What I like about Colin is that he's shown to be attentive towards the women in his life. He was the only brother that actively listened to Daphne (Anthony was incredibly dismissive of Daphne and Benedict was very passive). He was the only person that actively asked Eloise what was going on between her and Penelope, *and* he bought her feminist literature. He actively listens and asks Penelope questions (Is that not the plight of all man kind? What is your purpose in life? Why do you want a husband? What makes you most comfortable?), and through that we see that he thinks of Penelope as an equal intellectual, which is unheard of from the men of those times. He takes care of his drunk mother, he does all of these things. I wish we had seen more of him, not just to get the general audience to understand him but also because I just genuinely like his character compared to the other male leads, he's a very sweet person. And like you guys say, he's a sensitive soul. I wrote this in another comment section but I personally would choose Colin out of everyone because of how he's shown to treat the women in his life. Respectful, attentive and just a great listener. Benedict is a good listener too when he wants to be, Anthony...well...he is perfect for his wife, but not for me.
Same! 💯 Colin is the best option out of older brothers for me too. I don't know how Gregory would be in his season. I noticed Colin since s1 and liked him in s2. He is my pick too appearance wiseand by hiss character too
Don't you love when Anthony gestures for Colin to join him & Benedict to talk over the duel plan, & Colin goes "Good God! Did someone die??!" With that look on his face!?!! The contrast beween the two of them becomes hilarious! 😂
They tried to turn him into Anthony. The only thing we got of Colin was him acting like someone else. I didn't care much for Anthony but his season worked because he needed a woman like Kate to come in and humble him. Colin was kind, attentive and being a friend above all else. But the Colin came back was trying to be icky Anthony and he got more time to build his nasty stupid threesome (what is with all the threesomes this season!!? I don't hate them but they are simply not my idea of romance) than we got of Colin's building his friendship into love. Instead we got Glenda the Good Witch of the North telling us he's always been in love with her. Sorry that just didn't ring true. There is a subtle difference between loving someone and being in love with someone. It was a good payoff but a waste of their best season.
@@williethomas5116 Colin himself says in the carriage scene that he was "trying for so long to be the man society expected me to be." And then he says, "For a moment, I thought I had succeeded." Then come the lines about his recent "confounding feelings" -- which we know began after he kissed Penelope. And you can see it in the bar scene with those rakish guys as well - "Forgive me, but don't you find this lifestyle rather lonely?" or something like that. He's realizing that no, he does not want the life of a rake after all. He wants real emotional connection. He advises Cressida not to choose the lonely, hard-hearted life, too (even though that tactic fails miserably). So, Colin is actually the one who turned himself into a smooth, callous, lone wolf --- before coming home to realize that the true love he sought was across the street from him the whole time.
What's really sad is Colin was a side character in his own season. Like at least Penelope had the LW arc and bridging her relationship with her mom/sisters! Luke is such a GREAT actor like this guy can seriously show any emotion with just his eyes it's mesmerizing. Like they could've shown his inner feelings to LW reveal more, or his response to Penelope's pregnancy, or how he finished his book like there could've been so much more Colin and Polin too!
@@harikak6788 Colin was not a side character. He commanded every scene he was in. Of which there were many. It’s interesting that after “the kiss”, he was more reflective of the feelings he was going through. The book was totally his thoughts and feelings and awe at how he has missed “seeing” Penelope. In a theater production he would have a monologue to tell the audience what he is thinking and feeling. When Eloise asked him how he was, he told her that a man can have thoughts. So although he did not have lines we saw him thinking, observing, and we watched his jealousy grow. He became desperate at the thought of losing Pen to another man even though he faked-helped her. We forget that the writers have to set up other stories for the future seasons. I’m just curious about the young Baron of Kent. Will he be the future love interest of Hyacinth? I don’t know. It will be exciting to see how these stories pan out.
