The one thing missing from this beautiful video is my favorite moment at the wedding. The curtain opens, Portia is walking Penelope down the aisle, Penelope looks afraid and Colin nods his head toward her as if to say, "No, baby, we ARE doing this! Come to me!" And Penelope finally smiles and her confidence is back. I love that little moment.
People saying he's the least romantic protagonist in the series 🤡 bro, Colin is declaring his love for Penelope to anyone who wants to listen at all damn moments. He only talks about his wife, he only thinks about his wife, he lives for his wife. His world is his wife 🤧
I can’t stand anyone blackmailing my wife 😂😂. Portia is happy to see finally one of them ladies have a hero husband. Because Portia, philipa, prudence their husband are soft😂😂
All they want to see is sex and boobs. I’ve watched a lot of reactions all of them talking about lot. Not focused for one second in the conversations. They piss me Off
I don’t get the love for Kate and Anthony. It’s starts as an affair and they are so bitter and cruel with each other. Colin and Pen are just so soft and genuinely in love with one another. Their first love scene was so achingly sweet and tender. Broke my heart and put it back together - it’s that pure first love we all have.
I dont think that's it. It's the lack of time they got together or sepreate in their own season and they dereved better. They have both been on the fringes of tge story for the most part snd they needed more time in the spotlight.
Sobbing because when he is pouring his heart out to her at the end and tells her if his only purpose in life is to love her then he will be fulfilled is a direct callback to 1) Fife's comment in ep. 4 when he asks about the girls of summer and says "I'm sure they made your trip quite fullFILLING" as Colin is realizing his friends are awful people and is in literal shambles wrestling with his feelings for Pen, and 2) his search for a sense of purpose since S1 but especially S2 and everything coming full circle to where he has realized Pen is all he really ever needed because she loves him for who he is at his core and always has. Pen finally has someone in her corner and Colin is content with being himself and not the fake persona he was putting on in the first episodes of S3. This season really delivered in every way possible 😭😭
It's also a call back to what Portia said to Penelope that all of her (Pen's) fulfillment would come through her husband. And, instead, we hear her husband telling her his fulfillment is simply in being the one who gets to love her.
I love how you overlaid the "Oh no" when they met in the street the night before their wedding and we began to see his envy appear. Then, the sexual tension was just too much and he was all over her😂. Loved your comments there as well "bro, you are supposed to be mad at her", it is too much, i was in tears with laughter.
He's the best and objectively the most romantic lead, people who say otherwise simply do because he's not loud like Simon or Anthony which for me personally is very frustrating.
Easily the most romantic and sweetest of the Bridgerton boys. I think people don't like him because they don't find him as attractive as Simon or Anthony was, or because they found him less passionate because he tends to overthink and get inside his own head rather than get loud and angry like Anthony does. Anyway I loved this season the most! ❤
The fact so many don’t like Colin explains why they also miss out in their every day lives if there’s no added drama or toxicity lol. I love Colin. I love Penelope. I’d be lying if I said I am as exited for any other season, but I will watch them in turn. This was just MY STORY ❤
It bugs me that everyone attributes Colin's issues in the last two episodes to a "fragile ego." His 'ego' has been under assault the entire time we've known him, since season 1. He has such low self-worth, and because of that an ingrained belief that he needs to do something to earn or deserve love. Combine that with the incredibly high view he has of Penelope, and of course he struggles. He already saw her as out of his league, and now he finds out that she's not only the amazing woman he already knew and loved, but also a renowned writer with her own personal fortune. So what could he possibly bring to the table to deserve her love? "Then what good am I to you?" isn't a fragile ego... it's him being scared. If Penelope doesn't need him in any of the traditional ways (providing for and protecting her), and he can't prove himself to her with his writing (imagine proudly showing your short stories to your partner, only to find out later that they write under the pen name Stephen King), why would she ever love him? He's terrified of losing her... hence why he folds immediately when she says she loves him. Consider when he took over the conversation about what to do about Cressida's blackmail. He was absolutely wrong to do so, no arguments here. But it wasn't his