Hi Y. @gyeon, is it normal for this wax to require multiple wipe downs after the 30 minutes cure time? I noticed my paint seemed a bit hazy after the initial wipe down with Polish Wipe and I had to do two additional wipe downs with Soft Wipe. Does this mean I used too much product during application? Thanks. Once everything finally wiped down, the black paint definitely looked much deeper and more glossy 👍🏼 incredible product.
Hi, this can happen, it’s called sweating. I have not experienced it yet on my applications but it is also very clearcoat depending. Nothing to worry about, you just need an extra wipe down but it will not affect the performance. Regards, Y.

I wouldn’t make it to complicated if I were you. Let CanCoat do it’s job during winter, it’s very durable and will for sure last through one Winter. After that period I suggest to do a thorough decontamination of your paintwork and then it’s a good moment to add the Wax on top. Regards, Y.

Hi Guys, I have spent a fantastic afternoon polishing and waxing my Alpha Romeo Giulia Veloce. The Gyeon wax is so easy to apply and remove, leaving my car with a dripping wet appearance. I’m just wondering do I need to use Gyeon Prep before applying a fresh coat of wax when the wax begins to fail ?
Hi Craig, Great car choice, I love the Giulia! There is no need to use Q²M Prep for adding another layer of Q²M Wax but I would suggest to do a good chemical decon in the first place. You don’t want it to bond on top of contamination. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official thank you so much for the quick response I really appreciate it. I am very blessed to have the Giulia especially now it looks so beautiful thanks to Gyeon Wax 😜
You mean how often to Wax your car? Well there are many variables so it’s really hard to answer that question in a short notice but with good maintenance every 4 months should be very satisfying. Regards, Y.
Should I apply a second layer? will it stick better if left over night? and will it work with Gyeon ceramic detailer already on the paint? Thanks in advance for responding to my annoying questions!
You can apply a second layer bit it’s not a must. Regarding whatever kind of protection you are choosing, a clean surface free of contamination and other products is the base for a good performance. Regards, Y.
Hi Yves, love your videos. I recently got my car done with Gyeon Duraflex. Just for extra protection, should I apply Gyeon Wax over my duraflex? My detailer told me to maintain duraflex with Gyeon cure. However, he said the Gyeon is the 2021 product so I am better ask you rather than anyone else:)
Hi, thanks for your comment. Q2M Cure and Q2 Wax are 2 different products that serve different purposes. As a maintenance product after your wash, Q2M Cure still is great. If you want to put a bit more effort in Q2 Wax will rock but when it’s recently done I would stick to Q2M Cure for a while. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official Thanks for the reply, you always reply promptly:) My concern is I have 2 little sons and they love to play around the car, it leaves some nail scratches at the end of the day. For the purpose of "repairing" my duraflex coat instead of maintaining it, I believe you would recommend Gyeon Wax over Cure correct? And one more thing to confirm, my detailer told me my Gyeon Duraflex will last for around 5years, would the Gyeon Wax "eat up" a little bit of the durable of Gyeon Duraflex Coating? Thanks again! I hope you have a very next Xmas and a happy new year!
Hi, maintenance is crucial and Q2Wax will not “eat up” your coating. To round things up, I would use Q2M Cure as my drying aid after a wash and after stick to a good chemical decontamination every 3 months. Once a year (before winter) a layer of Q2 Wax is a great help. Regards and have a nice Christmas. Regards, Y.
@@GYEON_official The crazy part is not how good Gyeon products are, reply comments on Christmas eve is. Thanks for the explanation and instruction in detail. I just placed a big trolley of Gyeon products from the distributor. Thanks!
Good afternoon , I would like to ask you an opinion in regards to something that happened to me when using this product. First of all , excellent product , I loved my experience with it , although , I ran into an issue. Following a 2-step paint correction , I washed the car and used prep to clean the surface prior to applying the wax , everything was great, but after a week or so after having applied it , the car was exposed to some sunlight ( summer in Portugal is quite warm ) and when I came home , the paint was all hazed up , I suspect it was the wax still releasing some solvents. I re-wash the car and wiped the paint with a bit of prep. I managed to remove the haze. Any thoughts?
It’s called ghosting or sometimes referred to as sweating. As you said it occurs due to the solvents within the wax evaporating and is exacerbated by hot climates (as what you have in Portugal). Best way to ‘solve’ it is to give the paint a quick detail using a QD spray and buff off any excess residue. Or wait until the next wash like what you did. Out of interest, I believe the Gyeon Wax is a fluorine wax (which is what skiers put on their skis to glide down mountains as it is very slick), so my question is how do you find the slickness of this wax compared to other waxes you have used in the past?
Hi, thank your for your comment. This is quite normal and can happen in hot climates as you mentioned. This “sweating” mostly occurs on the horizontal panels and especially on bonnets because the added engine heat even accelerates this process. What you did is fine. You can use a damp cloth and try to remove it as well, then give it a wipe with Gyeon QuickDetailer. For future wax applications, try to apply it thin and even. Outsweating is also caused by over using the product in an uneven manner. Regards, Y.
