Just returned to the game and did nothing but Guardian Games tonight. Is it different or worse to get special ammo there than in say regular Crucible? I felt like even when I was absolutely killing it I only had 1 glaive shot ever. Makes it feel way more useless than it was before IMO. Can anyone clear this up?
One thing that i hope doesnt happen is double primary just being the meta. It makes games slow down so much and devolves into sitting in lanes and teamshotting.
I dunno about this one. (the sandbox changes, not your video. your videos bang!) D1 fell-off HARD when double primary meta was prominent. D2 has been on life-support for a long while now and these changes are ANYTHING BUT helpful to bringing in new and returning guardians (short essay incoming) I honestly feel really bad for the people who hate PvP but still drag themselves through it in order to try and get loot they want(a majority of D2 players). I personally don't think Destiny 2 has any business trying to be a competitive shooter. It's a silly PvP sandbox where cheaters run rampant, XIM users play the game without even A CHANCE of being banned (I've seen XIM players with 5K+ hours and 3.5+ K/D on steam), controller players with heavy aim magnetism get to shoot melon- sized projectiles that register as "precision damage", . and hunters (allegedly) make up nearly 50 percent of the player-base despite the fact that solar warlocks and void titans have supers that enforce them as "hard meta" in endgame PvP (IN 3V3). I truly believe that the game is at its best when the crucible is played creatively in a way that emphasizes diversity and fun. Every time they try and push the game in a "competitive" direction it backfires. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND approved a set of sandbox changes that effectively widen the gap between blueberries and the hardcore community? If the PvP sandbox wasn't overly punishing and frustrating for new players before, surely now it will be. Sorry casuals, Bungie is set on glazing it's outspoken hardcore dedicated player-base at the cost of your enjoyment. Don't get me wrong, I love that Bungo is supporting their PvP sandbox... but honestly this is a "kick in the teeth" to it's casual, unexperienced, and bad players. Destiny is sacrificing accessibility at the cost of being "competitive", how is snowballing a match with special ammo "competitive"? (as if the weapon sandbox has ever had genuine competitive competitive integrity or been balanced to begin with) It's simply not fun to be forced into mid-long ranged gunfights that rely more on positioning and team coordination than mechanical skill and creativity of gameplay; nor does it feel fun to get melted by a sidearm that kills as fast as or faster than SMGs ever did. I digress... To get to my point; it seems Bungie has neglected to address just how cheesy and imbalanced the crucible IS and will continue to be. While weapon changes ARE refreshing (and A LOT of the weapon changes are good!) , these changes do very little to address some "bigger picture" issues within the sandbox, and I believe they'll have a net negative impact. TY for coming to my TED Talk! sincerely, a long time Destiny vet who CANNOT get any of my friends to even give the game another chance
Has Bungie said anything about new maps comming in Final Shape? Did they say anything beforehand with Forsaken? I know 3 maps are comming soon but that is the bare minimum. And the new changes with the sandbox is good but it's not new content. I'm asking 'couse I'm looking for a reason to play crucible.

The cheese was just way too much and it’s been so dang sweaty for a long time. Hopefully this update helps.
What pulses are you using in this game play?
I haven’t played in a while, but the special ammo meter does not seem like a good idea.
Thanks for the video. Haven’t played in a few months and genuinely curious how this will play out. Also I want a hover board so I’ll be playing haha. Cheers brother
So what igneous roll that 2 head and 1 body??
This will be the final nail in the coffin for Pvp🤣🤣
Lol that sentence has been said 500 times, usually by shotgun apes and sniper crutches
9:42 inaccurate;
Persistent card awards and adept but no lighthouse.
Per bungie, you can get your adept after completing the card, reset it, and farm another adept.
The ferocity card allows flawless, whereby after 3 wins, any incurred loss will rear you back to three without flawing your card. So it’s just 4 straight wins to lighthouse.
I was trying to get deadeye but with this change i am out.
What’s your roll on the Helio side arm TV?
Did they say anything about double special? Double grenade launcher in particular ie fighting lion builds
@true.. I’m just coming back to crucible after a long hiatus. I don’t feel all that confident using a shotty and just end up using double primary. But I’d love to use a shotty. What are some I should be looking for? Or possibly have in the vault. Many thanks.
chaperone, conditional finality, matador
All bungie really needs to do now is nerf Titan overshield / barricades and the sandbox would be such a better state - it’s been going on for what seems like 1+ years now like this
Great explanation- thanks for the clarifications!
you're awesome thanks for this!
