I thought Eric was kidding about having heart surgery but now I’m pretty sure he’s serious. Hope everything goes well!! On a lighter note - I loved this long video😍
"One clove of, oh, pardon me, one HEAD of garlic" - the most on brand Sarah thing to say 😂 Also - a tip from a Mediterranean girl over here, you can 'grill' the eggplant straight on the stove top, just open fire. It's a little bit messy, but less time consuming than the grill. Plus you get that smoky flavor. That's how the grandmas do it here. Lots of love to you from Israel ❤ (we just had our 3rd election, your vid is honestly the bright spot in this depressing day 🤦♀️)
Omg. I didn't even realize this video was 30 mins long until you said it was long in the outro. lol I love these style videos. They're so soothing to watch/listen to when I'm at work.
I'm not usually committed enough for long format videos, but we've all got nothing but time these days, so it's nice to watch something longer than 10 min, and I really enjoyed it. I also made babaganoush this week because we had the grill out since my wife wanted to BBQ, and I definitely prefer the flame charred over oven baked when possible. Also, it's still way to cold to BBQ in Germany, but again... nothing but time. 🤷♀️
I loved this video! The dinner cook-a-long reminded me of your videos from a couple of years ago. I really enjoy watching you make these "more involved" recipes
Loved this video! The first time I saw you on UA-cam it was a ‘cook with me’ video so I got nostalgic. I like it when Eric helps you in the kitchen too, it makes me happy to see you so cute and happy together 💛 By the way I will definitely be making this seitan, and if I’m feeling brave the pita bread too.
Love watching you two being so happy and silly together! I grew up on “buttered noodles” and “buttered rice.” To me those were comfort foods. Still eat them that way today.
Have you tried washing the flour yet? I can't remember if you have done that in another video. Anyway, I know it's an extra step but if you buy the flour in bulk I'm wondering if it would save you a few trips. Of course it's a trade off. I know you like making your own staples. That's the only reason I brought it up. I'm so happy you made this video. I've been thinking of making gyros with seitan for a long time but I haven't tried it yet.
Loved this one, it's so nice to see you cook these amazing things! You always make me feel like cooking all day! :) Thanks for the recipes too, too bad I can't make the seitan or pita bread because I can't have gluten - but it's still so nice to watch and the other recipes are amazing too! Also, you and Eric are just so lovely together. All the best for his upcoming surgery!
I made the chickwheat recipe seitan last week. It was better than I expected. I also make my own pita for when I make falafel. You can start the pita on the cast iron for maybe 30 seconds and finish it in the oven.
It's so comforting to see a what I wat in a day where a girl drinks alcocol and or coffe and promotes a healthy relationship with food. Thanks for being real!
Girl, major props to you for making this video during shark week. That's dedication. Everything looked superrrr yummy, btw. Always have enjoyed your vids, Sarah.
I used to always eat eggs and rice. I like my eggs soft so I would cook the rice and stir in raw eggs off the eat. The residual heat cooked them perfectly. Can’t wait to try it with my homemade, stevia-sweetened ketchup!
I noticed a thing when you were making tzatziki and thought I might share: I once read an article about immigrants from Vietnam in Poland - polish people peel their vegetables towards them, while vietnamese people (asians in general maybe…?) peel away from them, so those immigrants would notice their children become more and more polish when they started peeling veggies "our" way. It's a thing that I always remember when holding a peeler and I wonder how true it is?
I super recommend trying the Mississippi Vegan tofu bacon sometime. There is a ton of oil and sodium in it but it is so freaking good and such a treat.
I’m down for Eric’s smoothie show hahaha. Also have you tried putting the garlic cloves in a mason jar? Shake them really hard and they peel themselves 🤩
Girl you must try the rice paper bacon. I saw Candace Hutchings, the edgy veg, do it a few years ago and tried it immediately. Watch one of her videos because she’s updated it several times but you will love this. It is so easy and delicious and really satisfying. Love your channel!
I feel like since we come from similar backgrounds food wise, you’ll maybe know what I mean when I say that rice paper bacon tastes and feels like eating, disgustingly, the fatty part of fried short ribs. Please try it and let me know if this is so! Also, that garlic fried rice!! Takes me back!
Not related to this video but the yogurt reminded me of it.. I tried the kite hill plain greek yogurt the other day and it was SO BAD. I honestly almost threw it out but I hate wasting so I mixed it with a banana, maple syrup, and so much cinnamon I couldn’t taste the yogurt anymore 😅 Have you tried it?
The edgyveg just made the rice paper bacon, it Looks decent. Also they have this new vegan bacon seasoning that would be perfect for the marinade. Ita called Deliciou's Bacon Seasoning🥓
It's winter here as well and I've always put my rising dough in front of the stand alone heater I keep in my den lol the oven thing sounds way better than sitting my dough on a stool a couple feet away from my heater hahaha
Paragard is not hormonal, so you should be fine. I love my paragard IUD! She must’ve had a hormonal IUD, I remember her saying she was getting off of hormonal birth control
I was definitely a little bit irrationally upset that you threw out that whole head of garlic over a bad clove 😂 but I've also worked on a farm and know how much of a pain garlic growing/harvesting/drying/braiding is 🙃 But I get it, when in doubt throw it out ✨
YES GARLIC RICE FOR BREAKFAST WITH EGGS! lol I used to loooove that. I used to put leftover lumpia sauce (I'm guessing a sweet and sour) all over my eggs and rice lol
Middle eastern here, nobody really roasts the eggplants on a grill when making babaghanoush at home!! We do the exact same you did and it turns out fine! Loving these casual what I eat/vlogs and love seeing eric as well, good luck getting your batteries replaced bud
Try the daikon bacon!!!!! Check out Sauce Stache’s video! That’s where I got it from and it always turns out sooo good!! My favorite “bacon” so far!!! 🥓😋
Great content (as usual!) I enjoyed the longer vid. Sarah, I can't find the video where you made oatmeal with apples and dates...maybe it was overnight oatmeal??? Not sure. Please help!! I want to make it so bad! :)
i love the long form videos!! also as a chamorro person, i totally relate to eating fried rice for breakfast, except we always had spam in ours haha. i'm waiting for the day i find a good vegan spam substitute so i can make spam and titiyas, but i'm not so confident that's gonna happen 😂
This one's really long. 😂 I bit off a little more than I wanted to chew with the dinner plans, buuuut sometimes that's fun. 🥰 Have a great week!
I thought Eric was kidding about having heart surgery but now I’m pretty sure he’s serious. Hope everything goes well!!
On a lighter note - I loved this long video😍
Look guys; if you dont do an acoustic cover of the Guacamole song you're leaving your talent to waste.
I love how real your what eat in a day videos are! Also: we love a long video hahaha
yessss we love a 35 minute vlog. i've been meaning to make my own "tofurky" slices for a while and now i'm reinspired!
"One clove of, oh, pardon me, one HEAD of garlic" - the most on brand Sarah thing to say 😂

