@@GYEON_official thanks for your videos , I’ve learnt a lot from you and Pan and other UA-camrs like forensics , apex etc, I’ll be trying out the gyeon wet coat as I bought that last week and looking to try lots more gyeon products , South Korea have some really great auto detailing suppliers like Gyeon obviously, carpro and tac systems , keep bringing out more great products and keep up the good work thanks
Great video Yves. That was a really good tip on the soft detailing brushes which are touted as the best way to clean your interior. I have a vehicle with the Piano black trim and I had no idea it would do that. Also on the exterior (not using the brushes out there either) was a great tip and I know for a fact you are right on that one. I have very soft paint on my car and if you even blink wrong...it scratches or micro mars. I used one of those horsehair brushes which was touted as "soft" and it scratched the hell out of my rear deck lid. At first I couldn't figure out where all the scratches came from....it was the soft horsehair detailing brush. Also liked the tip about protecting your door edge trim with a silk dryer. You are absolutely correct on that tip. That door edge can scratch so fast. I have made that mistake before. Really good tips. I enjoy all your videos. Very well thought out and presented. Thanks for taking the time to present them. 👍
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I might have “disappointed” many brush fans but looking professional without serving the right purpose is something what I don’t like. Regards, Y.
I’m guilty of using brushes in & outside of the car. Guess they’re all going in the rubbish now. Great tip. I always learn something new when I watch your videos.
wow, Im blown away with the soft bristle brush, always been thought that I wasnt causing any scratches by using it on interiors and around emblems on the outside.
I probably will upset a lot of people including professionals who use it all the time but looking pro doesn’t always serve the right purpose. Regards, Y.
@@EnWorks you propably know it already but you can wrap your microfibre towel around a credit card (or some card that you dont care about) and work it in all the gaps.
Supergrote fan van deze serie! Ik werk enorm graag met gyeon, tof om de producten nog beter te leren kennen, de juiste manier van werken, en tips en tricks op te vangen. Love it!
I have been a huge fan of Gyeon Quartz for years. Here i am never watching this videos and doing so many things incorrectly. Thank you YVES for showing me the way.
Lubrification inside the interior on piano black trim for removing dust, I don’t get the point. . Even on the outside the surfact contact area of a brush is always less efficient then microfibre , where the nature of microfibre is to grab and hold. So more effective and less issues. In engine bays and on hard structured plastic it makes sense but then a stiffer brush type would be a better choice. Regards, Y.
Thank You. Great tips for a better result. My tip...Make sure your Vacuum Crevice tool attachment is NOT sharp or is roughed up on the end. Inspect often.
First question: is it real leather? If so, use Gyeon leather cleaner (it comes in a kit with a brush and a foam pump sprayer), agitate with our leather brush and wipe off with light coloured microfibres to have a good visual of what is coming off. Always do a section at the time and repeat if needed but it’s important to know if your seats are leather and not synthetic leather. Regards, Y.
I like to make my own tool with a sponge to clean and a microfibre to wipe afterwards. Brushes only move dust, they don’t remove it nor do they work efficiently. Regards, Y.
Dear Yves- thanks for your always interesting videos. Just wondering I am using a DF soft brush during the prefoam to clean the crevices on the front air dam of my 2021 GTD as well as between the letters GTD in the rear and in the crevices of the door sills - I figured that the foam should have enough lubrificati on so not to scratch but was I wrong? I also use a boar’s hair brush when I foam my black glossy wheels- is this a mistake as well? Thanks Aimone Castellacci
Hi, thanks for watching and the kind words. For me brushes are in these cases not the right choice, first of all, the cleaning efficiency is very low and secondly they will scratch the paint. On plastic vents and plastic parts in engine bays it can be handy and not harmful. Regards, Y.
They are usefull in engine bays, on plastics, metal parts etc but on paint and piano black trim you will have to chase the defects you made by yourself. Regards, Y.
Up to you to decide but it’s not because many do it that it is the right way. I guess looking professional is more important then being effective and un harmful? Regards, Y.
Steam will not scratch but moisture getting into electronics can be tricky as well. All depends on how and where you use steam. On very dirty interiors it can be a great help. Regards, Y.
I wouldn’t recommend that either. Most glass towels have edge stitching and are made from a more “rough” short fibre type for better glass cleaning. On super sensative piano black parts this is a tricky choice. Regards, Y.
And how do you clean your door panel without a soft brush? How do You get inside the texture of the door panel. If You are using apc how do You clean your door, without a soft brush?
Wow this dude realy knows his stuff it's like a master class in car detailing
That's where the scratches come from 😂
I never knew a "super soft brush" would give you these scratches.
Thanks for this video!
Everything scratches everything in car detailing 🤣
Would have been nice to show us with the light before if the scratches was already there in the first place
They were not believe me.

Amazing. I was using a detail brush thinking it was safe when it’s soft and clean on the center console and navigation screen. 🤯
yeah cheers chrisfix!
It is safe - as long as you use proper lubrication

how do I get the shine of my 30+ years old leather and give it the matt finish again? It is way to shiney now and can't get it off.

i no longer spray everywhere and wipe i spray the cloth. biggest mistake getting APC ot he windscreen now i have an etched mark i cant remove
you can still use the soft brush on plastics or leather parts of the interior right ? just don’t get that near black piano trims
That’s what I suggest and I don’t use it on or near paint as well, especially not on well maintained or new cars.

Y.
Hey Y~ have you got any advice for cleaning the A/C vents? e,g, micro fibre or still carry on with soft brush?
thanks a lot in advance

Good to know about the brush. But what will you advice for some spots that are almost impossible to hit with a microfiber towel?
Depends what part and where. On plastics brushes are great but they are to often used to impress and look pro and not to do a proper job.

Y.
@@GYEON_official for an example between the rear window and the paintwork.
is the Gyeon BaldWipe ok to wipe the black piano trims with the Gyeon Interior Detailer ? to not leave any lint behind
Yes it is but I would rather recommend the PolishWipe towel and use the short pile side of that one. It’s a bit denser and absorbs more.

Y.
@@GYEON_official GREAT, that's exactly what I have in my cart to order, thank you very much!

hello, great video. What u think about steam cleaner instead of brush? Its good idea?
Steam will not scratch but moisture getting into electronics can be tricky as well. All depends on how and where you use steam. On very dirty interiors it can be a great help.

Which vacuum cleaner do you use?
In the video I used a FLEX.

Microfiber
Is your door panel made from piano black plastic 🙄
I put the hose of the vacuum between my legs 😄
If that doesn’t give you cramps or limits you moving around, fine for me. 😁

Or You are refering only on delicate surfaces such as piano black
Exactly!