Changing so much yet doubling down on SBMM is a massive L.
We need change, and unfortunately we dont have the playercounts for SBMM and the lobby balancing is a "trust me bro well fix it."
I wonder if u ll be able to focus an adept weapon that you got from a persistent card..
I think so, just has to be 7 wins on the card.
What hand cannon are you using at the 3 minute mark? Some suros one for sure but which is it?
that's the minuet from year one, love it
@@TrueVanguard thank you. Wish the vault system was better so I did t have to delete so many gold guns like the minuet and many others cause of lack of space. I've been using cantata and annual skate lots recently and they remind me of minuet
I've waited for this. I need to know if it's ok to jump back in.
Does this mean that the perk Overflow is effectively useless in PvP since you can no longer pick up special ammo from dead players?
What’s that omolon pulse? You using
that's the stay frosty
@@dramguard thank you
Question for anyone who (hopefully) notices:
Can you drop major ranks in Competitive now, i.e. from Gold to Silver?
Another massive change that may be glossed over by PC/MNK players is that they are letting us alter our deadzones all the way to totally removing them. Those who have put a lot of time into D2 as well as another shooter that already allows this like Apex Legends will recognize this as a massive (and very welcome) change.
Good video, I think that everyone understood after this one.
will there be any reason to invest into the intellect stat for trials of osiris? when I played checkmate trials no one ever got supers.
i got my ice pick, bubble, and well pretty often. Got my bubble and well every semi-close game. I say invest into intellect only on the fastest and second fastest charging tier of supers. I never got my strand hunter super in checkmate but i get it pretty often in normal trials
Bows if my math is correct will need 2 crits to get the kill...no more 1 head 1 body and no more one shot kills in e powering on certain resilience checks.
What about my shotswap vorpal bow with last word on arc.hunter with shinobus vow. I'm scared with this blanket debuff to abilities. Shinobus already has trash energy back from its exotic traits. So idk..I'm scared to get on
Ill still be dead when the threadlings from putting down a well and then throwing a threadling grenade. Free kill from around the corner with no risk
Where can we go to find people willing to help earn a vex catalyst?
Just returned to the game and did nothing but Guardian Games tonight. Is it different or worse to get special ammo there than in say regular Crucible? I felt like even when I was absolutely killing it I only had 1 glaive shot ever. Makes it feel way more useless than it was before IMO. Can anyone clear this up?
One thing that i hope doesnt happen is double primary just being the meta. It makes games slow down so much and devolves into sitting in lanes and teamshotting.
Tv what about timepayload is still going too work as before
1 quick clarification: hackers and ximmers will not be taken care of. Matter of fact is, it will now be even harder to beat them. Can't wait 🤮
I dunno about this one. (the sandbox changes, not your video. your videos bang!)
D1 fell-off HARD when double primary meta was prominent. D2 has been on life-support for a long while now and these changes are ANYTHING BUT helpful to bringing in new and returning guardians
(short essay incoming)
I honestly feel really bad for the people who hate PvP but still drag themselves through it in order to try and get loot they want(a majority of D2 players).
TY for coming to my TED Talk!
sincerely,
a long time Destiny vet who CANNOT get any of my friends to even give the game another chance
This only benefits high skilled players.
How can they not see this
Bumgo is playing a new game called
How fast can we kill what's left of destiny population and have the highest pre-ordering returns in one week
"we got better" is code for, "lots of people are cheating"
Thank god u made this video, you are a saint sir
What is thar auto/smg he is using?
Necrochasm
Destiny needs to stay Destiny...not a cheap version of COD
The grenades,supers,abilitys...thats what Destiny is about
Good summary. Thanks.
So people who struggle at pvp will be better or much more worse?
Much worse, this update directly hurt casual pvp player, imo not good
I’m not gonna watch this, I’m gonna wait for Datto’s reaction to Fallouts reaction video mkay?
For snipers they could have simply made flinch changes
I wish they'd just given bows falloff or something tbh.... this doesn't kill bowswapping, it doesn't kill Le Monarque or Wish-Ender, it just kills all the fun of bows not named Ticuu's Divination.
Thanks TV! 🙌🏻
So Stompee, Ophidian, Dunemarchers meta incoming
What makes you think that? Curious to hear your thoughts, I’m an ophidian aspect warlock so I’m curious
@@crave4663 If abilities matter less, than any exotic that enhances abilities are worth less. Exotics that enhance movement or have continuous uptime are now more valuable in relative comparison.
