Looking GOOD! Drilling holes THERE looked to be a bit EASIER than the TEXAS hill country. Looking forward to next week’s update. Wishing y’all have good weather for the concrete pour.
Reminds me of my dad's. We called it the Bird House.... Because the birds it attracted!! His was built a little heavier for his 31' Airstream. LOOKS GOOD y'all!!
I have no idea? Dad didn't have any bird dunn on his Airstream that I remember. Might 1st try with a owl mannequin Ive heard in some cases this helps. @@thewrightlife
Congratulation! The structure looks great. I’m curious as to the hurricane / tornado rating for the roof and side panels. And also, if you wouldn’t mind sharing, a ball park cost for the structure. We need to build one here in Wyoming for our airstream. V/R DOSSFC
The building is built to the South Carolina standards and able to withstand winds up to 120 mph. Not sure what category of tornado or hurricane that corresponds to but should be adequate for most situations we would face. As for the load rating, because we are in the south the load rating isn’t built for snow, but I’m sure it can handle a “heavy frost” 🤣. As for the cost, I would tell you it is very dependent on the region and building requirements you live in. That said, we are still adding all the costs up, but I am considering making a video and detailing the costs once all the construction and improvements are complete. Safe travels and Merry Christmas.
Do appreciate your quick reply. As mentioned, we are going to build a cover for our airstream here in Wyoming. Where I had concern was in the wind rating considering the metal siding that was being installed. I’m relieved to hear it’s good to 120 MPH. In Wyoming, what most people call a blizzard wind, we call Tuesday; it gets a touch windy here. As to an overall (ball park) cost, I do hope you make the video you are considering. I’ve no doubt it will be most helpful to many viewers. Again, thank you for answering back. Both Sue and I wish you and your lady a very safe Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hope to meet you down the road. V/R Frank (DOSSFC)@@thewrightlife
We have something similar and love having a place to keep the Airstream covered. Kinda curious at today’s prices what your costs are if you wouldn’t mind sharing. Will you plumb for washing, waxing and dumping?
Thanks for watching and the comments. We haven’t completed everything with the build so the final costs are yet known. I have others asking as well so I am considering a video with a cost breakdown in the future. Safe travels and happy holidays.

Not one rock on the property. At least I haven’t found one yet.
Airport looking nice, congrats on the build!
Thank you. Safe travels and happy holidays.
Nice airport! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Mike…Time and Money. I need more of both 🤣

I was curious if our airport would attract birds. Any tips to avoid a mess with birds and bird nests?

Looks good. What is material you used for sides and roof?
The roof a sides are sheet metal. Not sure of the gauge.
Looking great!
Thank you. We are excited to see the finished product and to eventually move the AS to its parking spot.
Looking good!
Thanks guys…safe travels and happy holidays.
