Her younger brother Abilmansur is in the first year at the University of Arts in Kazakhstan studying music. He is only 16 years old and already composes songs and plays musical instruments. He composed the song "together" and performs it with her brother Dimash. They made a nice video clip.

That happened, it didn't end well for Dimash, as the American company lied to Dimash and when he tried to leave the show, they insulted his integrity. The only time I've seen truly angry.

Vitas hadn't yet given his permission for Dimash to sing this (bit of a FUBAR by the organisers of the competition) and then he got a tad upset because Dimash went up 3 octaves vs Vita's 1. As at 2019, Vitas has banned Dimash from singing any of his music. Haven't found anything saying otherwise as yet. Shame really as it wasn't Dimash's fault and, personally, I think a collaboration 'tween the two would be pretty wicked.

Dimash did not win this competition He placed second. But the reason is that in 2017 the rules of the show prohibited anyone who was not of Chinese heritage from winning the show. Dimash had been invited to participate in the show as a wild card. If I am not mistaken those rules have were subsequently changed.

In his original song he took the chorus up just one time, but Dimash took it up three times!! Vitas was not happy and banned Dimash from doing it again, as did Lionel Ritchie after Dimash did his version of Hello on Singer 2018 when he was invited to perform as a special guest. Yes, Vitas can also hit those notes, but Dimash's voice is much clearer and stronger, and Dimash kept going up the scale where Vitas only does one key change. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once. Yes, the man who raises his fist in the air at the end is Dimash’s father. He came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. BTW the audience is also the jury. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. Maybe you want to believe it, maybe you don't. Watching Dimash's IG before 2017, you can see that he was living out of a suitcase. He was constantly traveling somewhere, to various cities in his country, very often abroad (Korea, China, Italy, France, Turkey and neighboring countries), and all alone. So the theory that this was the first time he was alone is not true. Even his tour around the country (25 cities, but due to Singer he did not finish it) required a longer stay away from home. He definitely missed home, that's natural, but it wasn't his first independent journey or his first separation. He was an unknown 22 year old man from Kazakhstan (formally part of USSR), who went on the Chinese singing show and sang a French song. He was an unknown "wildcard" contestant, but S.O.S made him an overnight success after over 600,000,000 people in China saw the broadcast, and it started his worldwide career. The 500 member audience are all professionals in the music industry, and are the judges for the show. The people you see backstage are the other contestants. For this show, the singers had to be invited to participate. The rules of the show made it so that the winner had to be Chinese, but after 2017, they changed the rules. Dimash didn't need the win though, he just needed the opportunity. You also are correct. His Father surprised him by coming to this performance. He sees him at the end.

Unlike most singing competitions on TV, "The Singer" invited only professional singers to participate. No one auditioned. No one gets critiqued. Dimash was both the youngest and only foreigner. The others were professional enough not to run away. They may even have been paid for their performances. The lyrics are a complaint about a high wind, slamming his door shut and rattling his windows. Then he becomes the wind. That was his dad. There's a longer tape where they showed him suddenly spotting his dad, who didn't want to make him nervous by telling him he was coming. It's very sweet, and the Chinese really cherish their parents, so the audience was almost as delighted as Dimash to see his dad.
When you do “Story of One Sky”, you must do the MV and then the live Almaty presentation. You will miss out A LOT if you do not do the live version as well.

"The Story Of One Sky" has heavy war themes, he doesn't sugarcoat the horrors of war. Kazakhstan was taken over by Russia in the 1840s and only gained back its independence in 1991. Their alphabet has changed to Latin, which is why you see Dimash's last name spelled with a K or a Q. (The new spelling is with a Q)
Dimash won this episode. He also won two other episodes with SOS (his very first performance on The Singer show); and Adagio. Other top Singer performances are Autumn Strong, Daybreak, Unforgettable Day, Daididau. And, yes, that was his Dad - there’s an extended version of this episode which shows Dimash realising at the end of his performance that his Dad is in the wings - it’s a must watch to see Dimash’s reaction. Yes, Dimash could not win, since he is not Chinese. I believe the rules have changed, but the world knew that he won. Dimash’s career took off from here, so- NO PROBLEM! 1st, is NOT ALWAYS the best. In Dimash’s case, we can all agree!❤

Dimash did not win this competition He placed second. But the reason is that in 2017 the rules of the show prohibited anyone who was not of Chinese heritage from winning the show. Dimash had been invited to participate in the show as a wild card. If I am not mistaken those rules have were subsequently changed.

