Hi Robert, when investing long term with etoro, the costs are actually quiet okay. The highest fees are when you convert from your currency to dollars and overnight fees (if you leverage). But other fees, don't make a big impact on your profits if you invest in long term. You actually barely have any fees on non leveraged stocks & ETFs, more info on etoro: punchsalad.com/lp/etoro . Hi Victor, indeed you pay the tax for the dividends, more info here: www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/75781345/does-etoro-pay-dividends/ and I agree it's a lot especially for US.
oh ok. Not sure what happens to your money if it's below the minimum withdrawal limit (even if you close the account). You would have to ask Etoro support about that.
this is wrong. If you check it yourself you see that the actual fee which they apply is 150 PIPs for deposit and 150 PIPs for withrawal. so in total they deduce %4 for deposit and withrawal
Not sure what part of this is wrong? As I mention in the video these depend on your currency & deposit method, eur & gpd are still 50pips (deposit & withdrawal). www.etoro.com/trading/fees/#others I do agree they have changed some of the fees for some other currencies.
Thanks for the video, great! What is the cheapest way to convert my euros to dollars for Etoro? I thought of the following option, but was wondering what you think. 1: Using revolut to swap euro to gbp and then transfer it to Etoro (Etoro then swaps to dollars at 50pips istead of 150 pips). With this option, is it also possible to withdraw money from Etoro to Revolut in dollars or euros? 2: Do you have another cheaper or more convenient way to circumvent their very high conversion cost? Wiretransfers via my bank also cost €6 per transfer.
Hi David, I've heard of the revolut method and I think it works, and I have a link to a video in the description of this video that explains the process, but I haven't actually done it myself. I just do it with a wire transfer from euros to dollars, so it's the 50pips, which I'm okay to pay to avoid the hassle.

Unfortunately the video is not there anymore (wasn't mine), basically it used revolut to top up etoro account. I haven't tried that myself, but it seem to work for some.
as far as I know etoro doesn't do anything about taxes, so it really depends on your countries taxes. In my country, I need to pay taxes on the profit. They are classified as earnings from investments. I hope this helps :)

Hi Ibrahim, if it's a CFD there is a spread fee (it's already included in the price you see when you close the trade). Other than that no fees specifically when closing the trade
This video was funny and helpful. You gotta like from me!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Im into US stocks paying cash dividends. I see they deduct 30% from dividends. Are these taxes or fees? Any idea if other online brokerage deduct 30% from dividend income?
Hi Victor, indeed you pay the tax for the dividends, more info here: www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/75781345/does-etoro-pay-dividends/ and I agree it's a lot especially for US.
Can you withdraw your minimum deposit if you wanted to close your account
yeah should be possible. Why are you concerned about that?
@@regularrobert-eu just recently set up an account and was just wondering how it works, currently can only withdraw anything above the minimum deposit
As I mention in the video these depend on your currency & deposit method, eur & gpd are still 50pips (deposit & withdrawal). www.etoro.com/trading/fees/#others
I do agree they have changed some of the fees for some other currencies.
Hi David,
I've heard of the revolut method and I think it works, and I have a link to a video in the description of this video that explains the process, but I haven't actually done it myself.
I just do it with a wire transfer from euros to dollars, so it's the 50pips, which I'm okay to pay to avoid the hassle.
Where is the video on how to get money in dollars on etoro? No video in the top right corner
Hi Anna, unfortunately that video wasn't mine. And who ever created the video deleted the video so it's not there any more. But people are disccusing the same here: www.reddit.com/r/Etoro/comments/gn8esz/can_you_deposit_usd_from_revolut_to_etoro/
Basically you would use an app called revolut.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Boss, I am from Bangladesh .please give me some advice about W-8BEN. I
want to buy U.S stocks by leverage X1.when i want to buy X1 leverage
they show me "Trading Real stocks/ETFS require you to sign a form
W-8ben.
