Thank you Lori, I love the tilting process it’s almost like it own art form in a weird way. I am sure there is so much to learn about tilting, I am going to start testing using my fingers for pressure on the underside of the canvas to manipulate movement. Should be a neat trick.
YY! You nailed the silicone. I love how you master things and live a challenge. 😍 Watching you use the split cups was such fun and fun and colours were awesome for ribbon pour design. ❤
thank you Kathy, I was going non traditional with this one well because we've been around long enough to know what it would look like without silicone.
Kathy you may have given me the idea for the next pouring series where I can do remixes of old pours to see how they would come out if something was different…. Well done K❤️
Yep! She's a beauty alright. I thought the silicone hadn't done anything until we went in close. I'm certainly going to add it to my next ribbon pour using a split cup. Before you tilted it reminded me of when the Garter Snakes come out of hibernation, a mass of writhing bodies. Love the colours together. Who makes that lovely metallic leaf green please. Excellent job Michael.
Thank you Paul....she is a beauty, and I was thinking snakes as well I think I even said it out loud. the split cup keeps those color separated just enough to add some dimension in this, and the silicone adds to the fun. Metallic Leaf Green is from Artist Loft. Those split cups really make me want to do another one, good thing you mentioned the split cups you had got because this pour would have never happened. plus it was a nice opportunity to layer in one of them (been wanting to do that for awhile.) could you imagine doing a ring pour with all 5 slots layered like a straight pour with different color combos. dang I pretty much just challenged myself.
Yes I think you just did challenge yourself. I admit to surprise when I saw you layer the cup as I've never seen anyone do that before. You are a true instigator and I bow to your genius. I'm going to use my split cups this week on the strength of this video. I finally have time and the inclination to paint again. Must get me some of that leaf green though. I like it nearly as much as Phthalo green. Just checked and it's in stock at our Michaels so looks like a trip across town tomorrow. Have a great night..@@michaelyacovelli1763
Gorgeous my friend. You are amazing at tilting. There are times I'm watching and I'm like noooooo don't do it, then I'm like oh OK that looks great. 😂😂 The colors look incredible and I love the design. Another gorgeous pour my friend!! ❤❤❤
This came out super awesome!! I loved the split cup factor and that you used silicone to make all those cells come out. Wow!! Great one Michael!
Thank you Cassie, I absolutely love using the split cups now for ribbon pours❤️
I appreciate that you talk through the tilting. It helps me with my own tilting. This turned out great!

That’s one wild color palette! I would like to see it without silicone, so you see more of the ribbons/lines.