@@RobertAtherton I came from Gyeon CanCoat , the only reason I changed to wax was simply to be more engaged with the process more than anything else , so I have no previous experience with other waxes , although I must say , the wipe off is wonderful.
Durability depends on different things but in a normal climate and good maintenance it will last between 3-4 months on daily drivers and this is from my own personal tests. Of course certain panels on a car can degrade quicker then others and preparation is crucial but it’s so easy to apply and wipe off which means a top up layer is done pretty quick. Remember, it’s still a Wax but a damn good one! Regards, Y.
Hi Gyeon I just bought this wax. Can it go over headlights and moon roof glass on the roof, plastic beadings, rubber as well? Would that be OK? Are there any particular areas on the outside of a car that I should not apply it (eaving out wheels, of course). Thank you.
Hi, headlight is no problem and when some wax would be on some rubber it will not stain when wiped off properly but it’s not a wax for rubber and plastic, it’s to apply on painted/clearcoated surfaces. Regards, Y.
Syncro has a topcoat called SKIN which is very very slick. It is that slick that after a fresh application a layer of Wax might not bond very well. A layer of Wax after a fresh coating application it’s primarily goal is to create an extra layer and give the coating enough time to cure in it’s first weeks, especially in harsh climates. Apply the Wax thin the day after you have applied SKIN and if possible leave the car another day inside. Regards, Y.
I used to stack Poorboys EX-P Pure Sealant in 2 or 3 coats spread over 2-3 days. Can you stack layers of this wax too? Or is that a waste of time and product?
Durability depends on different things but in a normal climate and good maintenance it will last between 3-4 months on daily drivers and this is from my own personal tests. Hi, I have just recieved my Gyeon wax and was wondering if you can answer a question for me on the video Yves says to spread a thin layer over each panel but on the wax stick it says to spread a thick layer over each panel so I'm a bit confused. Would be great if you can clear this up for me. Thanks
You are right, this might be confusing. I said this because with an even thin layer the wipe off is always super easy. Although the Gyeon Wax is so easy to wipe off that even a thick layer will cause no issues and assures newbie users from having enough coverage. Hope this answers your question. Regards, Y.
Which topping can you recommend for this GYEON Q² Wax? - Couldnt really find the ideal answer in the comments so far.. one time you wrote CURE, the other time you wrote CERAMIC DETAILER.
Yes because both can be used - any topper from the range can be used of Q² Wax as additional sacrificial layer. Q²M WetCoat / CeramicDetailer / Cure / Bathe+ / QuickDetailer
@@GYEON_official Thanks for your answer. well, I dont have any ceramic coating or so, just the bare GYEON Q² Wax on my car. What is YOUR recommendation as the best topping, for example after a quick hand wash? Or no topping at all?
There is no best! It’s all about preference, expectation and purpose. In your case I would stick to Q²M QuickDetailer or Q²M CeramicDetailer. Regards, Y.
as user, i think wax have all of them beaten, having any of the toppers will masks wax's performance, especially in slickness and gloss and water beads. so i decided to just decontaminate and apply new layer of wax on top and repeat the process whenever i see performance degradation, this is a huge advantage over other layered coatings, because u dont know which layer is thin or completely gone. jsut wax and wax and wax forever. it's such a brilliant product.
It has no abrasives but every wax or oil containing product has “filling” abilities. The strength here lies in the high amount amount of carnauba together with the fluorine mix. This gives a very high gloss and great durability. On top of that we made it easy to use. Best regards, Y.
Hi Y @gyeon, Will Q2 Wax protect my car from possible swirl marks happening? I have Mohs Evo+Cure on my black Tesla and unfortunately I have to use a car cover on it because it lives under an oak tree and I’ve noticed taking on/off the cover has been inducing swirl marks. Thank you for the insight!
It will reduce it due to slickness but nothing except PPF will protect your clearcoat from scratching. A car cover is really the last thing to lay on paint, especially outside. I would suggest to make a system where the car is covered but in such a way that the cover doesn’t touch your car. Regards, Y.
I used the white Gyeon polsihing pad. You can apply Q²Wax to the whole car and even leave it overnight before wipe off. We recommend to wait at least 45min but if you wait longer it will come off super easy as well. Regards, Y.
You can but it’s not our recommendation because durabilty on wheels is different then on paint. To get a more durable result on wheels we suggest to apply Q²TRIM. Regards, Y.
It will be hard to get a “clean” finish and adhesion is not equal as on clearcoat which will result in lower durability. I would suggest Q²Cancoat Evo for a quick and budget friendly solution. Regards, Y.
Are there any benefits to leaving the wax to cure for longer say 24hrs. I'm sure I read a comment about putting it over can coat and leaving it longer can be beneficial?
Probably won't last long or provide hydrophobic behavior. Go with sonax brilliant shine detailer or gyeon cancoat. From experience, they both work great.