Sorry Asharaful, I'm not an expert in US tax stuff. But I also signed the W-8BEN, and I did right in etoro platform (or maybe it was a PDF that they provided). More discussion about this on reddit: www.reddit.com/r/investing/comments/eehege/tax_question_about_etoro_for_nonus_persons/
If you can't find it, then just reach out to Etoro support (they usually answer within 2-4 days)
@@regularrobert-eu Thanks brother
if you deposit USD dollars they don't charge you conversion fee right?
I haven't tried, but I sure hope not. Because it would be the weirdest fee.
You forgot to mention the 30% capital gains tax that needs to be paid on any profits. You'd need to be investing a lot of money to see any sort of decent return.
true story! However that applies to all platforms so I didn't include it. and also in depends where you live. Some have higher, some have lower taxes :/
@@regularrobert-eu I don't think it applies on trading 212 though. Or at least they don't deduct it themselves anyway.
I see your point Dave! Knowing the tax authorities, we'll probably have to pay the taxes one way or the other anyway 😀
Good work except the gif and video clips are distraction. Please avoid; you're good at your own and you don't need help from these short videos.
thanks for encouragement and for the tip! 🙌
How about taxes from eToro if you got a day job
I'm not a tax expert. But it really depends on your country. But from what I know Etoro doesn't withold any taxes, that's up to you to report.
Can you help me with the link from 03:30 ?
Unfortunately the video is not there anymore (wasn't mine), basically it used revolut to top up etoro account. I haven't tried that myself, but it seem to work for some.
How about taxes? How do taxes work on etoro?
as far as I know etoro doesn't do anything about taxes, so it really depends on your countries taxes. In my country, I need to pay taxes on the profit. They are classified as earnings from investments. I hope this helps :)
So as long as I only buy normal stock / partial stock without leverage my fees should be low(ish)?
yeah pretty much. Especially if you can avoid the conversion fees as much as possible (so 50pips)
Side Streams arright. Thanks man!
Are you sure about EU Pips? What I see now is on deposit 150 Pips and withdrawal 50 Pips total 200 Pips.
thanks for pointing out this, they have updated their fees again. But for wiretransfer it's still 50pips for both deposit & withdrawal: www.etoro.com/trading/fees/#others
Great to know! Thank you 🙏 for explanation
Glad it was helpful Paeng!
Very good video
Thanks Abdul! I'm glad you like it!
02:11 1000 * 1,3244 = 1205 ???
good spot, I made a mistake in the presentation
Hi anyone who can tell me .How can i change my telephone number on Etoro?
You need to open a case with etoro, here is more info: www.etoro.com/en-us/customer-service/help/1184410052/how-can-i-change-my-account-details/#:~:text=In%20order%20to%20make%20changes,and%20ask%20some%20security%20questions.
But your acting like 0.09 dollars is a lot of money when tis really not. Using leverage im making around 100 dollars every day.
no 0.09 is not a lot for few trades. (btw it also depends how much you buy).
The thing is that some other platforms have 0 spread fees. Personally I'm happy with etoro.
And i'm adding money to my account there :)
oh and congrats on the $100 per day!
Imagine a millionaire dying and etoro just taking $10 a week for eternity due to inactivity.
lol :D yeah, would take pretty long to get that account empty 😅
Great info!
Glad it was helpful Lukael!
LOL LOL LOL THAT WAS CLASSIC!!1 LOVE IT!!!
I'm glad you liked it buddy!
Apakah Ini Menghasil Kan Uang kak?
if you invest correctly, yes :)
appreciated the s1mple joke hahaha
haha, glad you got it Tom! :D I think you are only 2nd person to comment on it, so I'm still 3 people short of my prediction 😅
But the spread on stocks is high
Hi Drew, if you just buy stocks un-leveraged then there are no spread fees. But yes, in general, etoro fees are pretty high (although they have reduced them from 2019). But you do get a super easy interface and the copy trading option.
Loved that s1mple reference!
haha, okay good to hear that. Wasn't sure how many would get it :)
Ur the guy
thanks! :)
EToro Spread fees cost more, do the math. It really sucks.
more than 0.09%?
Thank you...
You're welcome Daniel!
ma nigga ma nigga!! great video
Thanks 😊
zlatan in voice
haha, something like that! 😂
I put 30,000$ in my account
