This COMMUNITY GARDEN was CUT OFF from NEIGHBORHOOD so I fixed that

- I'm so excited to share this weeks video with you all. This community garden was in desperate need of some help - especially since there was no safe access! The sidewalks were completely overgrown and covered - so I spent 16 hours there and got them usable again. I was so so thankful to have met some great people and also be invited to their growing party in a few weeks.
Love the community I live in and so thankful I get to do this work!

Our first home was in a poorer neighborhood. The first spring my husband went out and swept the gutter and street in front of our house. Soon all the neighbors were out doing the same.😊 I was planting my garden spaces and offered neighbors plants I was thinning. Soon our whole block was lifted to a space filled with friendship and beauty! All it takes is someone to start!❤
That's beautiful! ❤
Well done! You're an inspiration. I suppose people want to clean up but feel overwhelmed by the sheer size of the task. You made the start!
This!🔝🔝🔝
All it takes is one person to get things started in the right direction.
We just moved I to a poorer neighborhood and people started seeing us clean and mow and now they are doing it too. They told our next door neighbor we had the nicest places in the area. So glad they are following suit
A company needs to sponsor a wood chipper for you. You can return all the mulch back into the trees. Save you some money. And maybe even provide some mulch for the community gardens at the same time. Come on corporate America. This man needs some equipment.
That's a great idea! Also, putting piles of dead wood into the forested area increases the risk of brush fires, so having a wood chipper to mulch the trees would be better on several fronts. Hopefully some manufacturer or seller sees this and steps up.
What a terrific idea
@@AdamBragg dead wood is also good for biodiversity, insects and small animals live in it...
@@fjklfdasdf You are correct, but as with many things, it is only good in moderation. Typically, these channels show large amounts of dead wood being removed from the cleaned up area. If all that wood is being "relocated" (ie. dumped) into a single location, then the risk of it starting a fire becomes greater than the benefit.
I was thinking the same. All the makings of fabulous compost is being cut in this video!!
One of the very best! Very challenging sidewalk, Starbucks visit from your daughter, dumped trash and a shed, a big cooler packed by your wife with lots of cold water, snacks, and a sandwich, and help for an entire community in accessing and caring for their community garden. And you do it all with a smile, gratitude for little things, and humbleness. Total respect!
My 7-year-old grandson and I were watching this and we were talking about how it's awesome that you donate your time and hard work to make this better for your community. And he said that you did a really good job and that you need to go home wash your hands and have some dessert!!
And a glass of wine while you soak your feet!
Excelente trabalho que você realizou, foi bem puxado mesmo 👏👏👏👏 uma boa ENXADA ferramenta muito conhecida aqui no Brasil 🇧🇷 te ajudaria bastante nesse serviço que você fez com a PÁ 👍

