The Vertx Delta Stretch have been my favorite pants for awhile now - the fit, style, comfort, and pocket layout has made it a home run for me over the past several years. Vertx recently updated the Delta Stretch to a 2.0 version, and in this video you'll find out what changed, and if the 2.0 live up to the legendary status of the 1.0. I for one think they did.

Love these pants. The mag pockets work great for larger cellphones. No more sitting on my phone or scratching the screen with my keys!
Damn man, I was literally just looking at them on their site. Was hoping you'd have a review up on the 2.0
Adam Kreuz you can find the old ones for 30 bucks on optics planet and a couple other places.. These one are not even close to as good! And the pleets are unfunctional cause they stitched them in.
I just wanted to thank you. I enjoy your videos. They are not just conceal/carry they are alot of things that interest me and I like to watch. My second thank you is, I just received my first pair of Delta 2.0 and yes I did indeed use your code. I love them you are absolutely right! Thank you for your opinions, and your honesty. Keep up the good work.
I have the 2.0 my only concern are the mesh pockets, as they are nice I worry about them tearing and losing what's inside my pocket. Other than that they are great. Keep up the good reviews!
MOUNTAINTRD - That’s my concern and what’s keeping me from buying. I hate mesh pockets.
I’m 5’9” and wear a 36 and found the 36-30 too long and baggy for my taste. A quick trip to my tailor later and I love them. The pocket layout is perfect! Thanks for another great suggestion Mike.
Thanks for the info, same size
how was the fit on the 36 waist?
Issac Gutierrez happy to help. And with the LLOD code it pretty much covered my tailoring costs.
Issac Gutierrez It depends. I’m on the heavy end of a 36 so the first pair was a little tight to carry appendix super comfortably. I grabbed another in 38 and it fits the waist much better when I carry, but they couldn’t take out enough fabric below the knee to make them have my perfect fit. But they are still fine. I just need to lose some weight and get to my real waist size so it’s not an issue lol
I bought the delta stretch and love them. If you’re use to a slimmer cut pant, these are as slim as vertex makes, which isn’t very slim. I had my tailor make some adjustments and now they are perfect.
I really want the leather back on the pocket tips/mouths. That would just add more character to it. Love the addition of the mag pockets though.
What a great information it's hard for me to buy pants so these type of videos help me a lot and you really do a good job explaining them .
Just received my first pair of the delta stretch 2.0 and am extremely pleased with the fit, quality and features. Everything you said they were and more. Thank you for all the reviews on your channel and I am especially grateful for the discount code. Placing my order for 3 additional pairs of the pants now. 3 bags, the pants and a few accessories later I am sold on the Vertx product lines.
Bought 2 pairs on your rec on Wednesday. They arrived in 2 days with free shipping!!! Very cool. They are awesome pants I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile and after I wear them for a bit, may just have to buy more. Thanks for the video!
I just bought my first pair of these. I LOVE THEM! Thank you. I hate trying to find pants. I am going to be buying a few more pairs.
Are this pants water proof? Would like a casual look pants but water proof
I got ready to purchase the Delta 1.0 after your initial review but hesitated, and within a week they were replaced by the 2.0. I ordered a pair of the 2.0 and liked them so much I ordered another and asked for a third for Christmas! Christmas day (while I was showing off my pants to relatives) I found a pair of 1.0s on clearance ($26) and ordered those. I like them ok, but the thing I absolutely like best about the 2.0 is the "mag pocket", which of course the 1.0 doesn't have. I keep my iPhone 11 in the left mag pocket. When in a casual environment I keep a skeletool in my right lower side "tool pocket", but when in a more formal setting I slide it up to the mag pocket, where you carry yours. These pants are extremely versatile. I can wear them with a button up dress shirt and dress shoes for office setting or throw on some boots and polo shirt for semi casual, or tennis shoes and a tshirt for working or relaxing around the house. I'm definitely going to have to check out the Cutback for summer.
Like everything about these pants except for the baggy fit around the legs. Wish they could taper the legs down a bit.
