there's a prequel to the book series called garden of shadows it takes place during the time Malcolm Foxworth married Olivia that also ties up some loose ends and help you understand how the curse started
It doesn't have the title "Garden Of Shadows" but the prequel story is apparently being released this year. It's a TV mini-series, titled 'Flowers In The Attic: The Origin'
Petals in the wind and seeds of yesterday are definitely the two best in the series. Loved this series! I wished it kept going. I hated the ending of this though, sad Chris and Kathy died and I don't get how Bart is all of a sudden not crazy anymore and loves Cindy.
Ambrose Morgan He finally calmed down he realized what he was doing. He felt like he caused Chris's death and It made him realize that he was wrong to follow Malcom and It was time to move on because life's too short. As far as Cindy he knew she loved him all along and he loved her but thought It was wrong but after seeing the love Cathy had for him he went for it and moved on.
+Kevin Falk I actually felt like he was trying to purify his bloodline and Chris dying showed him nothing pure comes out of death. He believed his little bible thing but then realized it was a lie just like everything else. For even as cold as Malcolm was, he was manipulated by his daughter. No one wants to die alone and Bart caught onto that super quick when Chris died and everyone left him alone.
Garden of Shadows is last book and prequel of the four books/movies and it gives you a great explanation about everything, why is Olivia the way she is and plus Corinne isn't even her own daughter ! It's amazing and I love all four movies they stayed true to the books :)

+Darko Lukac Petals on the wind skipped all of Paul. They are good films but weren't 100% faithful.
I just watched this using Amazon Video, Barts totally damn nuts the entire thing, I hated his madness!
These movies were a absolute insult to these wonderful books!
