I grew up in a1972 Starcraft trailer, which I later inherited. My father added a fold down table by the "couch". There was no comfortable place to just relax. So I hate dinettes!! Give me a table, any day. I now realize my nightmares about that trailer could be replaced by a new trailer with slide outs and a table and chairs!! 🤗
Thank you Josh for hooking me up with the link to this one from your "Short". Not sure how I missed this one as I'm supposed to receive notifications on all your posts. Love the windows that are maximized for air flow and the tinting throughout. Although I love symmetry - especially in my kitchen, I do love and appreciate the forethought in placement of stove and sink to maximize counter space. Love the true queen bed and ventless floors. Some items I'd change to make it perfect for me: in a unit this size, just make it standard to have that second AC, make it all matching carpetless flooring, a cuddle compliant theater seat, and for Pete's sake! What were they thinking with the 4" fart fan? Then, pretty much perfection (for me).
On October 1 we bought brand new, in Ludington, the 2022 Salem Hemisphere 271RL. Love, love, love the floorplan! Man, wish we had the option of no carpet! I agree with you Josh of the silly placement of the tp holder...as for the few minutes with a screwdriver...have you seen the light fixture over the dining table in the Hemisphere? Because of the non removable shade the screws are angled and cannot be properly installed. (eye roll) Also hubby will be extending the bed platform. LOL don't need to fall off the bed again! I wish someone would be able to help us with broken cabinet trim and a screw hole on the countertop to the right of the stove.....alas..it's only cosmetic. Yes, we saw this on walk through and was told it would be repaired......(another eye roll) lol We knew hubby would be getting a new truck...only fair since I got the trailer I wanted. Love your videos. Keep the laughs coming!
booth dinette probably has more storage. I prefer more storage. don't like the toe snubber. i like it that you don't have to climb stair to get to the primary bedroom.
Thats a nice camper for sure. I always wondered how folks felt about that toe stumper in the kitchen. Never dealt with that myself. Thanks Josh for more great input for sure!!!
As usual for me loving the colour scheme and the sense of space, and of course the windows. Based on the model I am using I like to have swivel type chairs in the rear that I can turn to see the view, the seating here is oriented inward away from the view. The counter space makes it completely functional for families and longer term stays. I like the sense of space from table and chair but the added sleepng space with the booth.
Especially with the 2024 updates, these Hemispheritage Glens are really bringing it! If you're looking for a big camper, but still under 35 feet......I'm really impressed. I DO wish there was at least SOME inverter prep though.

Also, the bedroom, I don't need or want or even like a little mini closet next to the bed, I would rather have the window there instead! Overall, I did like the trailer, it just needs a little more fine tuning for me! Thanks for sharing this video Josh!
Whoa! Sliding off the bed end would not be fun! That should be addressed. Really liking how the manufacturers are making changes customers want: camp side windows, window in door, ample counter space, nicer decor etc. Thanks for another great review Josh!
This could make shopping for our retirement camper more interesting if they keep up with this sort of for plan. Very similar to our destination, but more movable. A possible good replacement for our motorhome!
I'm with you about hooks!???? Not even a bar hook system... However, some good features... Yet I can't tow this one, and until interest rates go down, I can't buy what I REALLY want! I'm afraid it's gonna be a while...
Overall I really like the floor plan of this trailer. I would definitely equip it with a s air conditioner. I like the idea of the table and chairs but due to the limited storage overall, I may have to go with a booth option for the extra storage. I would have thought there would have been some type of a pantry even a small one in this long of a trailer and the lack of linen storage in the bathroom is unacceptable to me. I would probably have to make use of some of the bedroom storage to handle towels and other bathroom linen cabinet storage items.
IMO I usually don't like the slide-out on the camp side of the RV, especially when there is one on the opposite side. I've had narrow campsites where it would be extremely tight to open both. Whether it be the electrical hookup or water in the right side and the firepit or picnic table on the camp side.
I think they missed on the bedroom space. The bathroom is sufficient but not great. I do like the rear living, but it had to be accessible road travelling without moving the slides. Sometimes you need to grab lunch and the restroom, and that is important. As always Josh thanks for the honest review.

