Found this video while trying to find a solution to poor streaming quality. I realize it’s 2 years old. However, a couple things. The game you streamed isn’t as graphically taxing on the console as say, a shooter or mmo and you didn’t move your character at all. I noticed in the games I play, standing still looks fine. The moment I move the stream drops frames significantly. It’s grainy, pixelated, lots of artifacts and just bad quality. I’m in the US with a 500mbps internet service. Even when running through an Elgato HD60 S it’s bad.
The PS5 shouldn't have any issue playing a game and streaming, the games are catered to the console so it's not similar to a PC where you tweak graphics to get better gameplay. It all comes down to your bitrate and upload speed. You may have a big download speed, but upload speed is separate. You also mentioned a capture card, if you're using OBS for streaming, then you need to tweak your streaming settings and your bitrate without overloading your pc. it's a delicate balance and it takes a lot of trial and error based on your internet upload speed and your PCs ability to encode the video feed.
@@ChowlbPlays Thank you for the reply. You are appreciated. While streaming from the PS5 direct to twitch (or UA-cam) the game looks fine if I don’t move the character. As soon as I start moving the image becomes pixelated, fuzzy and has lots of weird graphical artifacts. As soon as I stop moving. They stop. I play 4k60 with HDR which twitch then compresses to 1080p60. The max for the platform (although I argue I’ve seen higher) is 1080p60. Could the compression here be the culprit? Should I make sure my source is 1080p instead of 4K and should I turn off HDR? As for my ISP. Yes, I looked at upload speeds and checked recommendations. The suggest I read were between 4500-6000 bitrates with 6K being the best quality. This translates to about 6mbps upload. My upload speed exceeds this. However, it is possible my ISP is bottlenecking this number to be lower because, well, that’s what they like to do. As for the elgato. I bought it a few years ago and never really used it. When I did try I learned that chat doesn’t pass through without their fancy splitter and on this model, neither does HDR. So I only used it maybe 3 times then put it back in the box. I’ve asked questions on various forums, twitter and other platforms and no one seems to be willing to offer any advise outside of “just get a PC”. It’s incredibly frustrating.
Hi there, can you tell me why I can't hear my voice in my headphones while using the usb blue snowball mic. I have the ps5, ps5 3D pulse headphone. When I do the mic level check I can hear my voice but when i start live broadcast I only hear the game play. My voice do get recorded I hear it when I watch the replay. Do you have an answer?
I'm not sure there is mic monitoring on the ps4 like that. But check your ps5 device settings and audio devices. there should be a 'sidetone' level, that's your mic monitoring, i know it works on the pulse headphone mic, but not positive it works with an external mic back to the headphones.

I don't believe there is a chat bot type interaction. But that is also a free tool you can use streamlabs or streamelements to set up. I think Streamlabs uses 'cloudbot' as a chat bot that you can set up chat notifications.
Hey! I think at the end of that video I show how to sign out of twitch on your ps4. But it should be as easy as going back to settings and accounts. Then in the linked accounts setting just choose twitch and unlink your account. If that doesn’t work let me know.
Can you please do a video on the new overlay expert update? I'm thinking of purchasing the new overlay they have for 20 dollars but not sure if it worth it , it's been out a few weeks and I don't think anyone has done a video of it ... Thank you
you can turn on the overlay in the broadcast settings that shows the chat on the screen, or you can use a table or phone to pull up your stream and monitor chat that way.
Question regarding audio when doing this. I have a mixer and such that I’ve done podcasts and such through. Is there a mic I should be looking at, or if I have a usb mixer would I be able to connect that and have stream audio from that (if this doesn’t make sense, my apologies. I can try to clarify my question if it doesn’t make sense) Essentially my question is, what is my best option for audio?
Mixers are always a better option. But they usually keep you from chatting in parties or games since they don’t send audio back to the ps5. I personally use a goXLR which is a mixer. I don’t really chat in games so it’s not a deal breaker. You would need a way to get audio from the ps5 to the mixer. If it has an optical audio port on the mixer I would suggest that. Or you could use the audio from the controller and plug the controllers mic jack into the mixer. Keep in mind once you had all that done, on the PC you would only have to sync your audio since it’s not coming packaged with the video but that’s easy enough and there are tons of tutorials on how to do that. With a mixer your mic possibilities are endless since you’re not tied to USB. I use and expensive Shure SM7B but it’s overkill. There are tons of xlr mics out there.

@@akoufos20 is the game volume going through the mixer? If it’s in its own channel on the mixer just turn it down there. Or in obs if it’s in its own device you can turn it down in obs on the volume slider. Or there’s always the option to turn it down in the game itself.
hi i have a question regarding twitch streaming on ps5, when im playing granturismo sport the quality is very low and it says 1080p. How do you stream and the quality is good. iv done research on this and some people said the twitch streaming on ps5 has a low bitrate and they dont alow you to change that.
Really all depends on you internet upload speeds. Just because it says 1080, if your upload speed isn’t fast enough to handle it, it will downscale it until it can. What’s your upload?
@@m4xripper that’s gonna be really tight, trying to stream and play a game at the same time. Might be worth it to try 720p just to see if it’s any better. Most people are watching on their phone these days anyway.
Twitch doesn’t have to be downloaded to stream from the ps5. It’s built into the options when you go to link your account on the ps5. Where are you saying it’s not showing up?

Game chat isn’t broadcasted. It’s a privacy concern to Sony if people are broadcasting other people’s chat. That’s why there’s an opt in for party chat as well.
Ive done everything right but twitch still says im offline and my stream isnt there on twitch! Help!!
Make sure you go to twitch and turn on two factor authentication. Then you’ll need to unlink and re-link your twitch account to your ps5.

Does Overlay Expert give you chat notifications for follows and subs so you can acknowledge them?

I believe it is a copyright issue. since you don't own the music, same reason that PlayStation blocks certain cutscenes and menus.