@@mrlopes8710 Yes he is too tall and has to bend over too far. His back will suffer greatly.
It surprises me that these are city sidewalks left to be neglected to the point they’re unusable , seems like poor city management .
Nah, I live in Michigan and I doesn't surprise me at all.😮
Exactly! Where are the tax dollars going?
I agree, I'm in SE WI and i don't see sidewalks in this shape in my city at all.
This is Metro Detroit. The population has been constant for 50+ years, but the size of the metro has grown (doubled in area? I don't have exact figures). The city in this video is one that has emptied out in favor of outlying areas, losing tax revenue in the process. Pretty typical of Midwestern cities, a fairly constant population migrating outwards, leaving older cities to fend for themselves. Metro Detroit has some older suburbs that have flourished. I happen to live next to one. This one needs help, and I'm glad to see it happening.
Amazing work! Well done 👍
I view a lot of the mowing channels. You by far are the hardest working man. You go beyond what is expected. That’s why I watch your channel all the time. Stay healthy and don’t over work yourself. I want to continue seeing your videos. Another 5 ⭐️job. Thank you
Thanks so so much!
Totally agreed!
Maybe some gardeners could pitch in for future maintenance. Great job!
Awww what A SWEETHEART of a daughter to think of Dad..give her a big hug 🤗 Dad
Should have called this one "A Nightmare on Elm Street"
What amazes me is people think it’s OK if there’s an open field to throw their trash, this makes me so angry. Thank you for everything you for your community. You’re a blessing from God.❤❤❤❤
Your heartfelt blessing for the community was a job well done. And I'm sure well appreciated too❤
They don’t care they’ll throw it in your yard.
Me too!
As sb from Europe, I assume special kind of trash costs money to get rid of. That's why they throw it on others property. There's a reason for it!
@@marie_84Yes. The reason is that they are lazy slobs.
I appeal to snapper,Troy or any mower makers to sponsor this guy with a new mower,he does great work
Great job Stockman!!! Thanks for being the Caretaker in Chief for your community!!!!❤❤❤❤❤👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
It’s a shame you have to clean up after others that were too lazy to dispose of properly. Thanks for helping the community!
Don’t know what town you’re in,but they should give you a citizen of the year award. Amazing job!!
Yes!!! 🙌🏽
Key to the city 🏙️
My thought exactly
I agree!!!
He should be recognized by the city/county boards for his efforts in cleaning up his community!!!
You should wear a mask with all the dust you encounter, we want you safe and well! ❤
And a safety vest?
I was thinking the same thing @ mask.
A mask will inhibit oxygen unless it’s a respirator. Please don’t give out medical advice.
You're alright. The right man, in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. Great job 👏🏾
I watch a few lawn transformation channels, but you set the bar so high that I feel disappointed when others don't do half the things you do. You are an extremely hard-working person! Keep it up!!
All I can say is Thank You for making this world look a little bit nicer. Thank you for cleaning up the trash at the community garden. Thank you and God Bless you in all you do!
This kind of work is never about money or knowledge or technology. This is about resolve and you have it in spades (pun intended). Thank you. 👍😇
Love how you really get the junk off the lot and just don’t mow around it
Holy overgrowth, Batman! This was a huge undertaking. Major props for doing such an amazing job. You have some great kids, there. So nice to bring Dad some liquid energy. So awesome that the garden folks invited you to their party. Well deserved!
It was such a great weekend. Very thankful.
Amazing job! The city should present you with an award for doing great community work. 💚
Email the gov. Office ...I did and I don't live in Michigan, but love his work on BLIT THAT TAKES AWAY THE THE NEIBORHOOD...THAK YOU IT IS SO NICE NOW
Mad respect for finding and clearing accessible ramps for the disabled, plus same for sidewalks!
You’re a good man. 💙💙💙💙💙
ADA ramps are Federally mandated and are the responsibility of the city, county, or state depending on ownership. There should be no standing or pooling of storm water in front of them. Thanks for doing the city’s responsibility for them.
@@deborahgallagher-vu5hl yes, it’s amazing how many are “discovered” by the wonderful guys who do free work like this! I’ve seen it time and again! So much for city doing upkeep.
That was an incredible amount of work you did thank you
Ohh that's what those are! Ashamed to say I kept trying to figure out why there where driveways leading to nothing 😔.
I learned something today, thanks!!
I usually get bored about half way through, watching other guys clean up property, but you are different, you talk to us as you work, it makes it seem like we are all in this thing together, Thanks!❤😊
Yes!! I love that!!
Super sweet of your daughters to bring you some refreshment. Spectacular job, as always!
The world needs more Midlife's..😊
Amen to that!!
That was back breaking, laborious work, but the desire in your heart to help others was stronger than your physical discomfort. “The force is strong in you young midlife “. Seriously though, what you did here for this community was incredible. Bravo 👏🏻 👏🏻
All that shoveling! My back was sore from just watching! He is a tuff hombre!
Ok where do I start? You are amazing. Your daughter is pretty amazing too ❤️ anyone who lives in Sean’s neck of the state..please nominate him for citizen of the year. What he’s doing for your community and neighborhoods is to be recognized and acknowledged. Spending time making a difference and not to mention time away from his family (I assume it’s on the weekends) should be greatly appreciated. I loved this one hour long video. That is some backbreaking work. Clearing away dirt, grass and garbage for kids and anyone who wants to use the sidewalks is really making it better and safe. Let’s buy him a $coffee or 2..or 5 and help Sean get a better and more efficient lawnmower. As Sean says “let’s do this”! God bless you Sean & Keep you safe and healthy. Admirer from SC 🇺🇸👍🏼
“IT TAKES A VILLAGE” is not just a saying and YOUR help with this community garden seemed to bring out the best with that community! Good job!
Man, you are the cat’s meow, the bee’s knees! I never saw so much dirt on one sidewalk- enough to start your own farm! Seriously, thank you for that backbreaking work!!❤️
You don’t need a “like” but an award for this!
Another super, fabulous, amazing job! People are so rude leaving bags of trash near a community garden. Glad you got it all cleaned up and looking good 👍
THAT TOOL WILL SAVE YOU SO MUCH OF YOUR BACK AND SHOULDERS IN THE LONG RUN. I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU GOT IT BROTHER 👍!!!
Good Job Watching from the Philippines ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You truly transformed that corner, Sean. And cleaning up the garden will surely uplift the people who will be using it. Ripples, Sean, ripples.
I want to thank your wife for taking care of you keeping you fed and hydrated and you keep taking care of you so we can continue with the great content stay blessed you and yours ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
You are a gift to your city. I can’t believe all that you endured clearing the sidewalks. And then you cleaned the garden up. It’s so sad that people feel that they can just dump their trash any place they please.
When nature takes back it's time to fight back with hard backbreaking work and well worth it. A community can now once again bring fresh food back to their tables. What a gift. Kat
I hope the boys & girls, men & women in that community paid attention to what happens when you work hard. It always pays off!! Yes, the city should’ve, could’ve, would’ve but they didn’t so that’s when we have to make a difference. TY for paving the way. You never know who was paying attention!!

