- Hello everyone!
For this episode of our #HealingPsoriasis series, we’ll talk about the foods we should avoid and why we should avoid them so we can manage our Psoriasis. I also included substitutes for each food group so it would be easier for you to eliminate them in your diet.
I hope you find this video helpful.
Happy healing,

I am clearing for the first time since first diagnosed over thirty years ago. I avoid no special trigger foods. Main changes: vitamin D supplementation (10,000 I.U. with 100 mcg K2 [as MK-7]), keto/low-carb + intermittent fasting (4-hr window.) I lost 25lbs over the course of three months, following keto. Keeping the weight off doing low-carb, my BMI is now 25 (best I've seen in perhaps twenty years.)
I eat lots of salmon, eggs & fatty fish, so I might skip vitamin D supplements on days when dietary intake is high. Instead of soda, I drink flavored carbonated water -- adding vodka or gin instead, when I might otherwise have a beer. I also take B complex (as B-50), cod liver oil and methyl folate regularly. I might take a vitamin A supplement weekly (be careful when supplementing this one!)
Given all these changes, it's hard to say exactly what's working. My research suggests that improved D status helps bolster the immune system and lower inflammation. Keto/low-carb also lowers inflammation (and is incidentally gluten-free.)
More than anything, I believe that by dramatically lowering insulin demand, low-carb & intermittent fasting have helped me overcome insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome, as well as improve the health of my gut biome.
All I can say is that anyone who struggles with losing weight, you must try going sugar-free for at least three weeks, just to see the differences. Keto, IMHO, is unrealistic as a lifestyle diet -- but it's amazing as a therapeutic intervention.
that's how i healed my psoriasis too. but i took 30,000iu vit d3, magnesium, and b12.. i use intermittent diet and only eat white rice and fish + leafy vegetables. every fkng day and my skin improved in one week.. i avoid sugar, nght shade, gluten, dairy, lectin and coffee.. now im fully healed.
That's amazing!
How long did you have to stay on keto to reverse psoriasis? How many grams of carbs/day did you have to consume?
Thank you. A couple hints that helped me a lot; use apple cider vinegar either pills or liquid form. Stay hydrated (water on hand), and avoid stress. 🥰
all those foods to avoid.. there are some of them that is my favorite.. 🥺 but i will try my best to avoid it.. very itchy skin is very frustrating .. i think this is the time to remind myself to avoid those.. thank you madam.. it's a very helpful topic for me.. i am also a psoriasis patient..
Not all saturated fats are bad. Macadamia, coconut, Acai, I love.
Also the fatty acids are different in goat dairy Vs cow dairy. Goat & sheep contains MCTs which are extremely beneficial. Also the proteins are different, cow is A1, goat is A2.
I found goat cheese and whey very important good effect for me. But never cows. Grass fed only.
Grains, nightshades and beans are inflammatory for me.
Btw many remote tribes use goat dairy. The Masai use dairy. It’s an extremely nutrient dense product, you can’t get bioavailable D3 & K2 from plant milks, sorry but fact. Plus some ppl can’t handle oxalates. Sugar is a problem too.
Soy is terrible for thyroid too. 💀
Thank you for this information!
Can I ask if you used a food sensitivity blood test to find out your foods that worked/didnt? Ive tried elimination diet but its very hard & did not really help me figure too much out...I even kept a food journal.
Had blood tested for vitamin deficiencies also & even added some supplements & probiotics to help balance gut.
Ive heard about goats milk and the A1/2 differences also. Very interesting!
Thank you for this invitation 👍🏼 make a video!
I recommend to read "No Association Between Coffee and Caffeine Intake and Risk of Psoriasis in US Women". Coffee (caffeine) is not that bad. For some people it will be inflammatory, for others antiinflammatory. It depends. Don't forget that cup of tea or chocolate also have caffeine.
I LOVE YOU PO THANK YOU POOO!!! I've been suffering psoriasis since i was in 4th grade! it cleared out during my first year of highschool, that was when i was completely STRICT with my diets! but then i went back from my old diet and it flamed again I'm now in 9th grade, and it's turning 2021 soon, and I'll go on diet again! Thank you thank you thank you po!! You inspire me alot! 💗
I’m glad I can share whatever I can. You are very welcome and thank you so much for watching! See you on my next videos! 🧡
@@aligninspire Im watching your videos!Hope to heal soon naturally:)
@@mackthol Hi Mark, Good to hear from you! It can take some time (it did for me!) But a good sign is when you start feeling generally just better and more energetic and see results on the skin! wishing you the best
@@aligninspire I hope so,I always watching that video.Your calm face and voice make's me inspired all the time.
