- Dyeing Easter eggs is so last year! This Easter, create beautifully decorated plastic eggs with acrylic pouring. Casey Cole Corbin shows us how he uses the "swirling dirty pour," a.k.a., "tree pour" technique on his Easter eggs, with stunning results.

Easter is my favorite holiday specifically for the spring colors and the bold look of flowers and trees blooming against stormy grey skies. I hadn't thought of pouring over egg shapes personally but I love your technique. I admit that if I do this, I will display my eggs year round. Now for a trip to the dollar store!
Thanks! I'd love to see what you make!
Beautiful thx Happy Easter 🐣
Thank you for all the positive feedback! A few days after this video, I peeled it off the 'stand' of both the card and the adhesive putty. At the time there was a little bit of still wet paint around the base which I used to fill in the white spot where the adhesive blocked the paint. When I was ready to varnish it I created a new 'stand' with fresh adhesive putty and card. I put on 3 layers of polyurethane which brought back the luster and shine! Check out the original blog for added picture of the eggs my students made at a recent workshop of mine. Theirs turned out even better than mine!
To achieve a great level of perfection, consider prepping the base with a glitter or dried paint. Nice work with the stand. You might also support the egg with a wired loop that cradles the egg. Finally, dangle the egg with a single thread that is attached with super glue.
Mr. Corbin, I saw this earlier and didn't realize it was you. I thought it was some knock-off copy cat to Debbie@acrylic pouring. Please accept my apology for the above comment. Again, Nice work with the stand. As I have only done my second pour the other day, I would never presume to having a better approach than you Mr. Corbin.
Beautiful. Question: Is the egg 1. left on the cardstock as a stand, 2. cardstock peeled off but left on the "puddle" of dried paint as a stand, 3. peeled completely away from the puddled paint, leaving a pontil type spot on the bottom of the egg?

How did you fix that egg to stand vertically?
Would this work on hard boiled eggs? I’ve been doing a lot of flow painting lately and I want to try this on some actual eggs. I dunno why really.
