The quest for the perfect tactical pants (shorts) kinda continues. I've loved the Vertx Delta Stretch pants for a number of years now, and have always wanted them to make them in shorts - but they never did. I ended up just cutting lower legs off old pairs and making my own, but now they finally have Vertx Delta Shorts, from the factory! In this random video I just talk through the Vertx Delta Stretch LT Shorts in fairly good detail.

You are the reason I love Vertex pants. I don't have the shorts but that's next, not because I am a fan boy but because they are awesome pants as is everything else they make. Compromise on your video styles… during the late spring and summer, when it’s beautiful outside, wander around outside and do a vlog style. When it’s winter, and cold as hell outside, sit in your soon to be UA-cam room and do a traditional review.
Or just refrain from doing clothing reviews. Leave that to the chick's. Nobody wants to see Mikey's knobby knees!
I love these shorts I have them in the 10” and wear them non stop. Awesome pocket layout, super comfortable, durable and great for ccw with the stretch!
As for colors, that tobacco color, the sand cookie kinda brown/green baby poop color, and grey are my favorites!

Definitely black it goes with everything! I like mesh pockets and I would keep the second zipper pocket because when I go to rides or anything I swap my wallet and keys there so they never fall out! Good to have the option imo
I like both styles of videos. Speaking for myself, I’ll be subscribed no matter what you do. Just a genuine cool guy. For colors I like the tan, maybe like a gunmetal grey, and almost a dark brown/mocha color. Appreciate what you do sir!
Love all the updates on what you got going on, that seems to be more vlog style. Honestly more on the homestead and would be great, but do also enjoy the reviews. For me the more content the better, as you are one of the few UA-camrs that I look forward too.
Big fan of the vlog style vids, especially in the infancy phase of the new home. There's always something cool and new that you find a way to fit in for those styles. Still like the sit-downs too.

I have both colors and love these! I ordered another set because they're so good.
If the Vertx/LLOD pants ended up being the Stretch with a longer fly I'd buy them. I like the earth tones they offer. I like the belt loop size and spacing. I like the two weights between the normal and LT version. I never use the hidden pocket outside of fidgeting with the zipper. If they made a more "tactical" pant I'd love knee pad insert pockets like the 5.11's. They are so nice for match days and yard/roof work which is why I always have a couple pairs in my closet.

First, keep going the way you are! I found the channel from a standard review years ago but I’ve continued to follow the channel because of your off the cuff videos. Keep a mix of both.
As for the shorts OD, tan, and grey would be the best color

Ok could be comfortable shorts. But not very Tactical unless one thinks tactical goes hand in hand with the Postal Branch of the Services. 😊

Kuhl pants have a useful pocket layout. The streamlined cargo/phone style side pockets are quite useful and barely noticeable. The slight rear side orientation can cause a slight issue for sitting depending on what’s in the pocket.
wait.......... THAT SHIRT!!!!! also... love off the cuff. Its personal, its real and honestly for me i need to do more off the cuff on youtube because i trip myself up by overthinking and over planning and that leads to not uploading at all.

Color wise I like gray, the brown like you have in the shorts in this episode.
A grayish OD, black, dark khaki/light brown are my go-to colors.
Random + vlog are very enjoyable.
I've recently in the past 6 months purchases 2 pairs of the delta stretch pants and the delta stretch shorts. I used to be a Jean guy with cowboy boots, but after wearing vertx pants, I absolutely love them. I would agree with the zipper length complaint. I do wish the fly zipper was longer. I would love to see a style of vertx pants that are more slim lined near the calf and ankle that would look good with a pair of brown cowboy boots. A pair that looks similar to traditional jeans in a darker worn blue would be awesome, or a darker brown would be nice. Thank you Mike for the reviews, because of your content I made the leap to vertx and love them.
Great review.. Lighter color brown/ tan and a longer ziper, by about 15 inches. These are near perfect.