Regards,
Y.
Interesting! I just applied my first Can Coat on my car and the beading from the rain this week has been great. How do I add this wax to my maintenance schedule? E.g. Can Coat in spring, wax in between as I please, then Can Coat in the Fall before winter? Would I need to strip the wax before I put a pre-winter Can Coat? Thanks in advance.
I wouldn’t make it to complicated if I were you. Let CanCoat do it’s job during winter, it’s very durable and will for sure last through one Winter. After that period I suggest to do a thorough decontamination of your paintwork and then it’s a good moment to add the Wax on top.

Y.

Hi
after how long can we apply Wax over a CanCoat?
Thanks
Hi, give Cancoat 2h to settle and you will be fine.

Hi Gyeon, which foam pad do you use on the polisher in the video. I can't seem to find it in the assortment.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
Looks like a Kock Chemie pad
Great video. I work on classic cars only and I only use paste wax...P21s 100% carnauba and Swissvax for the very special cars. But I enjoyed the video a lot and thanks for a great video. I will give this product a try. And, I just subscribed to your channel. Thanks.
Thank you for your comment and for watching. I think you will like the Wax.

Hi Guys,
I have spent a fantastic afternoon polishing and waxing my Alpha Romeo Giulia Veloce. The Gyeon wax is so easy to apply and remove, leaving my car with a dripping wet appearance.
I’m just wondering do I need to use Gyeon Prep before applying a fresh coat of wax when the wax begins to fail ?
Hi Craig,
Great car choice, I love the Giulia!
There is no need to use Q²M Prep for adding another layer of Q²M Wax but I would suggest to do a good chemical decon in the first place. You don’t want it to bond on top of contamination.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official thank you so much for the quick response I really appreciate it. I am very blessed to have the Giulia especially now it looks so beautiful thanks to Gyeon Wax 😜
How often should this be done? If I have been using the quick ceramic coating often?
You mean how often to Wax your car? Well there are many variables so it’s really hard to answer that question in a short notice but with good maintenance every 4 months should be very satisfying.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official great!! This means I should also get this product…on top of using the quick ceramic detailer once a month…😅👍🏼👍🏼
You will not be disappointed and once a while applying a Wax can be very satisfying. Enjoy.
Regards,
Y.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official Thanks!
Buenas noches, este producto protege contra los rayos uv, saludos
Regards,
Y.
Regards,
Y.
Regards,
Y.
@@RobertAtherton I came from Gyeon CanCoat , the only reason I changed to wax was simply to be more engaged with the process more than anything else , so I have no previous experience with other waxes , although I must say , the wipe off is wonderful.
@@RobertAtherton it’s very slick mate smooth as can be best I’ve used
Hi, what durability would you expect and would restart shampoo affect this
Durability depends on different things but in a normal climate and good maintenance it will last between 3-4 months on daily drivers and this is from my own personal tests. Of course certain panels on a car can degrade quicker then others and preparation is crucial but it’s so easy to apply and wipe off which means a top up layer is done pretty quick.
Remember, it’s still a Wax but a damn good one!
Regards,
Y.
Could this be applied on top of mohs evo? And if so how long should I wait after applying mohs to go ahead with the wax on top?
Hi is it better to use the Gyeon quick detailer as a drying agent for the wax? Or the ceramic detailer🤔
Both will do great. CeramicDetailer will help you keep the hydrophobic properties for a longer period.
Regards,
Y.
Ive only just found out about this product, but I have a question.
Can I use this on gloss vinyl wrap?
Yes, sure you can!
Hi Gyeon
I just bought this wax.
Regards,
Y.
if i apply syncro to my car, how many time i need to wait to apply the wax?
Syncro has a topcoat called SKIN which is very very slick. It is that slick that after a fresh application a layer of Wax might not bond very well. A layer of Wax after a fresh coating application it’s primarily goal is to create an extra layer and give the coating enough time to cure in it’s first weeks, especially in harsh climates.
Apply the Wax thin the day after you have applied SKIN and if possible leave the car another day inside.
Regards,
Y.
Will the ceramic detailer take away some of the hydrophobic’s from the wax? Thanks
No, it will not.
Regards,
Y.
I used to stack Poorboys EX-P Pure Sealant in 2 or 3 coats spread over 2-3 days. Can you stack layers of this wax too? Or is that a waste of time and product?
It’s not gonna perform significantly better. The most important thing is to get your prep right to ensure a good bonding.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official it's mostly for durability. Then I assume 2 layers is the best achievable. Thank you for the info!
Which is better gyeon wax or ceramic detailer for ceramic coated car?
Two different products that serve different needs amd have different results. All depends on you and your expectations.

