I dont compare Dimash to any one particular artist, but everyone comes from somewhere. And the influences he mentioned, i can see. Even if it's not intentional, Dimash definitely pulls from different artists, and that's fine.
That's all they know. I love MJ as much as Dimash but they're very VERY different in many ways. MJ was great at dancing, Dimash doesn't try to be the same, like he said he just does it for his dears.their vocals are not comparable either. But one thing they have in common is their creativity and passion for music which shows in their compositions and video productions. Both masters of their craft. Dimash is luckier though in that he grew up in a loving and encouraging home whereas MJ was exploited and abused not just by his own family but the American public. He was the greatest king of pop that graced our collective music history. May his soul be blessed in the afterlife❤.
Just when you think, he's already the best at what he does. He ups the game! And boy did he just up the game!!! It's like its his nod to Rock Music from the 70's and 80's..First you see elements of Meatloaf, with the romantic sound of Journey..But then suddenly, you are instantly transport3d back to the sound and style of Freddy Mercury..But make no mistake, Dimash is in his own league. No one else could pull off so many layers from past performers. Like I said, he's up'd his game..which means more wonderful work to come!!! And just imagine any singer trying to attempt to repeat this..not for the faint of heart to try..

On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon. (Dimash News)

Hey RS Dad so many aspects to this song Dimash did his homework A little Shawshank Redemption music at the beginning and end a little Meatloaf and Michael Jackson themes and Guitar solo sounded like Pink Floyd's Guitarist David Gilmour especially from the song Comfortably Numb. Different Genre and many different influences this is just one example and shows Dimash's Genius😇
She hasn't gone to the interview yet...or has she? Is she on her way or is this a memory? Whatever the case may be this is an awesome song and video. Dimash for quite a while had been wanting to do a song that was a fusion of jazz, rock and R&B and he talked it over with his co-producer Dmytro Gordon who suggested Dimash make it edgy - something raw and beautiful, so Dimash composed the song and Dmytro helped Candice Kelly with the lyrics and this great bluesy rock song is the result. The video is beautiful and sexy and is just meticulous in it's detail. A definite nod to Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire going on as well. Dimash is a master at whatever he does. Everyone who can, please don't forget to buy this single. Let's get it on the charts!

This track is yet another step into a different space... and I absolutely love it... brings back a lot of 80's and 90's vibes Bluesy R&B with Rock Power Ballad and some metal rasp and pop melismas, oh and a gospel choir to boot.
