I just love the idea of an alternate cut of this game where they remove the inner monologues but keep the pauses in dialogue. New video new video new video new video new video new video
I found Jesse's aloofness jarring for a bit during the first few hours but then realized that every single conversation in this game seems stilted somehow, like everyone is in on some information that the player isn't privy to and eventually decided that it's meant to convey a dream logic of some sort and its purpose is to make the player feel uneasy by design. It certainly gels with the rest of Control's vibe in that sense.
I was gonna ask about if you've seen The Lost Room and you just jumped there. It probably pales in 2023 with so many TV shows but I wouldn't skip it if you loved Control.
Great video! You brought out a lot of neat stuff, such as the brutalist architecture. You even had theories on how to justify the save points with in-game lore. I rage quit on this one a few times, but I'm so glad you enjoyed it. You're much kinder on your experiences. I'm subscribed and looking forward to your future videos.
Good video! I would have liked if you'd gone just a little deeper into the characters or the metaphors for bureaucracy etc. But as an overview of why this game was cool as heck, you did a good job here. Also on the graphics of the game. I played it without RTX/ray tracing and it looked nearly identical to how it looks with RTX on. Especially when you're moving and everything's exploding around you you're not gonna see the difference. Games have gotten pretty good at faking reflections and lighting before real time ray tracing was an option. So yeah, just a heads up for folks that might think they need to upgrade their PCs to play this.
Another dope video. I was always pretty "meh" about this game, but this got me thinking maybe I'll give it a shot sometime :) Also, another banger of a thumbnail from your designer friend!
We talked about you tlaking about control and posting about control then you go and make a video on it haha. I'm gonna have to play it again when I get time. I really enjoyed the video and honestly this is my favorite Reedy game. They really perfected that Twin Peaks meets twilight zone type world. The world and atmosphere is top notch in my book. I honestly think out if every game ai have ever played which is a very long list Prey and Control ha e the absolute best atmosphere. Great seeing another video man and I'll be there for whatever you do next. Stop by and check out my new Prey video when you get a chance.

Very much appreciated, ty.

You've truly been blessed by the gods of old forum fixes.

Best game ever made fr
Great job mate. I straight up can't remember more than half of what I wrote in my video about it but I'd say this is auch better job overall.
The best part about the deleted reddit account is that there's 50/50 chances of being either a privacy-conscious individual or a pipe bomb enjoyer
