People of Detroit, contact your City Councillor's let's get Sean awarded the Keys of the City of Detroit for outstanding work in the community. You can do this!
Great idea and I don't live in Detroit.
Generous subscribers, you are part of this work. I have not seen the magnitude of support for any UA-cam channel. God supplies the need not only in supplies but places to work on. I still love the idea to clean up properties for moms and children.
Sean, your neighborhood has so many needs. And look at how much your channel has grown!
Your interaction with your viewers is priceless. You bring us all in to what you are doing. Simply irresistible!!
It’s actually Pontiac,MI. I live two towns over. The downtown skyline from the drone footage gave it away at the end. 😊
Actually, I was going to suggest that some of us subscribers take the initiative to write to the city of Detroit praising the work Sean is doing and the fact that he is just such a nice guy. And they should feel proud to have such an honorable and caring citizen. BUT, now someone says it’s not Detroit, but Pontiac, MI so now I don’t know where to write.
@garrywolfe4056 I wonder if that would fall within the vicinity as Sean works through various area's? It sounds like you would have more of an idea than me, I'm from across the pond in jolly olde England 🏴 🇬🇧 🤣
It is so good, so good! Blessings 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🇺🇸
Here's a story for you, which I heard over 40 years ago:
This a story about 4 people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Anybody could have done it ,but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
Thank you, Sean, for doing what Nobody did!
I like it interesting story thanks
Loved it. Been along while since read that❤
So true.
The Little Red Hen wanted to go fishing but had no boat.
"Who will help me?" she asked.
"Not I" said the duck. "Not I" said the fox. "Not I" said the pig.
So the Little Red Hen worked and worked and worked to build her boat, and she finally finished.
She took the boat to the shore, pushed it, and hopped in, ready to go fishing after all that hard work!
"You're so selfish" said the duck. "Why didn't you ask me to go with you?"
"You're a bad neighbor" said the fox. "I would be glad to fish with you, but you didn't ask me."
"You are such a bad person" said the pig. "I think you should have taken at least one of us out fishing with you."
It's universal: nobody wants to do nuffin'.
Perfect!
Getting second-hand anger on behalf of this community that the city couldn't take care of their streets. Instead let it become an unsafe space where rubbish and glass bottles (or worse) are strewn about. If you can do this is one day, imagine what a crew of city workers could've done ages ago... smh You are a trooper, glad the community appreciates you!
Just wondering, what about this community? it's their back yard, why aren't they doing anything? I watched a few videos in this awesome channel and never once did I see anyone stopping by and offering some help, maybe once someone offered a glass of water.
Update: I just saw in this video a few people offering some water and food, but someone could for example help with picking up these bottles, or anything else to assist.
I hope some people do offer help and Shawn simply prefers to do these things on his own.
If they paid someone to cut it, it would be LESS money in THEIR pockets. 😢🤬 SAME way here. 🤨
i feel the same way, town/city want to put these sidewalks in but don't bother taking care of them, i know my town and the town beside me both take care the sidewalks so people can use them and don't have to worry about anything
@@FugaziSB Hopefully now the neighborhood can easily maintain it and organize a monthly trash pickup if the party kids keep throwning out their vodka bottles 😁
@@suebaxter301 In my City the maintenance of the sidewalks is the Homeowner/ Lot Owner's responsibility. Our City Fines and Cites Owners and then if the City performs the work the City liens the property. This City must not have a robust Code Enforcement Division.
Its the power companies responsibility to take care of power lines!!!
Right. Most of them have a few crews that do just that. Why they're letting that one go, I don't understand. A little prevention would be better than having to send out a crew for restoring power.
This may be a municipal power company owned by the city and no one has reported it
Someone is getting very creative editing these videos. Great transitions, slo-mo, and drone footage. I loved transitioning between street and drone. Seeing the residents stop to thank you shows their appreciation for your hard work.
Thanks for noticing. I spend a lot of time editing.
I noticed all the small details as well, great job. Just subscribed 😊
Ditto! Love the different angles and effects. But I am wondering, how do you drive the drone, if you are alone, while you are working? Great job Sean! It is wonderful that the neighbors appreciate your work.
this man deserves a free chipper, come on big companies do your bit
Yes please! Someone sponsor him!
I guess Midlife deserved to have some sponsors, I watch a lot of them on UA-cam but Midlife does a good job, very particular in doing his job, hard working guy. He does perfection. Watching from Calgary AB Canada
Northern Tool, Stihl (?), Home Depot...these are few that could help out and get involved with Midlife. He and his family are a true blessing to this community along the surrounding area.
LMNT needs to sponsor too!
Agree with You 💯 %💪🏻