I ate nothing but red meat and my psoriasis cleared up completely, I had no more brain fog, fatigue and my depression got better. Its also worked for UFC fighter Chad Mendes and Jordan Peterson also, plus I know other people who have used fatty cuts of red meat to successfully clear up their Psoriasis.
Hello How long did it take before you saw results? Did healing happened slowly and constantly or did you have a few flares up once in a while during your diet?
I have been on organic grassfed ketovore for 7 months but no result so far. Actually its a little worst
Thank you very much
@@c.bastien8437 Hi, I'm just on Keto again after about a year. I don't know why I stopped in the first place. But after a few days my psoriasis already got better as in the first time I did it. If you don't, you should also avoid spices like chili, pepper and so on. No vegetable oil and nightshades. I also try to heal my gut with lots of cabbage other beneficial foods and apple cider vinegar. Good luck!
I forgot to mention that I also do intermittent fasting, four to five hour window. I really want to get rid of it 😄
similar experience, every day I eat red meat, fish and eggs. I am doing this for 2 months and great results with my psoriasis.
@@c.bastien8437it’s all lies don’t believe him
Hi Most of info of the video is good and very helpful. Animal fat (meat) has mostly saturated fat. Milk fat also contains mostly saturated and mono unsaturated fat, only 2-3 % is polyunsaturated. There are many other factor that triggers psoriasis could be present in milk such as casein. Similarly meat could be hard to digest by some individuals as you indicated.
Thanks for your video.
Also, what you held up was a big mug. A mug is simply a cup w a handle on the side for drinking coffee or tea.
Maraming salamat po Philinne. I found your video very helpful. I'm trying to convince my pinoy asawa to eat quinoa or brown rice instead of the white ones, she seems okay with that😊
I am surprised that you are not including Gluten.
Lately every podcast I have seen about anti-inflammatory diet and psoriasis diets have all mentioned that gluten is a BIG factor and must be avoided.
For me... wheat really makes my psoriasis worst...it gives me very itchy and big flaky dandruff in my scalp...now im 41 yo...i guess i have psoriatic arthritis..
she mentioned white flour in the video which is the main source of most part of gluten products
Did you ever get an MRT test ((Mediator Release Test))? To see what foods your body is sensitive to? The things you are sensitive are different and are based on how healthy your gut is. If you are lacking good bacteria in your gut your stomach lining will be irritated and your body will absorb larger particles and are then seen as a foreign object and the body attacks them and that is how you become sensitive to various foods. So gut health I think is key in your journey. I agree with avoiding nighshade and processed foods. Wish you would have talked about vitamins and good fats to use.
You are right about white rice i love it. I have replaced with quinoa.
Hello have anyone heard of Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam channel he cured me permanently from psoriasis with herbal remedy..
Thank you for this valuable information. It's tough to change. I have scalp psoriasis as well as some on my body. Mostly the scalp is worrisome for me as I can't seem to stop the flakes. My scalp always feels so dry. Can you suggest some ideas?
hello maam your video is really good and includes all necessary information.. my friend is a very old patient of psoriasis and his condition was very stable after avoiding things one should avoid and also was on planet ayurveda medication.. both of these things really helped me..
Excellent presentation indeed. Clear and easy to follow; 💯❤👍
Thank you so much! 💖
Thanks for sharing.. I'm going to send this video to my Tita who's now suffering from her severe psoriasis.
Thank you so much po! ❤️
Thank you girl. Mas naiintindihan ko na ngayon kung bakit lumala psoriasis ko. Which is lately ko lng nalaman as in days pa lng😢. Sad kasi 2010 pa pla to, pinatagal ko pa mgpacheck sa dermatologist kaya dko alam ung mga bagay at pgkain na dapat iwasan.
