Dimash is known for his wide vocal range, covering 7 octaves, 8 semitones (“F#1” - “D8”). His range extends from the bass register to the highest but coloratura soprano and whistle register. But no matter what Dimash performs, everything is sincere and filled with life and meaning... 🤗

First of all, Dimash named his fandom Dears, not the fans. Second, Dimash also sings lots of pop songs. He is a promoter of World Peace, he gives to charities, visit children's hospitals wherever he goes and is kind to everyone around him. The highest he goes here is E flat 6, not a D8, he only did that once, in Gakku 2017 Unforgettable Day.

He has definitely only hit the infamous D8 once. In the Drunken Concubine/Diva Dance duet with Li Yugang, he hits a whistle note, but it’s only (“only”, as if anyone can do it 😂) in the 7th octave. G7, if I remember correctly. He used to hit whistle notes in the 7th octave fairly frequently, in multiple performances of Diva Dance, “Kazakhstan” at Bastau, etc.
If you notice, Dimash always uses his hands, almost like he's directing himself. Sometimes, when he sings "Adagio", and "Unforgettable Day" from this same program, he is almost directing the orchestra also. Those guys you mentioned said that it was stressful to sing after Dimash. Dimash takes a couple of seconds to immerse himself emotionally and mentally into every song he is about to sing, and then another second or two to return to earth.
In addition, When Igor is at the piano, he is sometimes watching Dimash intently to keep all the timings of himself and Dimash in sync!

Dimash didn't know his father had flown in from Kazakstan and was in the audience. He was shocked to see him. He is very close to his family and had been in China for months without them and was very homesick. You watch and see just what he asks his father!

He does hit D8 in another song, Unforgettable Day at Gakku Live concert and it’s like the highest pitch of a tea kettle, so this must be D7. Also, Unforgettable Day is written by Dimash himself. There are other performances of the song where he doesn’t go for this note. You want Gakku ❤

Two things for the right notice..Gakku is not a concert of Dimash but is a festival of many hours with exibitions of many singers/artists..And in unforgettable day Gakku festival 2017 there is the famous and incredible D8 of 5 seconds with vibrato of our beloved and unique Dimash live with more of 150.000 people in the audience..This thing is right for the guinness world record..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever
Dimash's fans are called Dears because onstage he feels as comforable as at home in the lounge with family. So that is how he regards his audience, and prefers to sing onstage.
He frequently sings up to E6 with some of his later songs hitting the F6 or F sharp6.
But in younger concert he sometimes added whistles of F7+, and in Unforgettable Day at Gakku...is the D8 which is just above the 88 key piano. You see him waving his mic with no sound, so his attempt at D7 probably did not work but it suited the music to continue up to a small slide into the D8 with vibrato, to everyone's surprise. He does not like to talk about how high he can go....or how low.

The original singer of this song was really angry as Dimash never asked permission to use the song.
Words borrowed words and it looked like Dimash was going to be sued bot common sense prevailed and the outcome was that Dimash was never allowed to use this video or ever sing the song again...........personally I think the guy was just bugged because Dimash sang this SO well xx Jean from Scotland.

Dimash has said that he use to watch reactions to his singing, but realised he could start thinking he was really cool and didn’t need to improve, so he doesn’t really watch them now, but I really hope one of his team see you and your son’s reactions and show Dimash. I call it "Vaulting the Octaves" Final high note here isn't the D8 (which is off the piano) - that is sung in his own composition of "Unforgettable Day" at his live concert in Gakku. You will hear something probably for the first time ever by a human!

You need to still see a lot more Dimash songs especially those he composed before writing a Dimash song in order to fully understand the artist and his capabilities. His repertoire is huge and he covers a range of genres. Listen to some of his Kazakh folk songs as well.

The highest note in this song was an E flat 6. He went from C6 to C#6 to D6 and finally Eb6. You can hear a D8 in only one performance, namely the Gakku concert version of "Unforgettable Day".

Great reaction! I appreciate you emphasizing how Dimash plays with the audience. One of the things that makes him SO special is that he is a true story teller, using his entire body to convey his feelings and the lyrics. That's why his music transcends all language barriers; no matter what language you speak you can feel exactly how he intends you to feel. He transports you into his story; it's incredible. The way he does that with both the visuals of the "Story of One Sky" MV but also (my favorite live performance) "Love Is Like a Dream" at Alla Pugacheva are absolute masterclasses in storytelling with music.