I’m in England doing the same. Love Sean and his work. Exactly what this world needs, more Sean’s and less hate and more love ❤❤
Cool
What sets Midlife apart is his blend of camera angles, altruism, and big results.
(whispering… ‘and his looks’)
What sets him apart is that he goes above and beyond on these projects. Seems like he actually cares about helping people and not just doing good deeds for the clicks and likes ❤️
@@margreetanceaux3906yes! 😍
I do love the aftershots.
Presentation: he stops and talks a lot, has not-rap music, and generally crafts his presentations in a way others do not (and the others are great guys too).
I think the city needs to give Sean a chipper for all the selfless community work he’s doing to keep their city beautiful.
My grandmother told me about people like you…..she called them Angels Unaware! Thank you for your kindness 💕
I Googled the word "determined", it showed your picture. I googled "real man", again it showed your picture. Much respect sir.
This made me smile - very kind of you to say.
He’s definitely not bad on the eyes 😊
You've become our favorite Lawn Restoration Channel. My hubby and I watch your videos together and agree your hard work is exceptional and thorough. We appreciate how you go above and beyond and pay attention to details. Your changing lives one lawn, one project at a time. Well Done! Big hugs to you from our family in Oregon!
Mine too. Sean is awesome❤❤❤❤❤
Me too 😊
mine too
I watch him to relax at the end of the day, but I always get inspired and want to go do what he does.
He is the best.. there’s only two other people that I know of that does as thorough of a job as he does on these properties.
I love how friendly and appreciative the neighbors are in that area. So many people see what you are doing and then go outside to meet you and to personally thank you.
But no one is helping. This is their home/neighborhood. People have got to stop thinking it’s ‘not my job’
@@kathymurphy7026 Excellent point.
I’m hoping by Sean doing this type of thing it sparks a sense of community within the neighborhood and they at the very least keep it up. I mean, how it was is daunting…I get that. Upkeep takes a lot less effort.
@@kathymurphy7026 That's what I mentioned to Sean several videos back. They all come out to say thanks but never offer to help. Okay ice water and snacks are offered on occasion but no one ever helps cut, trim, edge, blow, nor mow. This one lady a few videos back said 'I'm gonna go home and change clothes and come back to help you" but she never did. Not that we could see. Or he didn't record it.
@@TimberWolfeVids Yes. If the community created a neighborhood pride group, each member could do a bit to maintain the area and everyone would benefit. That way no single person would have the burden of maintaining the common use areas.
I pray the neighbors who live close to his "accomplishments" maintain those finished projects.
I cannot believe that the city allows for these properties to get so overgrown on the power lines.
Thank you for your great work!
It’s very satisfying to watch you clean these properties up!
not sure which city but Detroit can't afford to clear snow on the residential streets in the winter. it is difficult to inspect all the streets much less take care for absent owners
When you said "let's whip it" ..... the "Whip It" song came to mind (might be before you time...lol) - here's the refrain.......
Now whip it
Into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
It's not too late
To whip it
Whip it good
Sean, you are so amazing & so loved....
God Bless You 🙏 ❤
Hahaha… love that song. Good one 😊
I hear this every time he says it, too!!! Makes me giggle.
I remember that song😅
Yeah! DEVO! 👍🏻
Loved that song!
You're the star of that neighbour hood! I've never seen so much love being shown in one video! Awesome work as always
One thing that definitely makes a huge difference in your videos MS, is the very fact that so many pundits say how AWFUL race relations are in this country. You prove them wrong. I see great gratitude from all people for what you are doing, and it does not matter what race they are. THAT is more than commendable, it is a blessing. Keep it up man, you are a credit to the word blessings!
You're so right. I've never been treated better. I love my community!
Seriously, and it's Detroit, where everybody is everybody, black, white, asian, hispanic, whatever ethnicity, all living in the City trying to make it work.
If you want to do something…take the initiative to find out who is responsible for these highways and byways and then urge them to do the job so Sean doesn’t have to. It’s a big city with good people who are willing to help.😅
It's really NICE to see the community stopping by to show you some LOVE ❤ and appreciation! 🤗
Imagine how many people he saved from losing power once winter came. That's crazy!
Love your transformations, but I think the best part is the community love. I’m sure these communities feel a bit forgotten by their officials, and having just one person think they are worthy of a little help feels amazing. Hearing that woman be thankful that you cared enough to want their kids to have a sidewalk to walk to school on warmed my heart. 💜
How you don't have a million subs yet is beyond me. You are a true neighbor that Jesus talks about.
Keep telling people about it, his subscribers have really grown in the past little bit. Let's push him over 2 million!
@@kathyleicester7306 I think maybe millions of people think subscribe means you have to pay. That should be cleared up somehow. He has 9.5 million views on the one where the guy called the sops on him. If only 10% of them hit subscribe he would be over a million.
The bottles are ridiculous! In my neighborhood, there's a little walkway that connects two housing developments. I cleaned up the litter in there and found 50lbs of glass bottles, mostly vodka bottles in the bushes! I think that guy was right. People who don't want to be caught drinking stash the bottles in bushes rather than throwing them out or recycling them at home. It's a sad indicator that there are people in the area with an alcohol problem.
i agree, but there are no trashcans around either! How about some infrastructure, too?
When I was growing up, they actually had commercials about litter. Maybe they need to bring those back or teach kids how to not litter in the first grade. Nobody should be throwing things out their window or on a sidewalk. They can wait till they get home to toss it in the cart
I kind of hope that all who wanted to offer thanks, water etc might perhaps meet up with each other, now they see the video, and make a rota to keep the bottles picked up, at least. As others have said, a sad telltale thatmost of them seem to be the same small bottles of vodka - some local shop must be making a killing, surely?
Perhaps having a nicer neighbourhood feel will encourage everyine to make some changes
As far as I can tell Michigan still has bottle deposit laws. There's probably some decent change to be made turning those bottles back in.
This guy has no chill till he fixes America, May God bless you with all the joy and health.
Every time you say "lets break through this" I hear Break on Through (to the other side) by The Doors. This was another outstanding job, well done Sean. So happy seeing the community coming by and saying thank you. I hope you realize, this channel is going to get a whole lot bigger and it's well deserved.
I love your channel. I've been watching lawn care transformations for a couple years but now when I watch them I find myself holding them up to the Midlife Stockman standard. You do such beautiful work. You take care of everything, it's satisfying to watch. I've got my 90 year old Mom loving it too :) stay safe and keep doing all wonderful things you do! You're a blessing to your community.