Thanks for the review! I have multiple pairs of the Delta and they have been my daily wear for the past two years during the cooler months. Those small side "knife" pockets are a must have for me and the way I carry my gear. I did kinda dig the leather, so it's good to see they'll bring it back from time to time, hopefully with more colors. These were already the perfect pant for me, the extra back pockets put these over the top perfect. It's great to know that Vertx listens to their customers, and I'm glad you have their ear because your assessment of these pants is spot on for my uses.
I tried out the first gen delta stretch pants because of you and honestly they’re best pants I’ve ever owned so far so bought a second pair because they’re were on sale. Maybe next Black Friday or a good sale I’ll try the delta 2.0 🤙🏼. My only gripe is i wish they made them in more colors.
I LOVE the 1.0s. Best pair of pants I've ever owned.
Looshbob I agree way better then the 2.0 I hate the mag pockets way to tactical for edc pants! I try hard not to look like a tactard
Just received mine in the mail and these are awesome! Thanks for this review and for the promo code!
You are very detailed in your review. The crouch length is important. Also I love the items you use for reference to size & depth ( aka glock 17 mag/ AR mag) . Tactical pants have improved with time, they are my go to travel & everyday pants. They are now more streamline, that was my gripe with the old Tac pants. Keep up the great reviews.
Thanks to these videos and subsequently discovering the Vertx delta stretch, I started wearing the 1.0 a year ago. Have since lost weight, reupped with the new 2.0s late last year. Great pair, my favorite by far.
I truly love the Delta Stretch 2.0, the Mag pocket fits even the largest of phones, and is the best spot to store it in. They're tough as hell too, brutally used a pair for 2 years now and no rips at all. They're the perfect pant for a lot of reasons imo.
I’m really liking my 5.11 Quest pants: tapered legs; nice pockets (little difficult placing my knife in the pocket, though, IMHO); super comfortable/no binding; stretchy material on medial legs. Bought a pair in all 4 colors. (No hidden handcuff key pocket that I’m aware of 🤔)
Full disclosure: I have nothing to disclose. No conflicts...just a satisfied customer.
Really appreciate LLOD content.👍🏻
The exact reasons you like the pocket layout are my exact reasons. Hate two in one location. Love the offset so you don’t sit on it. Love concealing other than clip so you can still look professional in an office setting. Love the zipper pocket when I don’t want to carry a wallet through airport I can zip stuff in and not worry about it falling out.
I like a shorter fly so I’m not zipping my 🥜 though.
I’m trying these with your core. Thanks bro! Great vid!
watching this vid wearing the same jacket and a LLOD holster and wolf grey LLOD blue alpha gear belt. perfect EDC gear
guess i need the pants now
I truly believe you should do a review on all their pants, its a must!
I bought two pair based off your review. They are my most comfortable pants but they are too baggy for my frame. I miss having atleast one cargo pocket.
My journey continues for the ultimate everyday pants
I do love these pants. You should totally talk them into doing the exact same in shorts. Though 99% of the time I’m in pants it would be nice to throw a pair of shorts on for a weekend of overlanding in the summer
I used to be a Vertx guy until 5.11 came out with their Apex pant. The best (for me) out there right now.
jonnyt16 I can’t wear anything 511 ! Just cause every vest wearing IDPA shooter wears them
I bought all 3 colors of the 2.0s and used your code (saved me a good chunk of $), that was a couple weeks ago. I absolutely love the new "mag pockets." I didn't know they weren't on the 1.0 but I'd hate to give them up. Just like you said, it allows me to put on a few more things/tools without sitting on them, especially if they have a clip. It's also a bit more private because my shirt often covers it, I can keep my PM2 (CPM S35VN btw) a little more hidden if need be. I also hang my work badge from this pocket and it doesn't bounce around much with my leg movement or look too silly way down near my knee.
I also got the same belt you are using but I'm disappointed in the sizing, I think I need a size down from my pant size of 32 waist.
