Outrageous. Next thing you know children who are molested and given presents for their silence will be charged. The traffickers need to be under the jail and never get out.
That's completely messed up. Kidnapped children held against their will and forced to "perform" get charged while their kidnappers are let out to victimize more children. WTH
To be fair and verify, I researched and the criminalization of child prostitution does not appear to correlate with the political leaning of a state, likely since the issue is not as discussed like abortion is. For example, California, Florida, Georgia, and Washington never charge minors with prostitution, but Texas, New York, Massachusetts, and Kansas carry few to no protections for minors against charges of prostitution.
@@BarracusObamus That guess does not appear logical. Why would higher rates of child trafficking cause a state to carry less protections for minors against charges of prostitution operated by their child traffickers? If anything, higher rates would increase its relevancy and the incentive for legislators to address the issue.

A lawyer should take this and sue their asses.
This is nonsensical, sickening, infuriating... the list goes on.
Im astonished that this is real. I know there's an endless amount of insane laws in this country but this goes beyond what I thought was possible.
Sue the state using age of consent laws.
I've always said that. The trackers and the Johns get away with a slap in the wrist. Tell me this gov isn't evil!!!!
Wow. In all my years of learning about trafficking, I did NOT know about states charging children for prostitution! That's insane! This needs to be front-page news!
This is a disgusting injustice. HALF of the states? We need change.
This is insane. Shame on the state.
The fact she stayed longer than her captors is craz, the fact she got charged is crazier
This is beyond heartbreaking 💔Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏❤
It takes work to be able to explain such horrendous things in a calm manner🙌🏼
It was probably years ago, but still
@@Narra0002 it's still extremely traumatic, even if it happened 20+ years ago she probably has ptsd from it
@@ril_eyy fair. I didn’t think of that
@Narra0002 i mean just look at some veterans that experienced war. A lot of them can never talk about it. Even if it's 70y ago.
I still can't do that this well, this woman is a saint
I hope everyone in that justice system recives that injustice ten fold.
Wow, absolutely disgusting they did this to her. Worse, almost, than the traffickers!!!😢
Outrageous. Next thing you know children who are molested and given presents for their silence will be charged. The traffickers need to be under the jail and never get out.
And than they wonder why traffic girls think their pimp can provide better for them than the system. This is so disheartening
JC the judicial system is a dumpster fire!!
It is only 19 states, some of them including Ohio, New Jersey, and New York. That is horrific, someone needs to change these laws!
THIS is what patriarchy looks like.
And people think the Justice system is without flaw… I’m so glad she got out
No one thinks it's without flaws.
Wow that is horrible that they gave her no resources. Utterly disgraceful. DC
That's completely messed up. Kidnapped children held against their will and forced to "perform" get charged while their kidnappers are let out to victimize more children. WTH
Probably the same kind of state that would force her to have a baby as a child herself if she was impregnated.
Unfortunately
Probably not, the most trafficking is happening in big cities and along borders. New York, California, etc.
@@BarracusObamus yup, but getting graped by people of color and dems does not count as beeing graped.😅
This is why women and girls in this country need to get defense training and have our gaurd up. That is plainly not justice.
I personally wanna say im sorry for the things you have had to endure and those who relate to your story. Because we all know that you aren't the only missing child being passed around😡 and we all need to stand up for them.
How is something like this even possible, I’am speechless and outraged at the same time. 😢
What happened to her is devastating and such a miscarry of justice.
This country is declining. Lawmakers aren't even thinking about the laws they pass anymore.
There is no reason a person trafficked should have any sentence let alone a higher sentence than a trafficker. How and why is this possible. It’s shameful
So scary, no one especially kids don't deserve this horrific experience. Prayers for kids.
Makes you question the lawmakers and government, who do they want protected? What do they want to stop and what do they want to continue? It’s never been a system of justice, but a legal system... which should be completely rebuilt. So sorry for this woman’s suffering and so many others 😔
How can any “justice” system be this broken…it’s sad and honestly scary.
A while back, a great girl in our Bible study had to do a huge paper on trafficking and slavery today for a class. She practiced her speech on all of us. I don't think a single one of us could even speak for a while after. The numbers and facts just rip your heart out.
Ugh.....that's terrible!!😮 This government is so screwed up. 😡 That's why I say they turn thier heads and allow this crap to happen. The government is just as quilty. 😡😢
I never heard or knew that!! When are we going to grr et t serious about stopping this evil
charged CHILDREN for prostitution????? but children can’t consent??? 40 days for the child and only 10 days for the one that kidnapped and made children do things they cannot even consent to…
I don’t even know where to start…
As long as men make the rules, the expectation of accountability is laughable.
You said it
Because the people buying these girls are the same people that make our laws and get paid by our taxes😢😮
@@kenziehansen2424 Indeed. The same people taking their kids to Catholic Church on Sunday are protesting drag shows. The inbreeding is strong.
Men and psychopaths are not synonymous.
Ghislaine Maxwell
Sue!! Lawsuit..that's scape goating.
What! This is insane! She was a victim and treated like a criminal. This is exactly why our justice system is messed up. Real criminals get off easy, the victims suffer more.
Unbelievable...... how is this possibly the way a "justice system" works??? So incredibly ridiculous. 😡😡
What. The. Fukc.
I am shocked at this. This is absolutely heart shattering.
Brilliant example of the justice system! 👏
That's absolutely horrible and disgusting. That poor girl had to endure all that and think she's being freed only to be locked up and charged and locked up longer than the animals who did this to her. It's heartbreaking
Remember this and child marriage when people target drag shows and transgenderism. If politicians actually wanted to save children they could.
This is our justice system. Criminals are rewarded for committing crimes. I consider this a crime against humanity.
🎀This state needs to seriously relook at their laws because that she even got charged and got less than her abductees. Isn’t just ridiculous but also not a deterrent for them to never go it again. As their sentences were so small.🎀
That needs to change!!! That's awful. Wow 🤬😡🤬😡
You can tell by the level of courage the lady had to master prior to the interview. Truly gut wrenching😢
Wow! The judicial system is messed up
This is 🤬 up! Probably because those " in charge" are apart of it.
Absolutely ridiculous!
Wtf?!?! Punish children for being trafficked??? There is something seriously wrong with the world 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
True bravery on display. How painful it must be to speak out. Can’t even imagine.
The system is soooo fuggged 😢
That’s F***** up! 😢😡 I think the people that make these laws are going to have to answer to their maker!
What a despicable and broken justice system.
It’s not the justice system- it’s the legislature. Laws exist is 2/3 of states that explicitly do NOT criminalize the child victims of sex trafficking. Currently 11 states have zero protection/safe haven laws in place. The STATE CONGRESSMEN are the people WE the people need to be harassing to change the law.