Question for everybody regarding the new marine material that is replacing carpet. How do you clean it? If you are camping somewhere that is sandy, does sand get stuck in the texture of this stuff? Not saying I don’t like it better than carpet. Just wondering. I would love to hear from people who have this in their RVs.
I think it'll depend on what you're cleaning out of it. If it's something wet, then you can really scrub it like crazy if it's something like sand, then a small wand attachment on a vacuum system would be best
Very nice Heritage Glen😊😊👍👍👍👍👍 I'd just like to know why this one's not sitting in my driveway yet 😁😁 oh by I didn't buy it yet😊😊 my kick on it is zero carpet, I love my carpet😊 this is definitely Not a deal breaker

Hey Josh - weird question. Usually the overall length of a trailer is the model number-ish plus 4-5’ for the hitch/tongue/bumper. How did we get from a 27 foot trailer (“271RL”) to almost 35 feet?
Ooh la la I like-y! Prefer booth dinette. A short queen would be fine because I'm short 😆. Don't need a fireplace, especially one that my dogs' snot prints would show on so easily. Love no carpet. Road mode is a tetch disappointing but not critical.
I think the towability of a 1/2 ton varies greatly. The newer GMC and Chevrolet 1/2 tons with the 6.2 gasser or 3.0 diesel are rated to 13,300. That is significantly higher than the Ford F150 with the 2.7L at 8,500.
🇺🇸 🤣 *How NOT to sit on a bed* !! *LOL* !! *This Wildwood would make a great seasonal trailer* !! *LOVE that this is now carpet-free* !! #JoshTheRVNerdAtBishsRV 🇺🇸
I have a 2018 HG 272RL and am disappointed that most of the changes they made are not for the better. Some people like the wide slide with all of the windows on the door side of the camper but previously it was on the other side and the kitchen slide was on the door side. This allowed for an outside kitchen in back of the fireplace. The OS kitchen has a large frig & sink which I love. I also have a bumper mounted pivot gas grill which rotates to the OS kitchen. I don't know what's behind the TV or fireplace on this new one. There appears to be much less storage inside, with no cabinet above the slide couch and a much smaller bathroom with no true linen cabinet as I have. I prefer the thick molded front cap on mine as opposed to the new thin laminated cap with the large windshield that could be damaged by rocks. The large back window appears to be fixed. The bedroom in mine has a dresser and storage closet and hinged, not pocket, door. LP tanks appear to be 20 lbs. That's small for this size RV. Mine are 30s.
I think you may not realize you're actually referencing two different models. This is the 271RL with windows on the camp side I think you're familiar with the 273RL with the kitchen on the camp side + outside kitchen Two different models. Both of which are still in production

I understand your point but it is an outdoor carpet. So it’s not carpet less. Like you wouldn’t say it has a back latter on the the rear even though it a portable ladder. It’s misleading.
I normally prefer a booth dinette but in this model I can see turning the table so two can face the window while eating or working. I've been seeing the mirrored fireplaces and I personally don't like them at all.
Totally would swap table and chairs for a booth dinette. Who wants to strap down chairs? Also, I'm always suspicious of slide out kitchens. Seems like lots of pipes and cables to be moving in and out.
I don’t like the 🔥 fireplace, I dislike the 2 tone island. Love the counter space. Not sure about the dinette. Maybe 1/2 booth, 1/2 chairs, and the booth can be a movable ottoman/storage. But you can’t access the whole RV in travel mode. But a nice RV.
I like the table and chairs over the booth, don't like the limited access in road mode. And whoever designed the placement of the toilet paper holder should be fired.
I can't say that I'm a big fan of having a pile of windows, especially a front windshield. Though the windshields look cool from the outside. Everybody says they want windows, but all the ones I see have the curtains/shades closed anyways, so what's the point?
I don't have a specific "that's THE one" in that category. Most "true" bunkhouses stop before the "full on luxury" level and you get maybe a mid den or those rear drop frame 2nd bedrooms
@@JoshtheRVNerd Josh, We are looking for a full timer for a couple of years while we build our home. It has to have enough room. I never realized how dangerous being an RV reviewer is. I'd charge double for having to do your own stunts. :) Woven vinyl and PVC seem to be the slide flooring materials I run across the most. I like the kitchen except for the window behind the range. I see the channels and crevices as hard to clean grease collectors and the glass showing every splatter from breakfast. I would prefer it be moved to where the microwave is and use a residential microwave with a vent over the range. Rather than a booth or table and chairs I'd like to have a breakfast bar/workspace. If we need more space for eating the living room looks large enough that a fold up table and seats would fit. Even if the 1/2 ton's other specs look like they are enough to tow this I suspect a loaded trailer will have a tongue weight that exceeds the hitch receiver rating. Even if nothing was exceeded I would not tow this with a 1/2 ton as that is a lot of sail and a lot of weight for the 4000 - 5300 lbs of the average 1/2 ton pickup truck.
I like this camper.

Bar/Desk spaces as dinette options would be amazing. Especially overlooking the camp side windows. Man..
It must be cold there your brain is Freezing lol great video