His first song on Singer was SOS that went viral overnight. The audience know this song from the original singer, Vitas, a Russian singer/songwriter. In his original song he took the chorus up just one time, but Dimash took it up three times!! Vitas was not happy and banned Dimash from doing it again, as did Lionel Ritchie after Dimash did his version of Hello on Singer 2018 when he was invited to perform as a special guest. In both cases, Dimash did a phenomenal job and, I thought, they should have thanked him!
You should have kept the video playing here as Dimash didn't know his Dad was there and when he spotted him while saying his thankyous, there follows a lovely reunion between father and son which shows the loving relationship they have. 😊🙏💕

Opera 2 is written by a Russian Singer/Songwriter Vitas. Yes, Vitas can also hit those notes, but Dimash's voice is much clearer and stronger, and Dimash kept going up the scale where Vitas only does one key change. The Story of One Sky MV is intense, the live performance is intense, it's a pretty intense song. Great reaction guys, FYI, he placed first in Opera 2. Every week on the Singer they get voted on, but the last 2 episodes are what caused him to be placed 2nd, and the rules at the time of the show.

Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once.
Yes, the man who raises his fist in the air at the end is Dimash’s father. He came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
BTW the audience is also the jury.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.
I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I think what's happening today in the world worries him a lot.

As far as I know, on this channel there are no copyright issues and there are also English subtitles. And I always recommend switching them on. In some it is important to understand what the song is about. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. I can also highly recommend the videos from the Gloria Wu channel because they show a little more of the scenes behind the scenes and there are also subtitles from the competitors, some of which are really funny.

Maybe you want to believe it, maybe you don't. Watching Dimash's IG before 2017, you can see that he was living out of a suitcase. He was constantly traveling somewhere, to various cities in his country, very often abroad (Korea, China, Italy, France, Turkey and neighboring countries), and all alone. So the theory that this was the first time he was alone is not true. Even his tour around the country (25 cities, but due to Singer he did not finish it) required a longer stay away from home. He definitely missed home, that's natural, but it wasn't his first independent journey or his first separation. Maybe you can correct the text because I see that you often provide information about leaving your family for a long time. Good luck.

I was a bit dissappointed. Many men are deaf in the upper registers so all the notes sound the same. About 1/3 of male reacters fall into this category.

The original performer/writer is the Russian Vitas, and the song not only won over 100 awards in Russia, Europe and Asia, but had been performed everywhere by Vitas. Thus, nearly all in the audience already knew what to expect at the beginning and were anticipating what was coming. NOBODY was prepared for what Dimash did in the 2nd half of the performance.

In 2017, Dimash was the first contestant on stage for the TV show "I Am Singer 2017". He was an unknown 22 year old man from Kazakhstan (formally part of USSR), who went on the Chinese singing show and sang a French song. He was an unknown "wildcard" contestant, but S.O.S made him an overnight success after over 600,000,000 people in China saw the broadcast, and it started his worldwide career.
The 500 member audience are all professionals in the music industry, and are the judges for the show. The people you see backstage are the other contestants. For this show, the singers had to be invited to participate. The rules of the show made it so that the winner had to be Chinese, but after 2017, they changed the rules. Dimash didn't need the win though, he just needed the opportunity. You also are correct. His Father surprised him by coming to this performance. He sees him at the end.

Sim, este é o Sr. Kanat Aitbayev, pai de Dimash. Ele não sabia que seu pai estava na plateia. No final, quando a apresentação terminou, Dimash o viu e correu para abraçá-lo. Foi muito emocionante! E, enquanto caminhavam em direção ao camarim, Dimash perguntou ao pai se ele tinha se saído bem. O pai respondeu que sim. A humildade de Dimash é uma de suas maiores qualidades.

Unlike most singing competitions on TV, "The Singer" invited only professional singers to participate. No one auditioned. No one gets critiqued. Dimash was both the youngest and only foreigner. The others were professional enough not to run away. They may even have been paid for their performances. The lyrics are a complaint about a high wind, slamming his door shut and rattling his windows. Then he becomes the wind. That was his dad. There's a longer tape where they showed him suddenly spotting his dad, who didn't want to make him nervous by telling him he was coming. It's very sweet, and the Chinese really cherish their parents, so the audience was almost as delighted as Dimash
to see his dad.

"The Story Of One Sky" has heavy war themes, he doesn't sugarcoat the horrors of war.
Kazakhstan was taken over by Russia in the 1840s and only gained back its independence in 1991. Their alphabet has changed to Latin, which is why you see Dimash's last name spelled with a K or a Q. (The new spelling is with a Q)

Dimash won this episode. He also won two other episodes with SOS (his very first performance on The Singer show); and Adagio. Other top Singer performances are Autumn Strong, Daybreak, Unforgettable Day, Daididau.
