The Democratic Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Kinshasa, DR Congo, the DROC, or simply either Congo or the Congo, and historically Zaire, is a country in Central Africa. It is, by area, the largest country in sub-Saharan Africa, the second-largest in all of Africa, and the 11th-largest in the world.
I am on a mission to visit 21 countries in 2021 telling the African story the African way. So far I have done 3 countries. 18 remaining.

I saw a video where this week or last locals found a mountain full of gold. Every one was using picks and shovels trying to unearth the gold. But I realized that if they change it with the banks their Franco banks will give them Francophone rates. Wow I’m thankful for this video🙏🏾, I’m not gonna lie I’m so surprised that people thought like that of Congo or didn’t know much, Cuz this is not even half. Kinshasa the capital is one of most exciting city in the continent, & Yea There’s war but it’s mainly been in a small part of the eastern Congo which happen to be the richest part of the country n got some reason it’s the less secure, but the amount of beauties in the of the country is insane tho.

In Kinshasa we speak every languages not only French and lingala you will find people who speak swahili, kikongo and tshiluba in Kinshasa but 90% of the time you will hear French or lingala

The DRC is the richest country on Earth due to its untapped minerals meaning that if the country was properly managed Dubai would look like a ghetto next to Kinshasa.
Those who properly knows the DRC cannot be satisfy with the current state of the capital.

I'm Congolese and I can tell you that we do know how rich our country is. The truth is that what is supposed to be a blessing has turned to be a curse since the first Europeans arrived centuries ago. Non Congolese wonder why we let things happen, answer is that we're all alone against the world. Do you realize that there have been around 10 millions people massacred in the country in the last 25 years but no international media has talked about it ? That's the biggest killings since World War II. You'll see the information nowhere because all so called developped countries are part of it, even the not developped ones. Only a suicidal revolution of unarmed Congolese can bring the changes the country deserve, unfortunately even that is mission impossible. So much to talk about but...

The country has just been kept down by westerns since the independence year ( 1960) by instigating armed conflicts and all sort of troubles to prevent DRC to develop and become an African giant. Love how you opened your video using the local language. Do you have Congolese roots? Kinshasa is the largest city in Africa, population-wise. DR Congo is the richest African country (mineral-wise). The reason why it has always been at the center of the scramble of Africa. I pray for a Congo, lasting peace, and prosperity. Beautiful video.

Kinshasa is the 3rd largest city in Africa, population wise.
First is Lagos and second is Cairo.

Wikipedia 2020-2021 reports, Kinshasa is 14,950,000, Lagos is 14,862,000, and Cairo 9,908,788. While world atlas, Lagos 21, Cairo 20.4, and Kinshasa 13.3. While population data, Cairo 24, Lagos 22, and Kinshasa 12. I don’t know which is correct.
@@rang3688 Wow that's confusing. I know that Lagos has 20+ million population, so I'm shocked some say Lagos has 9+ million, which is not really true. Kin had 14+ million. So for sure some of those websites are wrong. But yeah, I'm also now confused lol.
