What are your deadzone settings?
Edit: If you are finding with axial deadzone 0 that your controller is picking up too much diagonal movement when you want to go straight then tune it up slightly based on preference and that should help!
Gamesir gs7e raw mode. I’m on 0.6. Game feels so different now. My aim even got better than it was on destiny

Dude, what a great suggestion. I use my BXR-55 a lot and this tweak just gave it that extra bit of focus and stability that makes it far more accurate at great ranges. Thanks 👽✌️

Haha I completely forgot about the controller update settings. Luckily found your video so will change it up. Using the elite 2 controller on Xbox series x and it has some bad stick drift. I’ve been through 3 of them and the one I have now is the best one I guess. Hopefully adjusting those settings will make it better for me. Thanks my guy for the video 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Found it out yesterday. Aiming and movement feel so much better now. As a sniper I always struggled with these deadzones. I remember in Battlefield 1 all these settings were possible right out of the box and had been arguing for years why Bungie wouldn't implement it. Well, after almost 10 years they made it 😅

I just got back into D2 after a few month break, during that break I learned about dead zones in MW3 and how much of a game changer it was. When I came back to D2 I saw that it had these dead zone settings. I always thought they were there and I never paid attention to them until now. Did not know they were a recent update.

@@RagingADHDIn destiny your reticle whether you are aiming or hip firing was never in the middle of your screen. It was further down than normal. Now if you change the setting your reticle will now properly be in the very center of your screen.
My monitor has an optional centre dot, crosshair, red or green. I’ve never been able to use it. I’ll check that out. Great for no scope. Xbox series x.

Thanks for even mentioning this at all. Xbox player here, and the dead zone issue was huge for me - seems like barely anyone is freaking out about this change. Probably because PC players could use software to adjust deadzones already? Idk, but I was a little scared to go straight to 0 and just sort of ticked the numbers down a few each day I signed on, and haven't felt the difference at all yet, but after watching this I understand what to do
THANK YOU! 🙌🏻 instantly felt better after this change. Tracking felt easier and lowering my sensitivity feels so much better. Yeah too many mnk players giving me tips for controller that I thought were good.
I’ve been playing a ton of siege lately and the dead zones are perfect, so it was jarring coming back to destiny. It was literally one of the first things I noticed, it’s very hard to precisely aim with high dead zones

Learning what caused the stupid square deadzone and shutting that down to zero has saved my destiny experience. I said I’d only comeback when they brought deadzone in and it still felt clunky because I had them both at six lol. So I thank you

playing destiny feels so much better now on console, also setting my crosshair to the center of the screen instet of lowered also feels so much better. took way to long for them to fix.

!!! SIDE NOTE !!! - you can also center the reticle now on controller. It’s always been centered on M&K.
Setting is under gameplay about halfway down. I know not major but wanted to let people know if they missed if
I changed it and absolutely hated it…. On Xbox series x. I also play on pc and use a controller and it works it’s weird on console.

I logged into destiny this Tuesday & never changed anything- but the sensitivity when looking around felt,

The default deadzones on this game is insane, as for someone that uses alc (advanced look controls) on Apex I'm glad they made this change. I instantly changed mine, feels way too laggy at default
One helpful tip as well especially for those running pro controller ie scuf ,elite etc : find a good local tech shop in the area that services gaming controllers. It’s usually a 50 fix to replace the worn out control sticks ,causing stick drift, but well worth it as opposed to the 250-350 price tag on pro controllers
I had no idea this was an actual thing, but I always noticed this in Destiny, and coming from PC gaming, I just thought it was a quirk of console controller mechanics. Thanks for this tip!

One is set to 0 and the 1 under that is set to 4. Just finish normal 50 onslaught and I thought I had a lot of kills, but my overalls score was awful. Idk... I was using 2 trace riffles and tarnation

You didn't show us how it works such as moving your right thumb stick or left stick to up down or left right?
You can also move your aim to midle screen now

I have a xbox elite controller and as soon as I get to .11 I get stick drift. Will that be the lowest I'm able to go or is there a way to eliminate stick drift and get lower?
How old is your controller? I’m on my second one. They get a bit sloppy at about 6 months gaming 2h/day. I believe there’s a fix. I haven’t taken mine apart yet. Reddit has some long reads on the elite 2 and how they can suck right out of the box. I’ve never been great at tracking head shots with autos, smg,pulse because of this. I’d stick to bows and hand cannons. I’d swipe past their head and shoot as the radicle passed over their head.
I’ll have to try the new settings out. Maybe I’ll be able to use OTHER weapons competitively now. 🤔
@OFNAmatiC9237 I had it a little over a year. You're spot on, 6 months in right bumper stopped working. After taking it apart and cleaning it, started working fine again.
As for the targeting, had the same problem too with aiming. It's still a little weird, but a noticeable difference with the dead zone settings, especially the axial at 0. Radial, I'm still trying to tweak it as low as possible. Seems like .15 has no drift at all. Hopefully I'll figure out how to get it lower.
I suck at this game yet I’m ascendant 1 and I’m ignorant af about settings. Sure I move certain button mappings to certain buttons because I prefer a universal feeling to my game settings regardless of device or game. Bought a victrix for ps5 just for that elite 2 feeling. But I notice whenever I que trials I play or have bad players in my lobbies… like they miss shots and don’t slide corners or prenade, prefire, or read radar…. And they peak from the wrong side of cover 😂 I farm in trials. But most game modes feel like I’m mid af and I ply comp ALOT.

This has been a long time coming. Night and day difference in controls.
Before it was a bit of a smooth ride all the time even at max sense. Now you can ride like a rally car then a Cadillac.
If you have been using controller since the beginning, it’s been fine. If you’re actually good you can do well on any platform. Now it just got better for console players.
I messed about with these settings and later forgot. When I returned to play my retinal wal drifting I thought I broke my controller 😂