ego being out of control. It was him desperately searching for something, anything, he could do to help her... to prove his usefulness. His failure in that, and even making things worse, only pushed him lower still. You can see this all playing out in their final conversation before the climactic ball. His question of "Then how am I meant to help you?" and her answer of "It's not what you do for me that makes me love you" demonstrate the crux of his character arc. It's such a shame that so many people just stick him in the "privileged man who needs to get over himself" box, without ever bothering to look deeper, because his story is subtle but really powerful. This even accounts for his obliviousness to Penelope's feelings for the first two seasons. First of all, as the audience, we see so much that Colin never sees, like Penelope watching him from afar at a ball, or talking about him with other people when he's not present. So we shouldn't expect it to be as obvious to him as it was to us. But also, he doesn't recognize her infatuation because he would never assume that someone loved him that way. We see the same thing in Penelope when she's completely shocked at his declaration in the carriage, despite how Colin's practically been drooling over her since their kiss. But it never even occurred to her that he would feel the same way. So she re-writes and re-interprets all the signs in her head, assuming they must mean something else. And this is what he's been doing with her all along. Of course Penelope isn't in love with him... all those things she says and does are just because she's his friend. But once again, we find Penelope totally relatable in her insecurities, while we write off Colin as being stupid for doing the exact same thing. This happens over and over this season. Colin and Penelope do exactly the same thing, but she's relatable while he's an idiot. He makes a comment in a private conversation that hurts her feelings and the internet will never forgive him. She lays all his insecurities bare in front of the entire ton as Whistledown, and is not only defended but celebrated for it. She's insecure about his love and we want to hug and reassure her. He's insecure about her love and we roll our eyes at his fragile male ego. When she's upset at him, we've got her back and want her to let him have it. When he's upset at her, he's just being stupid and needs to get over it. She gives him the cold shoulder for a year for that one comment, and we support her. He takes all of a week or two to come to terms with ALL the baggage that comes with her being Whistledown, and we talk all condescendingly about him, like "oh, he finally got there." My man Colin gets a raw deal. He's not the bumbling doofus with a generic overinflated male ego everyone seems to think he is. He's a genuinely good guy, with flaws, insecurities, and trauma like everyone else, who actually handles everything this season throws at him surprisingly well, when you really think about it. They have such a beautiful love story, and are actually on a similar journey, each in their own unique ways. Both admire and love the other desperately, and feel unworthy of them. Both need to learn that they themselves are worthy of love, including the parts that society doesn't accept. I love that their story is each of them building the other up and teaching them that they don't need to do or be anything but themselves to be loved. And when they've both finally learned that lesson, they come together with nothing left between them. It's beautiful! Absolutely my favorite season so far. I can't imagine that any future seasons will be able to top it.

This is hilarious and lovely. I can’t stop watching this season. I only ever watch things once over normally, maybe twice. I enjoyed all the other seasons plus queen Charlotte but I’ve watched this season 4 to 5 times plus all of the videos on UA-cam, conversations on threads, Reddit & gifs on tumblr 😊 . I can’t get enough. In my Rubenesque era identifying very much with pen (albeit a tad older 😉 ) and swooning over lovely Colin and them together. There’s something so touching in a simple romantic love and representation matters.
0:38 gagged me bcs in the book, he wasn't even SURE if the intense sense of longing, care, desire, etc that he felt for Pen was even love BECAUSE he thought love was supposed to strike you like a "thunderbolt from the sky". i LOVE how the writers referenced that in the show (im a nerd, srry)
❤❤❤ love love Colin and Penelope's story, soooo romantic and beautiful in so many other ways 😍 ❤ they grow through their characters, and also with each other. I have always loved the stories of friendship to love ❤ and quiet intimacies within the relationship too ❤
Loved this!!! And we get to see them next season with a substantial subplot and in their wedded bliss era! I love your video and I love them so much!! Their love is everything. Even the way that you felt the love even when he was upset.