My Favorite 3 colors in the Vertx Delta Stretch are: Tobacco, OD green and Sand Cookie (the lighter green that they only have in big sizes now). 4th would be the Tarmak ones they used to have which were Blue-ish.
Those that know and love your channel are cool with the vlog/ random style vids. I watch em all no matter what the topic. As for pants/ shorts colors… I prefer black, tan, and gray or maybe even OD green.
One of the things I miss on the delta pants vs others is the traditional “5th pocket” (the one you said you don’t like). It’s the perfect size for an AirPods case and keeps the case from being in the same area as whatever you have in the bigger pocket. I hate it when things stack up in a pocket so keeping it up higher helps.
I’m a big fan of coyote and Kuiu’s Ash. If we can get a slight elastic stretch on the waist to help compensate wearing with and without a holster! I prefer high pocket lips that run more horizontal and are triple stitched. The mag pockets are a must. If the back pockets can match the secure but zipperless style like First Lite Corrugate Guide cargo main pockets. Oh and stretchy of course!

Ramble on Mikey. I have been rocking bargain bin Costco pants for a few years but they all started giving way. They just don't last as long as a good pair of jeans or, I hope, these delta stretch 2.1 pants I've finally converted to. First impressions, very noice, pretty thick but breath well enough and stretch in all the right places.
My pants colors, in no particular order, OD green, some kinda tan, a darkish grey. I find these colors the most versatile for business and pleasure.
I'd love to see od, dark grey, and dark brown. Also Ariat jeans have a great knife pocket I'd love to see on both front pockets, Ariat only does them on the right side but I love that knife pocket because it keeps my knife/flashlight up front and when it's up front vs on my side/back like the vertx pants I know it harder to steal and it's easier to access
Pure black colorways always win me over; they're just the most versatile by a long shot.
Random videos, or whatever is most easy and frequent! And black, tan, and grey. The mag pocket in the back would be a nice feature.
Darker khaki, black, and grey with a 7”-8” inseam and you got me.
My go to color is dark/charcol grey. My lifestyle is too messy for black.
I carry a knife in right yoke poket and have issues with the clip tearing the stitches. Id like to see a thin leather tab for knife clips on all the pockets. The leather tab on the pen pockets are nice, but still a little too thick.
Thanks for putting me on to vertx. I can't live without the yoke pockets.
3 colors I'd love would be earth brown, khaki/tan, and od green. With bonus color be multicam. I personally love corgo pockets and the quick dry/stretch material.

Ranger green/ dark tan / light brown… earth tones are versatile for everything. I’d definitely buy ranger green of whatever design you make

Off the Grid Field 2.0 shorts are worth a try........By far my favorite every day shorts in Texas/Mexico heat. Next would be Stio, but they are proud of their stuff and really pricey!

I really like bluffworks shorts because of the pockets, but they're very expensive. Unfortunately i never got to try their jeans before they were discontinued. I found them after watching a video by the suited shootist.

Pants colors: black, faded OD, tobacco. The belt loop spacing looks great. Really annoying when they’re too close. I’m a big fan of natural fibers so keep the polyester and nylon out. I like cotton with a little spandex since everyone wants stretch. Back pockets are for show, so keep them flat and minimal

I love the style of the pants and shorts the only thing that I would personally want to see is instead of having two lower pen/ pencil pockets have one big enough to drop a phone in because I hate having it in my front pocket and putting it in my back pocket I constantly have to pull it out when I sit down

It’s all a matter of preference Mile, but I still prefer shorts that aren’t too short! I like them to the knees, about a 10” rise works for me. I like black and gray. Nice quality though. I just picked up some nice Wearever Cargo Shorts on sale at Costco for $12. Sale or clearance yo7 can’t beat Costco!

The hidden zip pocket to me is perfect for my wallet like the ridge allowing it separate from the other stuff.

If you want to properly drive I suggest going to a rally school (any of the popular ones will do). I've done quite a few schools, racing, and track days. I honestly haven't done a drift school though I have plenty of skid pad time. Best bang for the buck where most of the skills you'll learn transfer to street driving is rally. Car control on various surfaces, left foot braking, and more all make you so much more of a competent driver. Maintaining a beater for learning can take a lot of time and money. Each to their own, just my 2 cents from my journey to do the same. Good luck and always look forward to your videos.