Keep the great recommendations coming, you're awesome and I can't wait till I have a truck rigged out like you too!
Awesome man, glad they're working out well for you!
I've never bought a pair of pants without checking in with your reviews first.... now going to purchase the Delta 2.0s, Thanks 👍
how are they? durable around where packet clips would be?
Just want to say thank you for the code saved me $36 now we will see if I like the pants as much as everyone else does
I got a pair of the 1.0, never heard of them until I watched your video. They are my go to pants, most comfortable pants I own. My Carhartt pants are collecting dust.
Thank you so much for recommending these. My new favorite pants!
bought 4 pr of originals for $25 ea at end of year. They're great for stretch factor + can carry/distribute supertool 300, pocket knife, lighter, olight sii baton - no bulk, highly comfortable. Good review.
Hey Mike,
You should check out and review the new LA Police gear Jeans.
I bought a pair of those pants and they are my new favorite pants. For the price, I don’t believe they can be beat.
Just got a few pairs and love mine. I’m a 33x32 in regular slim fit jeans (with a LLOD aiwb G19 holster), with the Vertx I found that the 34x32 fits perfect with my setup!
Really like the new Wrangler all terrain pants. Extra pockets double knee. I wear them for work and really like them
I have two pair and absolutely love them. Most comfortable pants I have ever worn, great product.
Do they shrink?
@@whatfreedom7 After a wash and dry the material tightens up a bit but after wearing them for an hour or so they pants feel and fit exactly the same as when I originally got them. I do not think that they shrink at all, just my opinion. If you get a pair, you wont be disappointed.
Fusion LTs are nice too.
Great vid and review, LLOD!!! I've worn the 1.0's for the last 8 years and was in the market to replace a few that now have iron on patches over rips and tears. Thanx especially for the 25% off at Vertx...saved me a ton of bucks and I do like the fact that the utility pockets on the 2.0s don't have the leather...that leather was nice at first but it stretches out the belt clip of anything you try and slip over it! But now the 2.1s have it again so I guess I'm stuck with them again as Vertx doesn't have anymore 2.0s.... I snooze, I lose. Again, great vid and fringe benefit discount!
Like you said, this is your preference as they work for you. Good review, good looking pants. The tactical pants I have gone with for many years now is the Tru-Spec 24-7 Rip Stop 65%/35% Poly/Cotton Tactical Pant, Stain Resistant, Water Resistant, with a loose fit (which you probably would not like), Expandable Waist Band, and multiple colors to choose from including Multicam. Oh yes with 16-pockets, including knee pockets, 4-magazine pockets inside the 2-cargo pockets, "very" deep front pockets for pocket carry as well, and even more pockets. My only complaint is the crotch hangs a little too low.
Yeah those are a good value pant if those are the features you're looking or!
I have a pair of each color and love the 2.0 seams like the material is slightly different... great review!
I’m wearing my new 2.0s as we speak, and love them! I’m going to order a couple more pairs(?). Thanks for the recommendation.
mburke1211 look on line you can find 1.0s for 24-30 bucks
Instead of 80
I'm a big fan of Mountain Hardwear Hiking pants.. their medium weight pants are indestructible.
After viewing your review I bought a pair and absolutely love them thanks!
Glad you like em!
I have the 2.0 and concur that they are functional, durable and comfortable.
LLOD so right! Pair #2 today! Thanks again!
I like the LAPG operator pants with leg pockets. Those pants have 14 pockets, 16 if you count the knee pad pockets 🙂👍
I would definitely buy some of these, so might look into it after I am done losing weight. Don’t want to keep buying new pants.
Hope the weight loss journey goes well!
Last Line Of Defense So far it is, down roughly 28 more pounds. I am trying to get to 175, so still have 25 to go. But great review, you literally just sold a ton of these pants for Vertx.
Still need to try these, on my list.
i wish the blue alpha gear belt came in multicam and multicam black
I just purchased some 5.11 Stryke pants and really love them so far. The carhart cargo pants are great too. I use them when I'm working on fence and other farm work and they perform really well. I'll have to give these a try as well. Thanks for the info.