Y.
@@GYEON_official can i use wet coat after wax?
@user-to1tp7wy8h You can but why? Let your wax perform till it’s gone and then choose your next favourite protection or LSP.

What speed would you recommend for DA application?
Minimum speed.
T.
Could i apply it with an orbital machine and your Q2M finish white pad?
Absolutely. Great combo! Just let it sit for a minimum of 45 minutes before wipe off or if you have the chance, leave it overnight.

What is the longevity of Gyeon Wax?

Hi, I have just recieved my Gyeon wax and was wondering if you can answer a question for me on the video Yves says to spread a thin layer over each panel but on the wax stick it says to spread a thick layer over each panel so I'm a bit confused.
Would be great if you can clear this up for me.
Thanks
You are right, this might be confusing. I said this because with an even thin layer the wipe off is always super easy. Although the Gyeon Wax is so easy to wipe off that even a thick layer will cause no issues and assures newbie users from having enough coverage.
Hope this answers your question.

Y.
@@GYEON_official Thanks for the quick reply and yes this clears things up.
Thanks
Could I apply a layer of CanCoat Evo and then top with Q2 Wax?
Yes you can.

Y.
as user, i think wax have all of them beaten, having any of the toppers will masks wax's performance, especially in slickness and gloss and water beads. so i decided to just decontaminate and apply new layer of wax on top and repeat the process whenever i see performance degradation, this is a huge advantage over other layered coatings, because u dont know which layer is thin or completely gone. jsut wax and wax and wax forever. it's such a brilliant product.
Does this have some abrasive or filling abilities to hide/remove swirls and scratches
It has no abrasives but every wax or oil containing product has “filling” abilities.
The strength here lies in the high amount amount of carnauba together with the fluorine mix. This gives a very high gloss and great durability. On top of that we made it easy to use.
Best regards,
Y.
how long do i need to wait to apply a second coat of q2 wax
A minimum of 2 hours and you can do a second layer if you want.
Regards,
Y.
Regards,
Y.
Is it ceramic based coating?
Our wax is carnauba based, fluorine infused.
How do i maintain the towels?
Wash them with hot water and Q²M TowelWash.

Y.
when pad you are using when apply with the polisher? and we apply the wax too the whole car and then wait 30 minutes to wipe off?
I used the white Gyeon polsihing pad. You can apply Q²Wax to the whole car and even leave it overnight before wipe off. We recommend to wait at least 45min but if you wait longer it will come off super easy as well.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official what is the temperature have to be when applying and if it’s colder weather should we not wait too long before removing?
@@GYEON_official what’s the durability?

@@GYEON_official thank you
Can I use it to coat my wheels?
You can but it’s not our recommendation because durabilty on wheels is different then on paint. To get a more durable result on wheels we suggest to apply Q²TRIM.
Regards,
Y.
@@GYEON_official Thanks for your help! Which other Gyeon products I can combine with your wax for every wash?
Does this work on PPF too?
It will be hard to get a “clean” finish and adhesion is not equal as on clearcoat which will result in lower durability. I would suggest Q²Cancoat Evo for a quick and budget friendly solution.
Regards,
Y.
Are there any benefits to leaving the wax to cure for longer say 24hrs. I'm sure I read a comment about putting it over can coat and leaving it longer can be beneficial?
A minimum of 45 min is mandatory but if you can wait till the day after it’s never bad.

@@GYEON_official Thank you for the reply. I will try this tomorrow. Love the insane water behaviour.

30min cure is not good what if it just rains while its curing