@@wilmabonet5086 I agree that Colin did get to showcase a lot of his feelings throughout and that’s really how you could see his tremendous acting skills. However I feel like they could’ve done more with his and Penelope’s story. And yes they can set up stories for futures seasons like Francesca’s plot made sense. And maybe if Mondrich story has more in the future, I could even see that. But Lady Bridgerton’s story, and Benedict’s multiple sex scenes were not more important than showcasing more Polin in their own season. I feel like there were already enough other plot lines with Cressida and Featheringtons that it was just too much. I love S3 bc of Polin but I feel like they weren’t done enough justice in comparison to the previous 2 leads.
@@harikak6788indeed! Those Lady Arnold scenes were almost repulsive to me, especially they way they were cut into more interesting & important stories.
Colin is my fave Bridgerton and he and Pens relationship was what made me watch this show. He pays so much attention to Pen in little ways he always asks how she's feeling and what she's thinking. He's caring and thinks about others. He asked Pen what made her comfortable and constructed a whole set up to make her comfortable. He did deserve more screen time but he's genuinely the type of guy every woman wants. Sweet, caring, family man. He just needed to get past his insecurities and feeling like the person he loved made a fool of him.
this is why he's my fav bridgerton >.< (honestly i hate how badly they potrayed colin with lazy writing 13:59 but luke did his character justice and did so much despite given so little) btw i like thiss character analysis (one by sammy bates as well) weird that Colin is the only bridgerton that i can imagine wanting to be my husband
My favorite characters and my favorite couple:) so it really sucks that we barely had screen time with them this season. People from the show said that the screentime was their stories in Season 1&2, but I feel like that shouldn't be the reason.
This is so on the mark!! Finally!! This is exactly what I felt and loved. I finally listened to someone else saying exactly how I felt about his character. WELL DONE 👏🏻
I just wish the writers and producers gave him more to flesh out his character. It’s his season but he looked like a side character. They never gave him a chance.
I absolutely feel the same about Colin!! They did him dirty in his own season. Kicked him to the curb all the while showing us other characters storyline. 😫 Colin is my favourite brother. And their story is my absolute fave out of all the books, read it countless times that is why I am so invested this season. To see Colin not live up to his potential from the book was really frustrating. Like the time he went to Cressida to sort the bribery issue I thought he would succeed, because book Colin would. I had thought FINALLY!! A moment for Colin to shine and do something for Pen. I was floored when he failed and turned for the worst. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ Then there was the ending ball, i was like 'WHY ISN'T HE BESIDE HER???!!!' Even if Colin was not the one to reveal LW's identity, he should still be beside her, holding her hand, supporting her to show us that he finally accepted that Penelope and LW are one and the same. Don't just tell us, SHOW US!! 😳😳😳 I felt they did not give Colin enough time/screentime to redeem himself. And i'm crying for him. He may be sensitive and hurt but that dies not mean he can't man up! Like he did at the end of part 1. They build him up in part 1 only to break him down in part 2 and never fully piece him back together. That is part of the dissatisfaction I am feeling for this season. They did not complete Colin's character development. While Penelope's and the Featheringtons arc came full circle beautifully. I felt they had focus on the girl boss feminism aspect more. And not really Polin's love story. That said, Luke and Nicola are the best!!! So glas it was them because their acting and chemistry is out of the world!! ❤❤❤ Thank you for this video. Spreading some Colin Bridgerton love out there. 💛💛💛
I married a Colin (sensitive, romantic, and a bit dramatic lol). Characters like his are really what women usually need from men as a life partner tbvh. So yes, Colin FTW 😂
Thank you for this, I feel exactly the same! Colin's story arch and character developed over all three seasons and I still love him dearly. You explained his turn to rakishness in the first episode well, and that was the whole purpose of portraying him like this upon his return for season 3. Colin was trying to be someone he was not and to not invest too much into relationships, but he was yearning for a deeper, all inclusive connection to someone. Luke talked about this also in the Bridgerton Original Podcast, episode 304 of 06.06.2004, and in many interviews. It was funny, how he later said he was shocked that people felt the 'Ick' over his rakish behavior in episode 1. Poor guy just got over all the hate for Colin's terrible remark of never courting Penelope Featherington, and now this! 😄 The writers are giving Luke a hard time!