S3 writers were lazy. Leftovers rehashed from S1. Simon and Daphney made love even when they were upset. Simon pretended not to love D but all she had to do was look into his eyes and He was speechless. Similar to Pen, Cressida tried to blackmail Daphney, Mama B knew D loved Simon and not the Prince, and once again, the Queen of England was busy hunting a gossip columnist (I wondered, who was running the country - George?). All the redundancy aside, I absolutely related to the warm way the love story of S3 unfolded. Colin was not a “catch” like the Duke, in fact, the real catch was Pen. She was a G-damn goddess - clever, fearless, persistent, clear on her feelings, supportive, beautiful breast, she had a Colin magnet between her legs, was rich from her own right, and made a beautiful baby boy. S3 was too heavy on the importance of the Bridgerton name. A Vicount is so low on the peerage ladder, one from the bottom so why all the overdone fuss about being a Bridgerton? The Earl, Lord KilMartin is of higher rank than a Vicount. And if they knew what Bi-Benedict been doing with their name - well they would have spasms! I hope no one missed the fact that Pen loved Eloise deeply but El was about as obtuse as Colin. Downright nasty. But Pen was ride or die with both Colin and Eloise. Personally, I would have chosen Lord Debling. He was a smooth, grown-ass man; not a confused man-child. I would have waited every 3 years for that man to come home from the jungle and we would have been Tarzan and Jane! This edit of S3 is beautiful. Thank you. I wish Colin and Pen and that cute big, head baby well, but I’m like the Queen, Colin unmasked himself and became humble but I will be watching that he remain so!
I’m a dude and this is without a doubt 100% the most romantic lead and couple so far The ENTIRE CONFESSION SCENE IS WHAT MOST MEN DREAM OF And the. He literally doesn’t back down until he finds out she’s whistle down and EVEN THEN HES LIKE “NO ONE BLACKMAILS MY WIFE!” Or “Then how am I to help you!” And we can’t forget “Then what use am I to you!!”
Can we all just acknowledge that Pen gave him space to process. Only after running into him and him bringing it up, did they discuss it. He made no excusess for her behaviour, only explained it and acknoleged that it was wrong. She even pitched up at the wedding not knowing if he would actually marry her. This is from a woman's mind. IYKYK.
Best season in my opinion. Certainly my favorite. So we'll done. All of it. The characters are realistic, the town is realistic, the family dynamics are realistic, the constant ups and downs are realistic. This was the least fictitious season and the most enjoyable to experience. I'm looking forward to the plot-driven narrative of season 4. I have no idea what whistledown is going to become, I have no idea what Colin is going to do with his secret writing (they are literally the same person if you think about it). I want more Polin, and baby Elliott, and Eloise being Eloise, and Benedict finding a legitimate meaningful goal. I also want to see Bollywood Bridgerton in India. I also want to see how Lady Bridgerton goes through courtship. I also want to see what the Queen is going to do to secure the crown. There's just so much yet to be experienced... do we know if we're getting a season 5 or Polin spin-off? I need Bridgerton to be like the live-action Simpsons or SpongeBob and never actually be over.
I love the Penelope and Colin story because it’s my story. I married my best friend’s brother, except I didn’t love him from the moment I met him. He became one of my good friends during all the time I spent at his house. We only looked at each other as romantic partners after his aunt said he should think about dating me, and my sister said I’d be perfect for him. Fifty-two years ago, after three and a half years of dating, we got married. On our wedding day my mom said it felt like I was marrying my brother. I assured I didn’t see him in that way at all. We’ve been each other’s best friends from our first date. His aunt and my sister were absolutely correct.
So much is replicated from S1 - the secret of Simon, the tough, rake Simon quitting Daphney, the dance, the dream, the Prince showing an interest to make Simon jealous, …so much redundancy and of course the woman “saving” the male lead from his stupidity! But damn, Colin was Simon and Anthony wrapped into one hella sexy, sensitive, protective, simple being. I will have some of what Pen is having, thank you very much!
If you told me Luke Newton was actually a set of octuplets living as one actor, I would believe you, because he looks slightly different in every scene he’s ever shot. And only some of that is attributable to the $5 reshoots wig.
There's that one flat looking wig that I want to literally burn. And, yes, he does look different all the time. I have looked the same since I was 5 years old; so not fair.
Yes. Right? While Nicola literally looks the same, yes, hair, makeup, clothing transformed her to "womanhood" but she still looks the same. Throughout the season the shots of Colin (and some bad makeup days along with bad hair) had me asking " Which Colin do we get to see now?"