Thank you for the continued support!! I so appreciate it.
Dude I am from the area! I swear if I see you working… I will stop and volunteer my time to help you out. Good work!
I love that you blow all the clippings back into the grassy areas, instead of leaving it on the road, as I've seen many inconsiderate people doing. Grass clippings on the road are a serious hazard for motorcyclists, as it can cause their tires to lose traction and slip out from under them, causing a crash. Good on you for being thoughtful and considerate.
"BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD." Thank you for being who you are, and for doing what you do!
All I can say is, " Duuuude! You are a savage!" You do not just tackle a hideously hard job. You wrestle it to the ground and put it in restraints. Much respect.

Agreed!!
You are very generous at heart to do this work. You are keeping America clean for all of us.
I love his work. I watch the videos in bed at night to relax a little and forget the stress of the day.
It's so gross how people feel the need to dump their trash wherever they feel like rather than dispose of it appropriately.
Good to see someone step up and do the right thing seeing as others can't 👍
I don't understand why the people don't complain to the City or County and why they let it get in such bad shape anyway.(city & county). That was a very big job. God Bless
Love the idea of a community garden, ppl coming together to grow and bond, this is what God had in mind for his ppl,and you are a blessing, love the work you do❤😂
I did Landscape/lawn maintenance for 10 years until I trashed my back. Only us who does it understands the satisfaction after all the work, stand back and look at the art we just created.your inspiring, rob