Yeah, well not writers, but some people had hard time dissociate actor from their character. I don't know why. 🤷♀️🤦♀️ Anyway Luke did such a great job with Colin. 👏
I just wished they would have given more time to show the love between the two rather than implied that it exist and subject the audience to create assumptions and to accept it as such. People like to see how Penelope fell in love with Colin, his good traits even in flashback. A good 3 minute throw back wouldn't hurt just to remind people the journey that they had been to. Words are good but put it in visual and people would cry bucket of tears for the reminder. Isn't this the set up for real life weddings, graduation and retirement. People like reminders of past events that they forgot and would feel nostalgic looking back on old photos and simple shared moments before starting a new journey in life.
I think Colin's story would have worked a lot better if they straight up just cut the scenes with sex workers. It would be less jarring at least for his character
That was in the book, though. He was following his brothers' way of doing things and how society wanted men to be. Though he made comment how all those interactions once with pen all seemed empty, hallow and lonely. He was searching for something in the women that he couldn't obtain until he married Penelope
They just framed it so oddly. They wanted the shock and jarring look of it to hop straight to him in the sack after a threesome. Far enough away to wonder if it’s Benedict. It felt needlessly voyeuristic and like old game of thrones where they casted girls to be topless for the sake of being topless and remind us how titillating the show wants to be. I wouldn’t even sneer at the brothel scene if they focused more on Colin and his emotional beats in trying to mirror his rakish brothers and other gentlemen. Like show him exasperated and maybe entering the brothel with other men, him looking like he’s going through the motions and not really wanting to be there. Him thinking he’s having fun, but feeling a bit off about it. It would’ve been interesting to see him try to set boundaries with the courtesans, maybe not willing to do certain acts and I wouldn’t even mind more dialogue heavy scenes in the brothel. He pays the time to yap to these sex workers or trying to feel some connection.
I went back and re-watched all of season 1, 2, Queen Charlotte and S3 part 1 while I was waiting for part 2 of S3 to come out. I definitely like Collins’s character better after starting over.
I don't see the "entire internet out to destroy Colin Bridgerton", all my timelines are full of Colin love!! ❤ oh, that damn algorythm prevents people to find the whole spectrum of info.

Anthony maybe hard on outside but he is the most responsible of all , he is caring and willing to sacrifice his own desires for his family. He may have flaws but he is indeed a family oriented man
I'm sorry but since i relate to the character Colin on many things i saw everything you mention on first watch. I had Colin and pen fresh on my mind going in to the season. I also took a read on the psyche and eros love story since this is what the season is going to tell i was completely in and i never fell off. I enjoyed this season but that is just my opinion.
Disagree with probably most of internet on this He isn't 'clueless' She is rather young in season 1. Was made to debut a year early too And justifiably a hesitant wallflower as a consequence of that That he did not notice her as a woman until she decided to grow into her own 'woman' persona is something I respect him for He wasn't clueless He simply wasn't a pedophile(more accurately , an Ephebephile) like, say, George Wickham! I love him for that It's a feature, not a bug
Well, technically at that time (the English Regency of the 19th century) ephebophilia was not frowned upon nor was it repudiated as it is today. So if Colin had dated Penelope in season 1, in the eyes of that ancient era, he wouldn't be doing a sin.
@@Nahuelindomable526 not trying to stick to history here Not that the show is technically trying hard to be historically accurate either But it is being made & viewed in these times - Where teen sex makes u cool & empowered and even pedophilia & grooming are being pushed as a diversity thing, I think it's a good thing that Pen, at 17, was deemed a year too early to be presented as a debutante It's easier to navigate life and relationships once u have come into ur own as a person to some extent
They have less of an age gap in the show - they're only two years apart. A 19 year old being interested in a 17 year old is not, by any definition, ephebophilia.
