Basically in a nut shell, it’s a choice lifestyle/behavior to remain save. You can only be save once through the blood of GOD JESUS , and by true repentance. remaining save and to stay under that blood covenant is a daily choice on our part. It’s why GOD JESUS said narrow is the way to eternal life. Staying in that narrow path daily is what the followers do/should be doing. 4:12
@@SCAM-BUSTER.777 Read Romans Chapter 6, 7, 8 the writer explains what you do after your save. I don’t disagree with your comments at all, there are steps to continue the journey in “remaining “ as one walks through this life. GOD JESUS speaks in the book of John Chapter 15 concerning the continuation of abiding in HIM, that you may bear fruit…
Oh, My Dearest Lord and Master, contemplating your face is the blessedness of everyone who has a pure heart, I humbly ask you for the greatest Treasure that a human being can constantly have in his heart and can remain pure; Your Fear that leads me to love what you love and hate what you hate and remain continually purified to be truly yours forever!
Such a great chapter! I am "working out" (working outward) my salvation with holy fear and trembling, from the Inside ➡️ Out. Salvation I received inwardly. Now I must do my part to reflect that salvation outwardly. I finally get it! Thank you John!
good luck!.... Jhn 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
@@d.o.nmuzic3802 It is not until one understands the gospel that saved us, that that person will begin to know what makes a person saved eternally and secured IN CHRIST. When Jesus said to just believe in Him for our salvation He meant it! Keep in mind these are His words; John 3:15-16, John 3:36, John 5:24, John 6:40, John 6:47, John 10:28, John 11:26, John 17:3 We have nothing to do with our salvation, not even to keep it or to show how we are saved by how we walk in this world, when we do that then our eyes have just turned away from the cross and have been placed on us! Jesus is our sanctification, our justification, our redemption, our Holiness. When we start to see Jesus in that manner we have just started to recognize the truth in the scriptures, BUT wait do we believe this, or some doctrine of devils that will still put their eyes on themselves? Many people walking with Jesus wanted to follow Him to the end, they had told Him that and they would say they wanted to do the work of God what did Jesus tell them? John 8:28-29 Jesus had even told them at one point, you want to be my disciple? then pick up YOUR cross and follow Me! Jesus knew they could not do that, He wanted all to look to him, to give up and believe in Him Just like the commandments they were given to show us our faults and sins and to condemn us if we break them, so we can just give up and tell God I give up I cannot keep them there is nothing I can do I need to put all my trust in you LORD. Do people do that today? Of course not. Look when we come to God boldly to His throne of Grace we come with Jesus and His blood, His righteousness, His Holiness NOT OURS, and for one to say we are trying our best to be sanctified by what we do, is actually denying God by their own so-called good works, the scriptures even call those good works reprobate; Titus 1:16 Look just read scripture in context you will be amazed at how much we have all been missing all this time!
This is what AB Simpson teaches as Full Uttermost Salvation vs Partial Salvation, Our main goal is not to enter heaven which is what Partial Salvation really is but our ultimate goal is to embrace Holiness as we go deeper in fellowshiping with Him. Human wisdom based theology tries to separate sanctification from salvation when the fact is both are one and the same , both are received , maintained and developed by personal choice to agree with God's covenant and above of all without sanctification there's no fullness of salvation .
This chapter really clarified a lot for me, in terms of your position. That last few chapters seemed almost judgemental. But, that man who says he can't live a celibate life, or the woman who actively cheats on her husband because he's away, makes clear what is going on in your writing of the past few chapters. These people don't even have a desire of Holiness. You can't be a true Christian and just be like "Oh, it's not possible to live a celibate life, and that's not the main thing I even want to talk about", or "I'm cheating on my husband, should I tell him?", as if getting advice on such things is your main concern. Like what? Really? Our spirit is both justified and sanctified by faith in Jesus. Our flesh is not, but a true Christian has a desire for it to be in alignment with the Spirit. Flagrant sin, where we just choose sin, is an indicator that they aren't even saved, let alone having the fear of God. An unsaved person doesn't have the fear of God. I understand people can make mistakes, and sin. What I don't understand is their lack of caring that they have made those mistakes. e.g. If you did fall into sin, you'd be trying to avoid it from that point forward.
Holiness is not the cause of salvation. Holiness is a fruit, it comes forth from true faith in Christ's sacrifice. Likewise, a lack of caring about our sin, is the fruit of not being truly saved. i.e. his sacrifice cannot help us in the day of judgement if we did not truly trust in it. And if we had, we'd be working on sanctifying ourselves.
Yes, holiness can be liked to a marriage, where we continually grow in pleasing our spouse. At the beginning there are a lot of things we do that annoy them or upset them, but over time we try to not do that.
God has just answered my question with this video a second later
Amen

I've been a Christian for about 49 years and am just now getting a concept of sanctification.
You have been saved.
You are being saved.
You will be saved.
The 3 stages of sanctification.