Great job.SEAN I like the job did you do I love you channel? I don’t miss not one of them. I’m up-to-date. I anticipate the next one to come. God bless your heart.
I agree, glad I found this channel, was tired of people leaving a thck blanket of lawn clippings behind. If you havent seen them, check out TK Lawns and M&D Lawn Care, they do great work and clean up as they go along.
Yes I agree, quick cuts and flawless cleaning and blessing boys are also do all the above

@TLoumena another nice guy doing gardening is Josh's lawn services. He always tidies up
@@marindapretorius4515there’s a fellow in Australia called BladeMates. He works with their social services and helps out seniors and disabled veterans who can’t do their own yards. He weed whips, picks up trash etc.
2 things that ticks me off. 1. the town/city are responsible for these sidewalks and 2. i hate litterbugs, like wow really people. i feel that the town/city you live in/clean up should do some type of donations fund to help you out. i love watching you all the time. i am just glad people like you want to do this tedious job. God Bless You
Let alone the power company for not trimming the growth into and on the power lines
In California it is up to the owner of the lot to maintain the land, the sidewalk, and the nature strip (strip of grass between the sidewalk and curb). The power company can even impose a fine for letting your vegetation grow into the power lines. I don't know what the rules are in Michigan.
@@loretaylor1866same in Illinois , I maintain the sidewalk .