@@chikzdigmohawkz oh I wasn't aware they had changed the ages If that's canon, ofc ep-philia doesnt apply 😃 In that case, I guess it's really just a lack of self-awareness on his part only because of HIS age It's still not worth a 'clueless' label to me (clearly I have a dislike for it in such a context. Sounds as rude as 'dumb' to me) But then he has needed her to understand himself anyway No wonder everyone took him not-so-seriously & they were up in arms about Marina betrothal So them needing each other makes even more sense now Makes the Polin story practically perfect THANKS!!!
The video title gave me a bit of a scare... I love his character! I think I also felt like he didn't get enough screen time in the beginning but I've rewatched this season 4 times already (with one of the times rewatching form S1 and QC) and do not think so now. I loved this season and I loved their story. I felt so much romance and chemistry between our two leads, it makes me blush. I really did not think I was going to love this season as much as I do. I'm excited at the prospect of seeing them in future seasons just as we have this season with Kate and Anthony. Ugh, time for another rewatch.
i love his character just as a preface, but i agree that i don’t think they approached his ‘rake’ storyline well at all. i think the main reason why people didn’t really like it and why it got a lot of negativity is because it was so jarring and out of character for colin. in the past 2 seasons, at least in the show, he wasn’t made out to be like his brothers at all. he wasn’t sexual, he wasn’t a rake, he didn’t even want to kiss marina in season 1, and i think he came across as more of a sensitive and naive character. i think that if they followed the book more, and made his rake era more subtle, then it would’ve come across as better and more convincing. he was changed when he came back from his travels, but it wasn’t a huge jarring change, and he showed how uncomfortable he was with trying to fit in and how he truly didn’t enjoy being rakish and craved true intimacy and a purpose in life. they didn’t really show him actually being uncomfortable with that in the show. the massive switch in the show just didn’t make sense. they didn’t have to make him all exaggerating-ly flirty since he was never shown to be that way before, and they also didn’t need to add in all those extra scenes of him being seemingly full of himself. in the book, a lot of it was more in his head and journals. they should’ve shown his internal conflict, using his journal entries, about his struggle with not knowing his purpose and trying to fit in when he didn’t even want to. basically what i love about colin’s character so much is how different he is from his brothers, and how he’s a true romantic and nerdy and awkward at times and sweet. they should’ve given him more timeee so people could understand
You certainly don't understand the purpose of the Colin of episode 1 and 2. It was supposed to be icky. We were supposed to not like it because that was not the real Colin, and by Eloise, Violet, LW and Penelope, the people who love him most pointing it out that it was fake we got to see his struggle to fit in with what society expected from men his age. By episode 4 he had completely shed that person and admitted that it wasn't him but that he was trying to fit into a mold that wasn't meant for him. I loved how Luke showed the difference between the icky rake he was trying to be and the sensitive man he was in seasons 1 and 2, and part 3 after finally getting the love of his life. People only watch season 3 and expected it to make sense. Then refuse to watch it again. I read the book many times before season 3, during the break between parts 1 and 2, and after the season ended. I found that I love the Colin of the show much better than the book. Book Colin was angry, aggressive and abusive to Penelope. He would grab her by the arms leaving bruses. People say he would never leave her alone on the street at night, but the book didn't have a scene where she was out at night like in the show. He discovered that she was LW during the day at a church where he had stalked her to, taking an envelope she had left to be picked up by a publisher and opened it. Show Colin would not have disrespected her like that. Book Colin also revealed her as LW without her permission and people want to call that Colin romantic. I love the character changes show Colin has, he's sensitive, respectful, loving, caring, thoughtful and so very hot. Especially when asking for consent.