Delta Gnarly I started with the Stryke pants and moved to the Delta 1.0. The Stryke pants are lighter and give you more room all around. The material is also better suited for work around the house/farm. Love the Delta’s for work and going out.
I have an issue with the strykes because they don't have articulated knees and they're hot af
Just ordered 2 pairs with your code, Thanks!
Ha!! I’m traveling through your state at the Denver airport, and guess what I’m sporting??
That’s right. Love these pants. Incredibly comfortable.
Hah nice!
Can't wait to try some of these...unfortunately, they are almost always out of stock in my size, and when I've found my size it's been in the wrong color. Popular pants, thanks in no small part to you, I'm sure. I've got my LLOD code ready and waiting. :)
Amazon has them as well. Cant use the code but they might have your size.
@@El_Scorcho_ Good call. I checked there, too, but unfortunately they didn't have my size either. That said, that 25% off and a chance to support LLOD is worth using. :)
Hey some Duluth firehose stretch pants are 50 bucks on sale alot have even more features and will last longer
Please do a review of the Vertx fury hard shell jacket! Really curious how that one fits.
Just ordered a pair of the pants. Thinking about ordering the boots.
It would be better if it had a blend of synthetic to make last longer but probably more comfortable then my Propper. I like the Khul revolver and 5.11
I hope the mesh pocket lining proves to be durable. Sometimes I use an Alabama Kydex pocket holster, and it can be hard on the inside of pockets. The only thing keeping me from giving these pants a perfect "10", is that I do carry things in my back pockets; and I prefer flaps or some other means to secure at least one of the rear pockets. Nevertheless, after the video, I'm clicking on the link and ordering three pairs: if they have my size and the color I need.
Great review! I think it's finally time I pick up a pair
Sure would be nice if they'd restock the sizes in that pants. They currently only carry some for fat, I mean stocky, guys.
I like the pocket orientation but I think they look a little too much like jeans and may not be good for the office. I still really like the 5.11 chino for the office and the 5.11 stryke pants are still the best overall pants.
I wish they came out with a broader color range.
Thanks for the video Mike! These pants look a little to baggy around the calves/ ankles for my style, I know you're the pants expert so do you know of any with the same layout but "skinnier"? Thanks!
amzn.to/370K1sF
@@LastLineOfDefense thank you so much! Just ordered a pair. Hopefully you home with an affiliate link! Thanks again!
I have the 1.0's and love them. These 2.0s look great! I'm not a fan of all the color options though... The gray/charcoal ones look like they have different color stitching. Looks a little weird in photos. Thoughts?
if you haven't tried Triple Aught designs Icon RS Pant, i would highly recommend checking them out.
Own em, they're nice, but I don't like that they aren't stretch and don't have a pocket orientation that I like.
now the 2.1 pants are out!
I own all the colors of all the Delta Stretch and they are the best. Kuhl is the only thing that comes close. I'm glad the leather is gone for ease of use but I do like the way it looks. I also like the material of the 1.0 a little better and they feel a little more snug in the leg which I also liked better. I like the pocket lining of the 2.0 better. But overall the 2.0 is still amazing.
@Michael Shearer Absolutely 100% true. I will say I love their 3D cell phone pocket they have.
“Off the Grid: trailblazer 3.0” review!!!
I love the OTG trailblazer paints. The only down sides I've found is the extra "carpenter" pocket and the traditional jeans pockets in the front. Other than that they are great and comfortable
Yeah they're a pretty good pair of pants, but yeah I wish they pockets were arranged just a little different, and I'm not a fan of jean pockets in general either.
Hope I'm not too late for a request but I think you should do some reviews on a couple of the new pants from 5.11 like the abr pro and icon!
Have the original Deltas, got them for $25 and they are great!
Pants!!! LoL I haven’t put on pants in 5 days! I consider this winning!
Keep up the strong work! Watching from Boston.
3 knives. Primary knife and a backup and a backup for the back up.