Plz list items that are allowed to eat. So we can eliminate everything else. It will be easier
Trying the AIP Diet has been extremely helpful in clearing up my psoriasis. A lot of people with our condition should avoid nightshade vegetables.
I’m really keen on trying AIP diet. I’m glad it worked for you. I agree we should avoid the nightshade family. Happy healing! ❤️
I’d love the gut bacteria video!
Live in conformable atmosphere and free from stress. Be calm and peaceful. Many illnesses will be disappeared from you. Eat healthy live healthy
My Dr. Allow me to eat red meat specialy pork, I am just moderating my beef intake. I am also eating shrimp and some night shade vegtable, my Dr. is allowing me to eat everything in moderation.
Eating meat, raw eggs and raw dairy helped my psoriasis. I eliminated gluten and all processed foods. I only eat Whole Foods, mostly meat, eggs, raw dairy, berries/abocado.
Very well explained God bless you.
Please let me know which fruits to avoid eating.
Can we take fermented food
It’s so interesting how different people are when it comes to gut health. My friend healed his psoriasis by consuming most of his calories through heavy cream (dairy) and fatty meats (red meat).
Of course, not processed dairy. Just heavy cream, eggs, and butter. Those are his staples.
He avoid sugar I gues?
I’m guessing your friend is doing a keto diet which is a good option to reverse gut health problem.
Doing alright on heavy cream, meat leafy greens flare up calming down
Talk to a Doctor in Integrative medicine about the AIP Diet.
The doctor said I have psoriasis but I cannot eat any Dairy Products and Nightshades. I also noticed I cannot eat chicken and eggs.
Just listen to your body. Happy healing! ❤️
Daily product means yogurt as well?
@@maheshtanay For me, yes
Likewise 👍, I observed that if I will it chicken & eggs, my psoriasis will flare up….
Suggest ko sis sa next video mga foods naman na pwede sa Psoriasis. Nkaka refresh at motivate. thank you😊💕
Thank you so much for the suggestion sis! And for the kind words, too! I will do a video on that sis. 😍
This is very challenging but is definitely worth it. Diet/lifestyle change is really the key to healing. Thanks for this! 😃
Agree! I made a video called: How to treat psoriasis according to science - How I cleared my psoriasis. It cites all the research I used to clear my psoriasis after 11 years and have been cleared for 4 years. Love to all my psoriasis fam. Hope this can help someone else.
Love the amazing tips Philinne. Thank you so much for sharing❤
Thank you so much. First of all you are so sweet pretty and wise. Good presentation of this video. Out of sight out of mind, totally agree 👍. Will try my new diet, can't wait. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
Actually, it is wrong to say that red meet stays for two days in the stomach. Any food will leave your stomach in 2 to 4 hours, depending on what kind of food it will be and in what quantity. Exception might be a case when you have had duodenal ulcer and in result of healing the opening of pylorus would get narrow due to scaring.
Hello have anyone heard of Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam channel he cured me permanently from psoriasis with herbal remedy..
May be for you. but what she said is correct. for many people it won't
@@yesk2318 what it won't?
@@yesk2318 Are you a patient?
If you got rid of the fish, chicken and the cream cheese than you'd basically be whole food plant based which is what cleared me up 👍
Air Fryer food at lower temperature fish at 300 or 325
A lot of people improve with carnivore. how you explan this?
Can patients with psoriasis eat eggs? I've got mixed messages; some researchers said it's good (rich in vitamins such as A,B5, B12, Selenium, Phosphorus; Omega 3 fatty acid), while others mentioned it caused inflammation therefore it is bad for psoriasis. What do you think?
Egg can flare it more so don't eat egg😅
What about cheese
@@mcinnocent6482 no you should eat eggs. Your giving false information
It depends Anthony. Some people with psoriasis cannot eat eggs, and some people can. I can eat eggs no problem, but cheese (and other dairy) will flare me up.
I've been dealing with psoriasis for 9 months now and nothing prescribed by doctors has worked yet.
I recently found these kind of info and i stopped drinking milk one week ago :(, no cheese and now i Will put all hot-spicy food away.
Still not sure about eggs.
TY for doing this content.
Wow what a great video, this was ver helpful. Thanks for giving us the list
TY for the info.
Anyone knows why psoriasis itches during the night? During day hours it's ok and easy but when i got ti bed it's like it gets active.