You’re comment’s so sweet! Nice tip about the stovetop grilling!
love this comment :) thanks for spreading your tips and advice! grandmas always know best. sending love from the U.S. to you
Omg. I didn't even realize this video was 30 mins long until you said it was long in the outro. lol I love these style videos. They're so soothing to watch/listen to when I'm at work.
yay!!! I commented on one of your instagram posts a while back about missing gyros! so happy you did a video on it 💜 Amazing video like always sarah!
Thank you for the seitan recipe! I've always been so intimidated by it and you made it look so easy!
I'm just wondering, would miso paste go well in the saitan in order to up the big U?
Either way, it looked soo good

I love how chill this video is! I’d love to see some food hauls

The way you chop things is so satisfying
Any substitute for the vegan bouillon cube if I don't have that on hand?
BTW, the best hummus and baba ganoush that is store bought is the Falafel King brand at Natural Grocers.
Please do a chat about having an iud and why it affected your digestion! I have one and have never heard of this.
👏🏻I’m impressed Sarah and inspired to make my own pita and seitan!
I truly loved this video and need to make that dinner ASAP for me and the boyfriend! Really love the longer format ;)
Ketchup on fried rice is AMAZING!
i love your what i eat in a day videos!! so many great meal ideas
I honestly love these videos. Totally realistic and relatable.
I used to always eat eggs and rice. I like my eggs soft so I would cook the rice and stir in raw eggs off the eat. The residual heat cooked them perfectly. Can’t wait to try it with my homemade, stevia-sweetened ketchup!
The opening song: "Guacamole Gua- Guacamole Gua- Guacamole "
Me: instant thumbsup.

