Neither Drongo nor KillerPigeon really talked about the absolute insanity of English handcanoneers from Wam. That huge damage from them alongside with the +30% attack speed from network of citadels instantly melted away Recon's camels.
Yup. Recon's only chance was to make Mangonel's, but he didn't do that.

feels like Wam got hard done by in the middle of the game with the triple teaming - and Aussie's justification at 52:52 on why it was ok to do so was based entirely on a hypothetical: "if he put down a wonder" - yes, but he didn't. Ironic, too, since at exactly this point, chat was discussing the legality of their teaming and questioning whether it was fair for them to be teaming against someone only 50 pop more than the next guy
Not many options though right. They damaged him and then he still killed Recon whilst Mlord and beasty were 1v1ing. No one really wanted to start a 1v1 without the others as then theyd most likely get 3rd partied and die. Its a hard thing to balance and justify when teaming is allowed and when it isnt.
Suggestion for next octagon:
2 points divided among surviving players whenever a player dies to motivate sticking around and providing a show even when you can't possibly kill anyone anymore.
1 point bounty per +100 max pop cap a player has over you so players won't just go for the easy kill, there's been a bit much of leaving the strong player alone to snowball.

Yea I definitely think every point that have should make them a target. A bounty system maybe? So players don't just go against the weakest players.
Top 10 king runs of Octogon would be really cool. Recon's hide and seek king run was definitely in that category!

As good as yesterdays game was ( and it was still better than this game), I loved this game so much.
Loads of action all over that place and Recon running around enough to have his king walk on every square of this map at least twice :D
Last 4 part was extra fun 😅 give Reconn must be honored to be Member of the AC brotherhood membership with that sneeky King 😅😅

I could literally feel the frustation by wam when chasing recons king.
I wouldn't mind a cockroach award for the player that manages to survive in a lost position for the longest in the next Outback Octagon.

When will all the other players learn? Take out Wam and puppypaw at the start of the game. They have proven time and time again they are 2 of the best players in this tournament and come come back from nothing.

I'm not sure I like the kings running around lol. Beasty getting the kill over wam of Recon felt annoying and then marine lord not getting the kill of beasty also felt unfair. Love the series, looking forward to see how you might change it next time around though :)
well if wam built some horses or split his army up a bit more he would have gotten the kill much earlier. i think he was just tired.
I don’t know the details of the kids at McDonalds, but many (maybe most at this point) locations are franchises so it could be the kids of the franchise owner; kind of like a family business but with someone else’s name on it and they make way more money than you do.
Thank god that Wam killed Beasty, this game would take ages if MLord was also 300 pop

@Zaganim yup. Its all just part of the game and honestly the banter n shit talking in the chat makes it more entertaining especiallybecauseyou know its just part of the game. You regularly see them taking the piss out of each other. Yeah occasionally its taken too far or someone takes something too personal but that happens everywhere and doesn't mean the other 99% of the time it's an issue. If the players themselves had an issue they would raise it with the tournament admins and they'd deal with it.

People teaming up against beastly with no reason in game, I mean, he was the weakest on that game, is pretty annoying and noob from the other players. Marine lord just chicken out from first push after betraying the push agains wan, what a scum.

Berkshire would melt cavalry especially with another keep right there with boiling oil as well 😂
with 50 elite knights it will take 20 seconds to destroy berkshire and kill the king, if you play ooc2 you know it, i do it all the time it s called king snipe ;)
@@OthCrypto bro what do you think would happen to those knights? that was war of attrition, beasty was pumping out units its not like those knights would just be able to snipe the berkshire without any resistance, of course its easy for you when you play vs randoms on custom games....

@@EmergencyInductionPort No, they don't choose were to spawn. They only choose were to put the town center, but they can't waste 3 minutes exploring the map to find a good spot.
@Oscar S a few have done exactly that and it's worked out for them. Why do you think they changed it so that you start with a scout. SO YOU CAN EXPLORE YOUR SURROUNDINGS BEFORE DROPPING YOUR TC. Not exactly rocket science is it.
@@EmergencyInductionPort what can Vortix do? Cross the map while scouting to find a good place to put the towncenter? Nah, the don't move that much because losing that much time is a death sentence when the treaty ends.
i guess you never liked diplo games on AOE2 either :P tbh i think teaming is fine as long as its not premade and only temporary. it allows for a political dimension of the game.
Recon made the late game so boring. This serie is so awsome but Transport ships and players just running away with there king when they are clearly death make me skip every 5 min ahead until something happens. First they where laming with the 3 vs 1 and then the boring running of Recon. For me this was the most boring game so far.