@@MurielPeck i absolutely agree! i know that the ickiness was done on purpose, all i’m saying is that it shouldn’t have been that exaggerated. colin is my favorite brother and i’m sad that we didn’t get to see much of his character development. there were too many plots going on to focus on it, and he was definitely seen as more of a side character. i liked what we got of him i just wish it was more. for example: we should’ve seen his inner monologue while he was following penelope to the printers. we get it in the book, but they erased it from the show. we also should’ve seen a more depict representation of how he was feeling while he was upset with her rather than just some shots of him sitting down pensively. a lot of this season was done through penelope’s pov which made people prone to misunderstanding colin when there’s so much more to him. also, i’ve seen the entire show multiple times and read all of the books. i agree that he’s much better in the show. the abc’s were all very aggressive in the books, so i’m glad they changed that
Yeah poor colin. The guy just has emotional depth in a society where people have the emotional depth of a tea spoon (well this still applies nowadays actually). His life feels like it lacks purpose and is unfulfilling. He is a demis*xual and even physical intimacy without an emotional connection feels hollow. He was so eager with marina cause he jearned for purpose and depth to an emotional connection. Neither which he got from marina. Instead his sensitivity was used against him and he was ridic*led for it. This already s*cks and then his best friend gh*sts him. So he puts on the emotional arm*ur. He can fake it but its not working. He is running from his sensitivity but his emotional depth was never the problem. I think colin was already changing before the kiss cause getting gh*sted by pen made him value/see her. He said he already jearned to hear from pen abroad. He was trying to win back her favour. The connection he had with pen was important to him. He just didn't realise how. Seeing other guys potentially take his pen away was already uncomfortable for him. But when they kissed it became so much worse. Not only cause he knew what he was feeling. But to little demis*xual colin getting kissed WITH an emotion connection to pen AND she told him she needed to be kissed. That kiss had meaning to pen. It gave that kiss so much more meaning to colin. It had depth. 🥳 Yes I think polin was very short this season. There were many things I would have liked to see. But I have a feeling we can still see them next season. For starters the negative consequences for LW and how that effects colin. He would want to protect his family. Pen learning to use LW in daily life and stand up for herself LD style. The knowledge of pen being LW and how marina feels about this.
We forget that the first two seasons Colin and Pen were side characters as well even though Lady Whistledown was revealed. You could say these series are about the Bridgeton family as told by Pen’s writer persona.
Me encantó. Hermoso.
Definitely 😂, since s1 with the Marina plot and giving more of his personality to Benedict, I still love show Colin, he is so misunderstood, I just wish we could watch more of him as a character and not just as an extension of Penelope
I’d take a nice little mini 4 episode Polin follow-up with her and him and their family started, some LW + him writing a new novel. Maybe a little tiny mystery that they both can solve as a team or something like that would be fun before the next big season. And we can get more of JUST THEM as a couple no sideline stories.
Subtlety and nuance can get lost so easily on an audience who prefers to have things spelled out. Unfortunately, the layout of the show didn’t lend itself well to highlighting everything he was. He did a beautiful job of acting with expressions, but those are hard to interpret when we watch with our modern-day, surface level of distractedness and investment. A real shame because this season was stunning, and they both portrayed this very real love story so beautifully.
He always was my favourite Bridgerton. Season 3 was messy for me, but I liked everything about Colin in part 1 and most in part 2. What is important to note that Colin must let go of two personas this season: first the Rake, which is recognized often, but secondly the Hero. He feels like he needs to earn Pen, and it is not until later that he accepts that her love is not something to earn through heroic deeds, but by supporting her emotionally, just as she emotionally supports him.
I think if we would’ve gotten Benedict as the season 3 lead and Polin as the season 4 leads, then we could’ve had one more season for ACTUAL Colin, Polin and Whistledown development and preparation
They needed one more full episode after the full WD reveal by Pen to finish their story. It would have been wonderful to see Pen and Colin as a loving married couple reacting to the pregnancy, being silly with each other, now that the stress between them is dissolved. I really hope they include some moments in season 4, there is so much potential to continue to grow their story! I had a serious dislike of Colin in season 1 (and don't get me started on Marina), but I could see an evolution starting in season 2, and season 3 blew me away. I still watch an episode when I get a chance!!
Colin is portrayed far better in the show than in the books. Like all the other men in the books, he's toxic and borderline abusive. We've had 3 seasons of building his character and motivations. And they're all laid out. He's the best male lead by some distance and...'the whole internet' girl please. Step outside of your bubble. The whingers are a tiny minority.
I don't think the "whiners" are a minority. If you look at the views those (often very well-produced) videos get as well as the amount of long and differentiated comments below each video, I think it tells a different story of how many people feel.