"You and I are the same, we are a unit" 😆 cute!
I mix the Green Superfood powder with my matcha in my matcha lattes and it tastes pretty good!
Can’t wait to try that seitan recipe. Thanks for always giving us meal inspirations ❤️

Been loving these what I eat in a day videos!
You should do an updated video on all your supplements /vitamins 😊😊
I got those simple truth cookies a couple weeks ago and they're really good! It's in my freezer now but I'm resisting because of lent haha
I super recommend trying the Mississippi Vegan tofu bacon sometime. There is a ton of oil and sodium in it but it is so freaking good and such a treat.
The seitan recipe in the description says 1 teaspoon soy sauce then 2 teaspoons soy sauce. Is one of those meant to be liquid smoke?
I’m down for Eric’s smoothie show hahaha. Also have you tried putting the garlic cloves in a mason jar? Shake them really hard and they peel themselves 🤩
TEAM KETCHUP ON EVERYTHING!
These are my favorite kind of videos 💗
Girl you must try the rice paper bacon. I saw Candace Hutchings, the edgy veg, do it a few years ago and tried it immediately. Watch one of her videos because she’s updated it several times but you will love this. It is so easy and delicious and really satisfying. Love your channel!
Love love love!!! I’m a brand new vegan and am loving seeing your what I eat videos!!
Hey Sahzy, does the seitan have that ‘gluten’ taste?

C.Dolorier I love all the other kite hill yogurts I’ve tried but not the greek one! 😖

The Edgy Veg makes a great rice paper bacon... she made it in a video recently

I was definitely a little bit irrationally upset that you threw out that whole head of garlic over a bad clove 😂 but I've also worked on a farm and know how much of a pain garlic growing/harvesting/drying/braiding is 🙃 But I get it, when in doubt throw it out ✨

I just got that song out of my head the other day (it popped into my brain randomly after seeing avocados) and now it’s back again 😩
YES GARLIC RICE FOR BREAKFAST WITH EGGS! lol I used to loooove that. I used to put leftover lumpia sauce (I'm guessing a sweet and sour) all over my eggs and rice lol
Haven’t eaten dinner yet, and that fried rice sounds like *heaven* to me right now. 😇
I can completely relate to the impulsive period buying. Currently snacking on vegan chocolate chips.
God that homemade dinner looks amazing 🤤 chef Sarah! 🌱
Indians add Asafoetida in their food not only for flavouring but also to aid digestion of legumes especially
try Mississippi Vegan's tofu bacon recipe! Incredible! It just doesn't store very well so enjoy a lot of it or with friends lol

You’re amazing Sarah ♥️
100% try eating garlic rice, vegan egg, and beyond sausage all with ketchup!! It’ll bring you back to your childhood
Middle eastern here, nobody really roasts the eggplants on a grill when making babaghanoush at home!! We do the exact same you did and it turns out fine! Loving these casual what I eat/vlogs and love seeing eric as well, good luck getting your batteries replaced bud
Have you tried any of Sauce Staches bacon recipes? I’d love to see you try some of those
Your tzatziki knife skills are on point 👌🏼👌🏼
Guyanese: scrambled egg and rice was my favorite meal.
Eric I hope your surgery goes okay!!! And idk if you can get it in the states but the Plant Pioneers bacon is incredible x
Making the Pita bread today!!

Just realized this was a long time ago but I think you are back now.
I hate sweets, but when it's that time of the month, I gotta have my brownies. I feel you.
Try the daikon bacon!!!!! Check out Sauce Stache’s video! That’s where I got it from and it always turns out sooo good!! My favorite “bacon” so far!!! 🥓😋

So nice that we are neighbors. Maybe I’ll see you in the produce aisle at Kings or a farmers market. Enjoying your channel😊
I’m going to recreate your dinner it looks delicious
I liked the video after the first second and then I liked it again 3 seconds later when the guacamole song played hahaha
