • @jive7777
    @jive7777 Рік тому +2

    Great job again guys! Lot of fun there! I would love to see a comparison between this and the Freewing model. FMS website calls this an advanced trainer. Would you recommend this for a first jet? Could you recommend some other first jets? Been flying for over a year, I have 11 planes, all prop. Been wanting to get into EDF, just not sure where to start. Thanks!

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  Рік тому +1

      Definitely wouldn't recommend this as a first jet. The Rafale 64mm or Viper 70mm are both solid choices there. We'd highly recommend the Viper as it's a cheaper training jet that flies great and will teach you how jets fly, and most importantly how they stall: ua-cam.com/video/g5rjEtTnAnw/v-deo.html

    Great flying! Just curious because I asked you about this plane on Instagram a while back, was I the only one who mentioned it’s kulbit ability or is that something a lot of people know about with this jet? Also wow do you ever get a great falling leaf kind of exit, you have to mix in the flaps for that? Mine are all pretty straight down on exit

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  Рік тому +2

      Use an elevator to flap mix. 100% elevator to 100% flap. Put it on a switch. Enable it and pull the stick when the jet has almost no vertical speed and it'll double kulbit. It's insanely cool.