To me they should have taken the bits they already had from the previous seasons and fuse it with what’s still “salvageable” from book Colin (not much because he was such a red flag but at least some small bits) and then mix it up with what they had in mind for him, not just give him a 180 degree-change because he was already lovable before, and the fact that they just left it there to sink in, didn’t do much for me I guess
I am scared that they are going to give Colin’s live confession to Benedict. The I love you with my past, my future for the years we will have together and the children we will have together for ever one of my smiles and even more for everyone of yours
Ok but foot in mouth syndrome like when he says he will never court Penelope featherington or when he says she entrapped him. There’s sensitive and then there’s cruel. I don’t think he needed more screen time if he was gonna say more dumb shit.

Luke really is an amazing actor. Mesmerizing to watch his eyes
this is why he's my fav bridgerton >.< (honestly i hate how badly they potrayed colin with lazy writing 13:59 but luke did his character justice and did so much despite given so little) btw i like thiss character analysis (one by sammy bates as well)
weird that Colin is the only bridgerton that i can imagine wanting to be my husband
My favorite characters and my favorite couple:) so it really sucks that we barely had screen time with them this season.
People from the show said that the screentime was their stories in Season 1&2, but I feel like that shouldn't be the reason.
Colin and Penelope should had more screen more time ,I didn't care about Benedict story at all !
This is so on the mark!! Finally!! This is exactly what I felt and loved. I finally listened to someone else saying exactly how I felt about his character. WELL DONE 👏🏻
I just wish the writers and producers gave him more to flesh out his character. It’s his season but he looked like a side character. They never gave him a chance.
this. they did so much "tell" and not "show"like??? im confused
I absolutely feel the same about Colin!! They did him dirty in his own season. Kicked him to the curb all the while showing us other characters storyline. 😫
Colin is my favourite brother.
Then there was the ending ball, i was like 'WHY ISN'T HE BESIDE HER???!!!' Even if Colin was not the one to reveal LW's identity, he should still be beside her, holding her hand, supporting her to show us that he finally accepted that Penelope and LW are one and the same. Don't just tell us, SHOW US!! 😳😳😳
I felt they did not give Colin enough time/screentime to redeem himself.
Thank you for this video.
Anyway Luke did such a great job with Colin. 👏
I had no idea people didn’t like Colin. I loved season 3 and I think Colin and Pen both had a transformation. I think that was the point.
There were way too many side plots in S3 ~ needed more Pen n Colon scenes!
So well said! He really did need more screen time! Too many side plots - we needed a little more of polin story!
You are so lucky, I am trying to find more videos like this, or from people who liked the season 😂

Love Polin. Absolutely agree on the flashbacks and letters! Just more Polin happy time.
I love your analysis, but find that your title has a negative notion. It should be "Why Colin Bridgerton deserves love and respect" ❤
Agreed!
Thanks for making this comment. I was actually wondering about skipping this video, but thought I'd check the comments first. If this video is as you say, you may also want to watch the video here on UA-cam (if you haven't already) "Colin Bridgerton Character Analysis" It's a really good in-depth look at his character that really helps people who Colin really is and understand his very real struggles and him overcoming them.
true
Sadly this type of titles are the ones who are getting attention, everyone is hating on Colin 😔😔
I love Colin character in Bridgeton, season 3 is my best.
“His character growth is on hold until til 2026.”😅
Yeah, Colin is the best of them.
Benedict? As a friend for sure.
Anthony? Hard pass for me, not even as a friend.
Anthony maybe hard on outside but he is the most responsible of all , he is caring and willing to sacrifice his own desires for his family. He may have flaws but he is indeed a family oriented man
Still even if they’re could’ve been more added HES still my favourite
I'm sorry but since i relate to the character Colin on many things i saw everything you mention on first watch. I had Colin and pen fresh on my mind going in to the season. I also took a read on the psyche and eros love story since this is what the season is going to tell i was completely in and i never fell off. I enjoyed this season but that is just my opinion.