@@eu-wandaeagans5770 Yes, and the worst ones were the ones where it was supposed to be the same day in the same outfit. In the wedding scenes, after the Queen leaves and he follows Pen out to the foyer, he suddenly has the weird wig that is completely different hair length and texture. I get that they need to use wigs, but many of the women (including Penelope and Francesca) wear a wig in every shot, and they take the time to make them at least look good, if not always 100% believable as the actor’s own hair. The whole reason he had to wear a wig in some shots is because he had cut his hair, but the wig is still not the right style, anyway! I feel like they made a hair budget for the season without a penny to spare and didn’t account for any of the men needing extra attention to their hairpieces. It was like 90% Queen, 10% All Other Women, and “Colin, we got this at the Halloween store. Let us know if you need help with which side is the front.” 😂 Oh! And they also light his face in a way that flattens it completely in the first kiss scene, and I keep squinting to make out recognizable features so I can believe that’s actually Colin about to kiss her. 😅
Why did you not inlcude him saying "I proposed to her out of love, nothing less" and "I will always stand up for you, because I love you, Pen" and him saying he's too in love to concentrate on his manuscript at the final Mondrich club drink and the fight with Eloise where he says he's so in love and she doesn't want to hear it and his speech to Cressida and wow, there's so many moments
Okay, so Kate and Anthony was my favorite but there were certain scenes and moments where Colin confesses his love for Penelope where it had me SWOONING nearly switching lanes 😂❤
The amount of times he says he loves her 🥹 any chance he gets to absolutely anyone 💖 I love him so much that I literally giggle and kick my feet at night 😂
I will defend Colin my wife bridgerton with all of my might 😭💕 My polin literally saved my hope for true love 😂❤ Yes bi benedict I have been waiting since season one 😭🤌🏻🥲

I’m a dude and this is without a doubt 100% the most romantic lead and couple so far
The ENTIRE CONFESSION SCENE IS WHAT MOST MEN DREAM OF
And the. He literally doesn’t back down until he finds out she’s whistle down and EVEN THEN HES LIKE
“NO ONE BLACKMAILS MY WIFE!”
Or
“Then how am I to help you!”
And we can’t forget
“Then what use am I to you!!”
He loves so deeply
I’m honestly so happy that both of them are returning for season 4! I was worried it would be a Simon basset case ☺️
This has made me cry so damn much. I know have the video that can make me cry on command. Love your edit well done!
You're a genius!!! These are all so funny!
Colin is very sweet, and is wonderful man,❤❤
Unfortunately this has only just come up on my feed but I ❤ it IMMEDIATELY.
Your elephant counter brought me back to the books 📚 where Cressida calls Penelope a baby elephant 🐘
This montage was great! Well done!
I’ve been waiting for your part 3! Great job 😂😂
Let us know if you need help with which side is the front.” 😂
Oh! And they also light his face in a way that flattens it completely in the first kiss scene, and I keep squinting to make out recognizable features so I can believe that’s actually Colin about to kiss her. 😅
@@Cab1726 you are so right it is hilarious!
@@eva_vert8942 exactly that! If I included everything the video would’ve been wayyyy too long lol
@@forgemakesstuff2734 I still would've watched it beginning to end though 😊
Okay, so Kate and Anthony was my favorite but there were certain scenes and moments where Colin confesses his love for Penelope where it had me SWOONING nearly switching lanes 😂❤
My ex wanted me to dim my light just so he could shine brighter …. and that’s why he’s my EX …. Ugh!!!! Where’s my Colin 😢
More time to read the texts on the screen would be nice. I loved the context of the video.
The only problem with this video is the mirror scene is omitted. Lol
Yeah I didn’t feel like testing UA-cam lol
Very well done. Thank you
The amount of times he says he loves her 🥹 any chance he gets to absolutely anyone 💖 I love him so much that I literally giggle and kick my feet at night 😂
I will defend Colin my wife bridgerton with all of my might 😭💕
My polin literally saved my hope for true love 😂❤

Well done!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve come to realize I wanted more groveling during his last speech to her. Sometimes when I watch it I feel it is not enough
Nobody and I mean NOBODY could tell me that at 4:57 Penelope does not look a lot like Daphne-
Not historically accurate...
Gentlemen Jack would like to disagree.
