I adore this quilt. No snowballing. I can handle squaring up any day. Adding this one to my long list of gotta make. Thanks Jenny!

I made that one and it is BEAUTIFUL! I used a blue flowered print to sash it and for it's border! Not to brag BUT IT"S BEAUTIFUL!

I made this quilt for myself! I absolutely love it on our bed. I wish I’d made it bigger but am contemplating a way to make an extender. I thinking have enough leftover fabric!

I love this tutorial! I wanted more space between the points and the edge so I used a 6x6 square for the background.

I realize this is for years later but could you explain how you did that with a 6” square back ground and a 5” inch main fabric. I just can’t wrap my head around this concept. Thank you ahead of time.

Hello Jenny, today I stayed up waiting to see your video. It is midnight here in GA, but I can't go to sleep until I watch what's new. As usual you do not disappoint me. I love the fabric, which I will order right away. I love the fact that there is no seams to match, so it will go faster. Thanks

I am going to pare it down and make a baby quilt for a little boy soon to enter the world. I love the cool but 'old' feel and it will be something to be cherished for a long time.

Jenny, I wanted to comment on this quilt. Anne of Green Gables is my daughter's favorite movie. So about 2 years ago, you had the fabric on sale, so I purchased it along with the digital pattern. Currently I am working on this quilt for her. However, I am doing it on a very special machine. I always wanted to have an antique treadle machine for many years, because it brought back many memories of my Grandfather and his cobbler shop. I found one in Colorado Springs this summer that dated back to 1886 called: Queen of the West. It is a working model and I am making my daughter's quilt on it. I am having the time of my life doing something with such fond memories. Just wanted to share my story with you and hope it inspires others to do the same if they have the mind to do things the old fashioned way. I too have found that making a quilt is something that gives comfort but also it is something from the heart and can be passed down through the generations. Thank you for giving us this kind of nostalgia.

Just a reminder: when Jenny says to be mindful of the two triangles joined. They must be as shown. I accidentally sewed about 3/4 on the wrong side. And made like a frog: ripped-it! Ripped-it! But a very fun quilt. The most fun is in the layout! So much fun yo be sure one isn’t placing too many lights, or darks in a block. After all, there are 8 prints in each block. I’m using Isabella by Simpson & Minnick. Beautiful, fabric. A different kind of patriotic look. Florals and others thrown in. So lovely! I so enjoy MSQC! And Jenny and all! Least favorite part:squaring up four units to yield a block! But, oh so lovely a block. So happy I found this pattern!

I am making this quilt right now, got my fabrics together finally! However, one thing on this tutorial Jenny I didn't see you mention, is the background color has the be in a certain location with the triangles and the strips when sewing them together, or it doesn't make a pinwheel, (found that out the hard way!) I make sure my triangle point is going through the sewing machine first, with the pattern one on the bottom, and the long side of the triangle next to my left hand. Same with when adding the 7x2.5 strip, put the strip on top, with the color triangle in the same place as before, if you sew them the other way round, the long stripe and the background triangle, don't met up and you don't make the pinwheel, (again, believe me on this one I tried). Thanks for giving us these free great tutorials every Friday! I LOVE MSQC!!

I'm making it patriotic--red, white and blue, using the red fabric with white stars for the sashing with blue fabric with white stars for the corner blocks. Purchased your 10" squares of the patriotic fabric--can't wait to get started.