I like your opinion
Disagree with probably most of internet on this
He isn't 'clueless'
She is rather young in season 1. Was made to debut a year early too
And justifiably a hesitant wallflower as a consequence of that
That he did not notice her as a woman until she decided to grow into her own 'woman' persona is something I respect him for
He wasn't clueless
He simply wasn't a pedophile(more accurately , an Ephebephile) like, say, George Wickham!
I love him for that
It's a feature, not a bug
Well, technically at that time (the English Regency of the 19th century) ephebophilia was not frowned upon nor was it repudiated as it is today. So if Colin had dated Penelope in season 1, in the eyes of that ancient era, he wouldn't be doing a sin.
@@Nahuelindomable526 not trying to stick to history here
Not that the show is technically trying hard to be historically accurate either
But it is being made & viewed in these times
- Where teen sex makes u cool & empowered and even pedophilia & grooming are being pushed as a diversity thing, I think it's a good thing that Pen, at 17, was deemed a year too early to be presented as a debutante
It's easier to navigate life and relationships once u have come into ur own as a person to some extent
They have less of an age gap in the show - they're only two years apart. A 19 year old being interested in a 17 year old is not, by any definition, ephebophilia.
@@chikzdigmohawkz oh
I wasn't aware they had changed the ages
If that's canon, ofc ep-philia doesnt apply 😃
In that case, I guess it's really just a lack of self-awareness on his part only because of HIS age
It's still not worth a 'clueless' label to me
(clearly I have a dislike for it in such a context. Sounds as rude as 'dumb' to me)
But then he has needed her to understand himself anyway
No wonder everyone took him not-so-seriously & they were up in arms about Marina betrothal
So them needing each other makes even more sense now
Makes the Polin story practically perfect
THANKS!!!
Yes I think polin was very short this season.
Beautiful …perfect description of Colin!
I feel exactly the same way, and it is so reassuring to see and hear my own feelings and thoughts represented so clearly here, by you. Thank you!! :)
Me encantó. Hermoso.
The production and writers hate Colin for no reason and no one can change my mind about that.
Definitely 😂, since s1 with the Marina plot and giving more of his personality to Benedict, I still love show Colin, he is so misunderstood, I just wish we could watch more of him as a character and not just as an extension of Penelope
@@ru3144 Yeah.. i just feel like the writers do not get that silent type of character. Everyone has to be LOUD for them and I hate it 😭
S3’s love story is my favorite 🥰 This is a great video!
Thank you. I love so much this video! ❤
Agree. I think season 3 is so under appreciated. People will never understand the nuance and complex more reflecting back.
just read the books he's quite sweet.
A real shame because this season was stunning, and they both portrayed this very real love story so beautifully.
the result of Shonda deciding on adding multiple subplots...
AMOO TU ANALISIS. SI A TODOO🇦🇷💕👏🏼
Colin was amazing in the book. They should have followed the book more. The book was sooo much better.
THANK YOU. I love Colin so much.
the actor seems to have lost much weight to achieve that more 'rugged' look.
I don't think most people hate the character as much as the poorly-written script the actor got, given he was supposed to be a lead character.
To me they should have taken the bits they already had from the previous seasons and fuse it with what’s still “salvageable” from book Colin (not much because he was such a red flag but at least some small bits) and then mix it up with what they had in mind for him, not just give him a 180 degree-change because he was already lovable before, and the fact that they just left it there to sink in, didn’t do much for me I guess
besides the jealousy of lady whistledown, colin is the leading man with the least red flags yet people dislike him the most for some reason
I am scared that they are going to give Colin’s live confession to Benedict. The I love you with my past, my future for the years we will have together and the children we will have together for ever one of my smiles and even more for everyone of yours
Completely agree ❤❤❤
Ok but foot in mouth syndrome like when he says he will never court Penelope featherington or when he says she entrapped him. There’s sensitive and then there’s cruel. I don’t think he needed more screen time if he was gonna say more dumb shit.
I love him just in S3🤣
i wish they didn't change him :((
I still think S2 and Kanthony were better
Go watch them then why are you watching this video
So spot on! It is exactly what I thought too! 😩🤌🏼✨
