The best part of catching a big flathead is just watching them swim off they swim off so calmly and aren’t disturbed or spooked. Great flathead Nev. great video aswell keep it up mate.
In Australia and the rest of the world the fish is a Moses Perch part of the snapper or Lutjanidae family. Although readily caught its favoured by anglers just getting into lure fishing.
That little fish you caught at the end is a Moses perch. We catch them all the time up in QLD 👍Great video, thanks for sharing!

Fantastic video again Nev, great results really! I fished for Flathead up around Batemans Bay for years and never caught a big girl like that, well done mate. The Taylor by the way are really good eating when absolutely fresh, on the BBQ or even better on a spit over a fire. Magnificent!