Thank you so so much!!! Wow
As always, an inspiration. Thanks for not hauling away compostables to a landfill (and paying per pound for the privilege).
"If a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it, it rots and feeds the next generation of trees."
It makes me so angry when people leave their rubbish for someone else to dispose of it.
Brilliant job, keep up the good work.
Dang! This went from an overgrown "Keep Out" area to a nice "Welcome to the Garden" area. Really nice someone has put up a 'Little Library' there also. People are making an effort in their own community. Sweet !
That city owes you $$$THOUSANDS$$$ for cleaning up that jungle. The before and after is Jaw Dropping!! 😳😳😳
What a Fantastic job you’ve done! Trust, MANY blessings are coming your way.
I've never been to Michigan in my entire life (84 years and counting) but you've made me so happy with this cleanup job! Well done Mr. Stockman. By the way, beautiful daughter.
You are a good man! Your kindness and labor of love toward people is to be commended and appreciated . The neighborhood garden will look so much better .
انت إنسان مخلص في عملك تعمل من قلبك😊
Wow! You really put your all into this one. You have limitless energy! What a wonderful service. Now the community can use the sidewalk and access the garden. Bravo! 💚💚
Elephant in the room here. Where's the city's workers? I'm talking taxes! I'm from Delaware and thankfully residents here just have to call who's responsible. I am impressed with the quality of yard work you do, for free. Young man, keep whipping and you'll reach 100 thousand in no time!
🧡💚💛
I can’t believe he doesn’t have more. This man is a godsend!
You're right. Sidewalks are city property. As for his subscribers, he has a lot of YT competition from people who clean up private properties for free.
In some cities, keeping the sidewalk clear falls on the property owner. It's not clear if the city owns that property, or if it's some 3rd party. It appears that at one time there may have been a home on that lot since there is apparently a driveway apron. If there is a 3rd party owner, it's clear that they've abandoned the property. BUT, in any case, the city should still be responsible at the end of the day, either finding the property owner and compelling them to maintain the property or biting the bullet and at LEAST clear the sidewalk.
I think he is in the Detroit area, that city has had tough times
Bigger Elephant - if these people consider themselves a "community" and they're all gardeners, then why can't THEY VOLUNTEER their time to spruce up the property. Disgusting that everybody thinks 'they" should do something about it meaning the government, but nobody wants to pay taxes for it. Do you think city workers are manna from heaven? It's high time "communities" do their own work.
Thank you for being YOU!! You are very meticulous and your work is so amazing. Of all the lawn care/clean up people YOU are the best. It amazes me that the city does NOT keep this cleaned up and not allowing it to get so out of hand. They should hire you for constant care. Not sure where this is, but that city owes you BIG TIME.
Once again, thank you for what you do.
WI Resident here. ❤
After watching all the work this man did for his neighborhood, I think he deserves a reward of some sort. I'm sure the neighborhood appreciates the new look and the city is failing miserably at their job.
Is no one going to talk about the fact that he's working on Elm Street? I hope Freddy is appreciative of your work! Really though, awesome job!
I love what you do- I firmly believe neighborhood cleanups help society, increasing the sense of community. I’ve even seen a study suggesting it can reduce crime in some cases. Great work!!
You definitely don't need a gym membership!! You always go above and beyond with these makeovers that looks like another area that's been neglected for a long time the city should be ashamed, people pay their taxes but it takes someone with a massive heart to put things right. Amazing job💕
Watching you with those edges made MY arms hurt!! Excellent, beautiful transformation!! God bless you and your family, and all you do for your community!!
Thanks!! I was so happy about this one.
Your a MAVERICK amongst Men... Your always going that extra mile and getting things done with a passion unlike any other that I've seen on UA-cam... I commend your work ethics.. Never ever change who you are..A Man with a plan, and it's quite evident a heart of gold....May God bless you and yours, always ..🙏🙏🙏
Unbelievable difference! You are one of a kind, sir. Just REMARKABLE! It says a lot about you, as a father, when your kid loves you enough to show up ...unselfishly... to bring you refreshments. ❤😊
I just love that you helped out a community garden center and access into it and all the sidewalks!!
Even more amazing is you giving up your weekends to do all this! AMAZING
I’ve never seen anyone that is as positive as you are. You’re working so darned hard and you’re still positive and smiling. God bless you! ❤❤
Midlife Stockman, another community clear of well overgrown trees, tall grass and a completely lost pavement. You are indeed a fine man, knowing how much you do is amazing. Thank you, it’s hard work but keeps you fit, lol! God Bless and keep you, from Rosie aka Ollie, Australia 🇦🇺 ❤🙏🙏👏👍🤗
I appreciate you being here.
That looked like a nightmare on elm street
Nice one!😃
That’s my next video!!
Those arial shots are incredible.
Bless your heart man I’m a few minutes into your video. My back hurts already. I am a super huge community gardener and this made my heart bigger.
From what I see in the background, you could spend a solid week or two just clearing up that entire area around there. I love seeing your videos and how hard you work just to make the community a better place.
There are men that go to the gym to get in shape, and think that makes them sexy. No, that shows their narcissism. There are men that get in shape actually working, either for pay or to give back to their community like you do. That is what is sexy. Your selfless commitment to your community is what makes you a man a woman would chose over a bear! You are amazing. (Not hitting on you- you are the age of my kids. Just telling it like it is.)
Just thought I'd let you know that you've become my Monday morning coffee routine....thank you!
Shame on the city for not doing their job and kudos to you for your charitable work that hopefully pays of tenfold with all the views. ❤

Midlife Stockman: I really enjoy the Drone Effect and the little unexpected kwips while you work plus the fact that you show how exhausted you become during the job but keep on working anyway. I like that you do care about others' need for comfort and esthetic beauty in their neighborhoods. Keep it all up and give us more videos.