Oh wow. See you in final shape.
Awesome mate, great work
Unfortunately this coming Tuesday you will eye witnesses the final death of pvp
Increasing the skill gap with focus on head shots is just going to chase away what's left of the casual player base and make cheaters stand out more, so prepare to encounter the most sweat you have ever seen in destiny
I’m sorry to say, the persistence card will not entice me to play trials. One roll per week with my embarrassing rng while getting constantly slaughtered would only kill me faster in reality.
Supposedly it will attact people that previously wouldnt make it to the lighthouse and they will be fodder for making it to the lighthouse 😢
@@eldritchweather Exactly. I don’t need to increase my depression and anxiety all for a weapon. There no point in trying. Give me one reason why I should attempt the persistence card, that makes it worth it?
A single adept roll doesn’t seem worth increasing my real world problems.
Its just another way to repopulate Trails with cannon fodder for the cry babies who can almost get there but gatekeep by the upper echelon of players.
@@gmdark7620 recently started farming adepts from nightfalls and got instantly disillusioned definitely not worth the grind compared to a crafted weapon. Still being at a low skill level my two blood- soaked were great personal moments!
The reason people lose in trials is not bc of gunplay. It’s bc of their mentality. If you learn to play without getting emotional during a match you will go flawless. I’m a 1kd and have 152 flawless. I go solo mostly and win raffles sometimes.
I hope thorn doesn't get trashed
This is what I had hoped for. But I wanted it about 6 years ago...`
It doesnt matter what the changes are if it won't bring new or returning players.
Have these changes already been applied?
It'll happen next reset, essentially the "mid-Season patch".
March 5th
Thanks guys. Much appreciated
Shotguns are infinitely easier to use than snipers, and fusions even easier than that, yet they choose to nerf snipers again 🤦♂️
Easy has NOTHING to do with it.... The fact is, snipers are relatively forgiving for the dominance they have over the field. No other comp game has snipers as easy to use as they are in D2. Shotguns don't ruin matches
@@Mr-R.R. zero skill shotguns combined with ability cheese definitely ruins the game. Then fusions have insane range for how consistent they are.
idk if destiny would be considered a competitive game in any way.
@@shilljonnyshill that is because Bungie keeps adding things that destroy balance. Healing, overshields, anything with tracking, easy to use one hit kill weapons.
What hc is that? Don't recognize it
Exalted truth
Its Minuet-42 for Y1
I can see D1 Y3 repeating. Also the good palyers get better and normal player stay as they are coz there is no spical ammo for them to practice on it in the fisrt place .
Whattt? Lmao getting good at the game is using *primary* . Coping hard cause you crutch special.
lmfao exactly goddamn noobs@@simplyfitness892
Waaaah taste my masterworked Mida, noob. Lmao...
Thank you TV
Got a “Rufus’s Fury” adept the other day with moving target and target lock! Also a Koraxis to pair for extra reload and handling. Feeling ready for the changes. 🙂
Thanks, TV.
Were back to double primary lol
Bungie complicates things for no reason.
All that is needed is a playlist of only wespons, another of abilities, another where everything goes, and matchmaking based on load outs.
My favourite thing is if you go back to the witchqueen era streamers were complaining that the best way to buff weapons were to increase there forgiveness its a relentless cycle, i think this is better to have a focus on precision but give it time and i expect to hear best way to make this weapon viable is forgiveness again. Its weird i feel that constant updates are not actually healthy for the game anymore in terms of sandbox because it feels like a hamster wheel with repetitive updates:(
How do I get your bot lobbies bro
I dont think TV is a scumbag like that. But alot of other popular streamers use vpn services like no lag vpn or things similar. Its how they always get super easy bot lobbies by switching servers but they themselves are 3.0+ kd. Its their dirty little secret. The tramps lol.
Will you go over the console changes when they come out on 2/22?
I never liked the idea of sbmm sure it sucks for the players that get farmed but that's also how you get better , it's annoying as a good PvP player to always play your same skill , takes some fun out of it
Haven’t logged in in about a year but haven’t uninstalled. After hearing special ammo nerf and nothing about SBMM tone done in casuals. Then I guess it’s time to uninstall.
Is this going to be like d1 where it becomes (and was left as) sidearm meta. That sucked.
Will see if balance in this game before and players got bored of it
It's refreshing watching true play. There's none of that hard meta crap here.