As a Delta v. 1 owner ... a couple questions: Are the v. 2 pants made of the same fabric? It looks different in your video? Second question: Are the leg openings the same size? I felt the v. 1 leg openings were a bit large and was looking for a trimmer fit overall (but not 'skinny'). Would be curious to know what the legs measure at the ankle, mid-calf and mid-thigh. Other than that, good review.
I've tried several Vertx pants including this one, but I didn't like them too much. Fitment is very tight all throughout including the pockets. I'll stick to 5.11 unless I find another brand.
Try the VERTX FUSION STRETCH, you wont regret it. Theyre cut to accommodate big guys, or at least big quads/butt....
Mike, I'm with ya, I love these pants and loved the 1.0s. However, maybe you can send word to your contacts, if they made a simple black version (which I was hoping they would do with the 2.0s) I would be buying a whole lot more!
Always liked your channel. Keep it up 🇺🇸 ✊
I like your videos and I recently bought a few pairs of pants from delta and wanted to return one of the pairs because of the fit. Just and FYI, returns are a nightmare....they need to improve
new video from LLOD about pants?! Clicked ASAP
Yeah probably for the crotch shot lol
I wish they offered these in a tapered fit. I don't like having a pool of fabric at my feet. I hate the baggy look.
“I hope you’ve enjoyed staring at my crotch for 10 minutes”
If I told you 10 years ago you’d say that to hundreds of people, you probably wouldn’t have believed me. Haha
I'd say "idk, my family would be pretty disappointed if I went into porn"
@@LastLineOfDefense 10 minutes? Stop bragging! Haha
I'd like to see your opinion on the new 5.11 ABR Pro pants! I like everything besides the Velcro on the cargo pockets and stuff. I'll be sewing in buttons to replace that, but otherwise they are great so far.
They are great pants. Have a few. Wish the 2.0 came in od green
Yeah hopefully they release some more colors
Man the 1.0s are awesome! Also love the fusion stretch. Will say to stay clear of the phantom line. Really uncomfortable and not very breathable. Really seems like a vertx carhartt work pant.
These look awesome and I'd like to try them but they only come in 3 colors. The lack of a black/graphite is really disappointing.
I’ve never been this early, how is everyone?
We’ve all been doing well just as Mike hopes
Pants shots are helpful bruh 👌👌
Thanks for the review. I really want to get a pair now. After a year how do they hold ? Their long term toughness is the only thing you couldn’t show in your video so it would be interesting to know if they hold abuse well so far 😊 keep up the good work
Wish I could get them in black
What's the real difference between the Delta Stretch and the Cutbacks? Why would I wear one over the other?
mesh pockets are a no go those things can puncture if you have keys or anything with a point in your pockets
Haven't had any issues personally - but I would guess that they are indeed less durable in the long run.
I like these in terms of comfort and stretchiness, but I'm more a fan of the Vertx Fusion stretch pants. I like the cargo pockets and kinda bummed the delta's don't have cargo pockets. Not carrying the Glock 19 anymore?
You got to sway them to deliver to Canada man... :)
Awesome, just ordered 2 pair!
You need to look into 5.11 Tactical pants.
All the 5.11 reviews on UA-cam are already belong to me!
You should ask Ashley to review women's tactical pants on either your channel or hers. Get the women into concealed carry and help companies design better women's tactical pants.
These do have some nice features. I’m sold. I owned the 5.11 tactical jeans and liked the yolk pockets, but the cuffs wore out in like 3 months. I’m just wondering if I can fit a “Silent Pocket” faraday phone pouch in the yolk pocket to keep my phone in. I also wish they came in a couple more colours such as classic denim and a black washed denim.
That side zippered pocket is perfect for carrying a ruger or bodyguard 380 james bond style. Great review .
Haha Bond, James Bond
Try Tactical Distributors Cordell tactical pants. I have a pair and love them!
I’ll have to check out cutbacks. I have 2 pair of the Delta 1.0
You should review the Viktos Contractor AF pants
