I've been sewing for 70years & am very confident in my skills. However, occasionally I really enjoy watching others sew. Different methods etc can only help my skill grow. You and your girls are truly expert & I've picked up several tricks I'd not known before. Thanks!
I love how Natalie just slides in and then slides right back out!! 😂 You ladies are the perfect team; and both look fabulous. Such a beautiful quilt to kick off 2024! Happy New Year quilty friends!! 🧵❤️🎉
Jenny, oh I just love THIS. YOU and Natalie are a great team. Great job teaching the little tricks that make us all more confident and successful. Bless you and yours. Thank you for sharing this with us. 😊🙏💖🍀🎉🪡🧵✂️🦓Liz
Always enjoy watching your videos. I use many of the tips and tricks you provide and appreciate each one. The Whirligig Star is the cutest! Thank you sharing.
I love the tip around draping the white fabric over something dark to see which is the right side. I have just started working with white-on-white fabrics, and this is super helpful!
Love it! 2024 I will continue watching and learning new tips. I started watching when the pandemic started. And I can't stop now. See you next Friday. Happy New Year's my quilting family. From Chicago
I just love the Bloc-Loc! It makes the construction of my quilt squares go together with ease and just match up without me fighting my points to match up❣️❣️
Fun quilt! I make what I call "booger" quilts for a great nephew ... the kind they drag around with them, take to preschool, play on, etc. ... this will make a GREAT "baby" quilt for him and I plan to make a few for him using juvenile "eye spy" type fabrics.
Natalie, that pink sweater looks so cute on you! As usual, I love this quilt! It immediately spoke to me when I saw it and am itching to get to my machine and make it. Thank you, Jenny and Team for your hard work! Oh, forgot...I just made Summer Season and absolutely love it! Thank you so much.
@@lynnharrell9598 I believe that if someone is doing a great job or looks nice then we should all let them know that we appreciate the efforts that they are making to doing their best! I LOVE 💕 this gorgeous fabric! And this quilt design is perfect for showing off that beautiful fabric. Thanks for another stunning quilt, Jenny, you really knocked this one out of the park. What a wonderful way to start off 2024. 🎉Happy New Year 🥳!!! ~Diana K.
I absolutely LOVE this block, Jenny❣️ Thanks for sharing and mentioning that it would make great baby quilt. I agree and am already planning one in primary colors.
This is a beautiful quilt can’t wait to make it using batiks. I am so glad you used the clearly perfect ruler to square up your block, I could not think of the rulers name, I am going to order one this week, that method is quicker for me . Thanks for this pattern.
I have been sewing for over 60 years but, I have only started quilting 30 years ago. I have been sporadic about it but no that I'm retired I have been more consistently piecing tops and machine quilting some of the lap quilts. You make them all look so easy to do. I haven't tried the double wedding ring or Dresden plate types yet or any stars. I guess I just have to decide to make them. Next is Jacob's ladder. I watched you and the triple play. I can do it. Thanks for the encouragement.
I didn’t even know there is a “thing” with a black light flashlight!! I’ve lived long enough to “know” about black lights 😄😄🫢🫢 but had no clue about a flashlight using black light!! I learn so much from MSQC with every single video - and I’ve been quilting since 1979 when we did everything by hand!
@@sandybruce9092 It is a game changer! I use a lot of white on white, the difference is so obvious. Howard made me an acrylic table that goes around my sewing machine. I put the flash light on the corner facing down. and hold the fabric under the acrylic, it's so obvious the right side from the wrong side. It's helped me so much! With the light shining down, you don't have to worry about it bothering you as you sew.
@@katrinahough290 Thank you so much for answering - can these black light flashlights be found easily anywhere, or maybe I should just go to my trusty friend named Amazon??😄😄😄
Omg...the white on white issue...I am there! Sounds brilliant (your fabric). I'm pushing 49 and my eyes are changing - not fun with solid whites nor batiks! 😂 Thank you for your wonderful lessons!❤
Hello ladies! Thank you so much for all your helpful and fun tutorials. Jenny said tonight she holds the white on white fabric against her jeans or a dark surface and she can tell the right side. I'm sorry I didn't understand what she was looking for to make her decision. I don't have any white on white or I would have tried it at home. Thanks Michael.
When you hold a white on white against a darker surface you can clearly see the right sight of the fabric. The back side looks blurred, on the right side the white pattern is very clearly and sharp

2:59 Good tip for identifying the right side of the white on white fabric.
I have to tell you--I could watch tutorials all day long. To watch all of those wonderful quilts come together absolutely amazes me.

The painterly fabrics are gorgeous. I have used them to make a kaleidoscope quilt with dark star points. It is stunning.

Love this pattern…so cool. I love star blocks and swirly whirligigs and/or pinwheels. It’s as if you designed it just for me. Great colour choices.
Omgosh, I love this fabric line! Such a cute quilt!
Can’t wait to make this pattern, how simple yet quite beautiful
Great block with beautiful fabric print. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊

Another great block - love how 4 would make a beautiful baby quilt! Thank you Jenny and Team :)!
Really love this quilt
I have a black light penlight that I keep in my sewing room to use for my white one white. Works great 👍🏻👍🏻
Me too. I don't trust any other way. Got one under $10 on Amazon.
Very cute pattern!!
Natalile you look very beautiful today. Pink really looks great on you!
I think the Fountain of Youth must be in Missouri. Those gals are looking great and so creative.
Jan, I notice that you comment a lot on these ladies’ appearances.

Fantastic Idea
This is so cute thank you Jenny and Natalie!
What a beautiful quilt! Love the fabrics that you chose for it. Thanks for the tutorial.
Gorgeous quilt. I love it!

The Accuquilt chisel die is perfect for the whirligigs. Love the pattern
I love this pattern.
Jenny Doan, you created a beautiful design in scrumpous colors! Thank you for sharing how easy it goes together😊

#4. I think it may be good luck. Happy sewing!
Love this pattern. I could see snowballing the 4-inch corner blocks for an additional pop of color.
Great tip to determine front side of white on white fabric. Thanks!
Love this quilt 😊
The fabric is beautiful
Very nice. Great easy and charming quilt.
Great looking quilt.
Amazing, Jenny. I love the colors, but the technique of eight at a time HSTs is a game changer. 🎶💐💖
I will sure be making this one. Thanks for making it look easy.

What beautiful fabric. Love this quilt. Thanks for another great tutorial.
Love it. I just told my quilter I was going to work on hst!
Jenny this quilt is awesome
Wow! Jenny this is beautiful. Great job
I got a small light that I shine on the white on white fabric to easily tell which is the right side. Works great.

Love this quilt! I do the same thing-look at fabric over my jeans to determine the right side!
Very cute..thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your videos.
Wonderful video. It gives me so many ideas. You either fussy cut a few special fabrics for centers or do the whirly gig. Thanks a bunch!

If you use a black light and shine it on the fabric it is easy to tell which side is the right side.
This was a fabulous tutorial. I love it ❤.

Great block, thinking of applique ideas for the large blank areas.
I think that would be resolved if the rows were offset. Then the points would show up better, instead of tip to tip.
Funny how the stars have legs. I would call those points! 😊
