that formant preservation trick is my personal highlight of this video, but it has so many incredible techniques in it. you could literally spread this out over 20 videos if you wanted to, but you decided to make a single video where every other minute is like an explosion of knowledge in a synth so old everyone thought we knew all about it already, but we don't
That’s why I love what Austin said before on X: “No one really knows what they don’t know” It was a rate tweet by Mass Panic in one weeks ago,it was a tweet about“Who would win in a battle of DAW knowledge” Virtual Riot got 52% It’s not fair right? But the truth is right at your front
It's actually a very cool thing that someone who makes real music that scrolls practically every day on my Spotify, instead of keeping such a huge distance, normally shares how to make such music 😁. Just like that, cool that you are.
your old hypergrowl video was the first serum tutorial I watched back when I was brand new to production in the summer of 2018. Seeing it modernized today makes me so happy. Thank you for all the advice you've given us over the years
I really appreciate you giving us these insane tutorials and high-quality song releases. I'm so grateful that I found your music a little over 10 years ago! Never stop what you are doing. You a huge inspiration to me and hundreds and thousands of others.
I swear I learn a neat trick every time. I never thought about routing the velocity to the lfo rate! Man the amount of time this could have saved me! Also, fantastic tutorial!!! 🔥🔥🔥
come oh thumbs up ,let's express our gratitude properly; it's the least we can do when a Jedi Master gives tips away. may the force be with you ! this is the way👍
Amazing. The original hyper growl tutorial was my primer for music production. I just recreated it over and over until i was used to using serum. Love the updates
I have learned so much from you and I love your content. When I first started watching the channel you were speaking musical Chinese but I have become a lot more familiar over time. I am grateful for your constant influence
Dude, I know it's a lot of work but if you had created a music production course, with your production and pedagogy skills, I would have bought it without any hesitation!
I think that without the og Hypergrowl tutorial I would have never been as curious about sound design as I am now and I am quite thankful for you sharing that video all those years back. This new version is really awesome! Sounds more grittier than the og! Now if you'll excuse me, I have some growls to make : )
Sick Austin, thanks brother. My game improved massively from 2 years ago when I got your serum masterclass. Still learning and practicing this massive synth. Thanks for pro tips
no hate but it amazes me that in 2024 people still get excited about le growls, truly shows how personal musical taste can be dynamic or static (in a good way)
I love how the narration just feels like a cooking show
it is a cooking show if you think about it
bro cooking
@@KPUFFMUSIC 😭😭😭 so true
Cooking was never stopped ! it is hot since the beginning 🔥
I mean, he IS cooking.
assigning the velocity to the lfo speed is fucking genius
I only now realize how helpful assigning this to literally any useful automatable knob can be, can't believe I hadn't done this sooner
Van no swearing
its good idea, but in presentation it kinda sucked. Maybe midi was too busy to fully maximize the effect.
Haha Vanatice here less go!
that remap formant shifting trick is crazy
The original hypergrowl tutorial was my introduction to Au5. A beautiful gateway into the lexicon

Only 100 000? This is crime... You deserve much more

Still getting LOADS of sweet basslines from the „old“ hypergrowl tut, I’m so excited ! 😳🥳👌

@@nuclear_nkr will give it a try on the next one, shouts from Berlin ✌️
Classic Au5 innovating sound design like never before. Also congrats on 100k subscribers!!!
bruh people have been resampling in serum ever since it came out. Au5 is good but come on now
@@rhn4710 I am well aware of that!
@@DJPastaYaY "like never before" but ok man let's just go back to making music
@@rhn4710 No need to take the fun out of it. I'm just trying to complement him if that wasn't clear.

Just like that, cool that you are.
If you like musicians who do that then boy do I have good news for you, there are thousands of them
Few are this talented or this knowledgeable
I just came across a situation where a hyper growl would be perfect; looked up the tutorial only to find a brand new one. You are the goat dude ❤️
your old hypergrowl video was the first serum tutorial I watched back when I was brand new to production in the summer of 2018. Seeing it modernized today makes me so happy. Thank you for all the advice you've given us over the years

That demo drop goes hard.
this sytmth came out in 2014 or so, but still it has unlimited potential and not running out of sound it can do
Agreed, a good synth is timeless… I own a Virus TI since 2006 and it still my go to synth for sound design.
Cool haha, I have Dune3, it Sounds very good, virus vibe. But I dont know, I hear that they dont update Virus Software lot? @@julian-multiman
When someone can show you hundreds of hours of their craft, condensed down into its purest most perfect form, almost, like some sort of Serum....
I loved thcalm and no noncense turorial it made me calm. You dont scream like other youtubers. It was quite relaxing!
the sound design god is back
"Here's a little demo song"
is better than 90% of most producer's projects
i use velocity to lfo speed on env mode for basically every bass i make! So many other cool tips in this vid i will definitely be trying this out
Congrats on the milestone!
Yooooooo congrats on 100K! Knew about you since Sweet on Monstercat in 2012. You deserve every bit of your success!

You are the best bro! Thanks for the awesome and inspiring music, and the tutorials aswell
Congrats on 100k bro! Thanks for sharing this dude 💜
I like to do a similar thing to a static chorus, always fun because you can get different timbers out of different notes, resample, and mix and match
awesome!