I'd like to know why too. I have psoriasis on my feet and wake up a lot at night with my feet itching and burning like crazy. Nothing helps...it's so frustrating.
@@RachelM603 i have the same.. i have it under my feet and even on my hands.. just want to ask, how’s yours? Is it healing now? Thanks…🤗
@@lepons4837 I've been diagnosed with pustular psoriasis and have it on the bottoms of my feet and on my fingers. I've been prescribed steroid creams and they help a bit, sometimes I go a week and it's not bad and then another week where it's nasty. I'm under a lot of stress at this time which doesn't help my condition. My doc wants to prescribe me methotrexate but I'm very hesitant to take it as it's a powerful drug and the side effects don't sound good. Time will tell though I might just have to bite the bullet and take it 😬.
How is yours doing? Be well..take care 🤗
Thanks so much! Very informative. I need this. 🙏🙋♀️
Thank you for sharing ma'am! Very enlighting info. Supporting and watching from macau 🇲🇴.
One thing to note about psoriasis w.r.t diet is that there is no one size fits all. While some food items are a big no, the rest vary from person to person.
If you can't handle the mushiness of tofu, try Tempeh.
Did you research this or did you just thought it up from your own experience?
What about gluten?
Ano dapat yung kainin kapag ikaw ang psoriasis patients po. Thank you

So brown rice is okay? What about beans
Yes brown rice is ok. Beans is ok, too. Just keep an eye if it’s affecting your Psoriasis.
Garlic and onions and mushrooms ok
Great video. Any chance of a list of foods you CAN have rather than the ones you cannot.
Hi! I have a video about it. Please check my latest video. Cheers! ❤️
I was just diagnosed with psoriasis. I have it on the back of my knees and the inside of my elbows. I also have it in my scalp, where it is much more severe. I’m hoping to get better along with the creams I was given.
sana you learn to accept it , sadly it will there forever kaya might as well live with it. mas lalo nagiging worst pag na stress ka. wag ka mahihiya kasi di ka nakakahawa but its the other way around kasi sila ang manghahawa sa atin ng mga buni at an an nila. pray always because miracles do happen.
I was told I had psoriasis 5 years ago. I was on medication which helped lovely but as soon as I would stop using it it got worse. I weened myself off because the medication can cause birth defects and I just never felt comfortable with that even in my system because what if it stores in my fat? The cream was great but is known to thin skin. I stay away from bread, grains , dairy and limit fried foods. Mostly fruits and here I am doing good. I got psoriasis on my back ,and under my breast and it went away without medication. It wasn’t severe but would worsen depending on how I’m living. Also ceravé with the light blue lid makes a difference
No wonder I have This issue thank You need something for my coffee ☕️
What about butter? Is that something i can still cook with
I would suggest stick to low fat butter. But if you have access to vegan butter, that’s better. That’s what I use in cooking (and baking) and it tastes 100% like butter but plant-based. 😊
Butter is dairy. Shop for vegan butter
You could cook with coconut oil.
Thank you for this. I will start my diet today. God bless you 😇
Thank you so much for watching! 💙
How’s your skin now?
What about alcohol
We can eat brown rice or quinoa ?
Thank you so much for these important tips and information
Salamat kaau ani na info mam.. Godbless..
i have psoriasis for 41 years since i was 8years old. i have chronic ones in my elbows, knees and legs. there are times i have flare ups. your suggestion is good but you have to live too. i got tired of oral and injectible steriods, ointments and other medical treatments. pahid pahid na lang ako ng vco now and so far so good. no flare ups for more than 2 decades already. the food you suggested not to eat are too many to mention. Those foods are foods that our body needs too. we have auto inmune disease. we need those food to keep our body healthy. i do not believe that those food will harm us esp the tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant and the nightingale foods. maybe let us just remove the processed and junk food then we will be fine.kung lahat bawal lalo tayong mag flare up kasi wala na tayong kakainin na masarap and healthy. nakaka stress!
Correct
Ano po yung pinapahid nyo na VCO?
Those foods you mentioned won't harm people without psoriasis. But usually are problematic for psoriasis sufferers
Good day po 😊 vitamin D supplements are fat solluble .. what can you suggest po ba na foods containing fat aside from pork or dairy products?