Sean u need a protective vest for that job! Smh!
40:36 "Ok... that's about all I've got. Gonna call it a day." Then proceeds to doublefist leaf blower and weedeater - kills all the residual bits that were previously buried under debris. That commitment to detail is something else, man. Thank you for your dedication.
Did you ever in your wildest dreams think from that first yard you recorded would make you a UA-cam yard hero and be so recognized?!! I've been watching each and every video and so extremely proud of who you are and your fortitude getting these sorry places looking like you do. You’re a good man, I’m so proud of the people stopping by and thanking you ..❤
Sean, you outworked and outdone yourself on this sidewalk. Those slowmo bits are pure perfection. You weren't wrong about those vines, and the outpouring of love and gratitude from the community is heartwarming to see. Hopefully, those glas bottles will find their way into the recycling system. Gen 💜🇿🇦
Wow, the city should be cleaning up around the power lines. This could cause a fire. Good job cleaning up. I hope the city sees this video. Shame on the city workers bosses.
The power company should also check their poles and lines.. I’m in Illinois and they check my area and trim the trees often ( commonwealth Edison Co. )
It is the electric company’s responsibility. However, those aren’t actually power lines, just guy wires to keep the pole vertical. No real fire risk.
So any people just ignore the trash. It really bothers me. The fact that you take the time to pick it all up really makes me happy. Thank you so much. I’m going to follow you. ❤
I enjoy hearing your commentary and hearing the people that come over to thank you. What I enjoy more is that you stop your work even when you are tired to listen to people and even accept handshakes and hugs. Shows you are people-oriented and not task-oriented.
May you keep finding God's blessing overflow.
Making Detroit Beautiful...one sidewalk at a time. Cleaning these up has a huge impact on the neighborhood. Community pride, walkability, safety, you've given all that back on top of all your hard work.
It’s Pontiac, MI, not Detroit.
I wonder if the city/town you are in would give you the mulcher you are looking for (new or gently used) in appreciation for cleaning up neighborhoods for free and in support of your work.
You have detailed videos and many people you have helped as a documentation for your work. 😊
Thank you for making an impact on the lives of others!
Doubtful. These are mostly in Pontiac MI from what I can tell. The city is damn near bankrupt. Their fire department is run by the next town over and their police department has been dissolved and is now covered by the county sheriff. I’d be surprised if their DPW is in any better shape.
That’s what happens when the major employer in the area pulls out in favor of outsourcing. So much of GM was based in Pontiac…now all gone.
@@TimberWolfeVids that's just sad - no wonder it needs Sean's sunshine to give everyone a boost .

Amazing that you find this mess. The city should be giving you an award for all your hard and excellent work!

I think what sets him apart is his voice, how he interacts, he's very handsome and looks very educated to be doing this. The others just don't have what he does.
The others don't use what they have in this skilled way, that's for sure.
Somebody owns that property how can they get away with so much neglect. You do more than show love for your community you show love for all humanity
i learn watching many of his videos and others like him, there are reason why there is such overgrowth. either no one lives in that area or past away or the person is dealing with some health issues, however, this doesn't give the town/city and excuse not to take care of the sidewalk area
Wow another huge overgrowth. Good job. What gets me is that all these people stop with lots of well earned praises. But did anyone think to make a neighborhood cleanup instead wait for a free cleanup. Neighborhoods always do this---it's nuts.
These people pay taxes to the city for this stuff. Apparently, they are paying taxes for nothing! And did you see how dangerous the overhanging tree is on the power lines? People are paying for this too on top of their electricity cost. You expect them to do that too? Where are the electric company as well as the city?
It also takes the right equipment to do the job. Most folks don't have that. Thank you MS for all you do.
Your family and all who support you deserve accolades. helping without asking for a return is actually getting the biggest return that money will never buy.. Respect.🤩
Section by section, every little piece of that street gets done and gives the neighborhood back community pride.
Sean, you always do a great job…with a smile on your face! It’s amazing how many people stop to thank you for caring. Pretty soon you are going to have to bring a table so that you will have a place to meet and greet and sign your autograph! But seriously, you are a blessing and I pray God will be with you always. Love, love, love your videos.
You go above and beyond, like cleaning the sewer drain in the road so properties aren’t flooded/damaged when the rains come!! A real community hero!! Congratulations!!
In my state the power company is responsible for trimming trees near the power lines. Who is responsible where you live? Fantastic job as always, Sean!
Not only is this city failing its community but the power company doesn't bother to protect its assets. They should keep everything away from those wires.
Love when you clean sidewalks so the whole neighborhood can enjoy walking.❤

The love from the neighborhood is real! 🇨🇦❤️
My friend, you're getting attention all over the internet, and even in other states by your fellow lawncare workers and companies. Sounds like a blowup to me. Your work is always the highest quality.
Your work ethic is so refreshing.... Something rarely seen these days.
You have definitely found the most grateful community I have ever seen on these type videos. I'm really happy that they embrace you and let you know how appreciated your hard work is to them!
