It is my opinion that the Air Safe hitch and a WDH are serving two different purposes. One is intended to reduce the stress and fatigue of a ridged truck/trailer connection using airbag technology. The other is intended to evenly distribute the trailers tongue weight across the truck and trailer axles. Because they each serve a different purpose we have chosen to use a WDH with our Air Safe hitch. Hope this helps. Safe travels

I bought my Airstream used during the pandemic. It was outside of the manufacturer warranty so I don’t have any experience with working with dealers for repairs. Hope this helps.

@@thewrightlife thanks. So the line with the regulator that comes with the generator; I don’t have to use if I plug into the airstream quick connect on one end and the generator on the other end?

@@scottanton4374 if it’s the same generator as mine, then you still need to use the regulator that came with the generator. However, you will need to add a quick connect to it to use the longer LPG hose.

Hi…yes we can open the truck’s tailgate.

We generally share the cleaning duties but on this day I was filming so it is easier for one person to clean and the other person to film. You may ask why didn’t Lisa film and I clean? Well Lisa is better at cleaning and I am better at filming 🎥. Thanks for watching and safe travels.

We did the same thing for years. My problem was remembering which tank I was using between trips. I tried a few different methods and then decided to try out the Mopeka sensors. We’ve been very happy with them. Thanks for watching.

@@thewrightlife lol...yes, I get that for sure. My regulator has the switch on it, so I know that the tank that the switch is pointing to is the live one, and the other one which I leave always off is the spare. Until it is empty and then I switch the indicator to the other tank. Then I just need to remember to get the empty tank filled back up to have as a spare. :) Nothing worse then suddenly realizing both tanks are empty. Looking forward to follow your trip. We take off one week from today for a month or so as well. Looking forward to it.

💯agree…It takes FOREVER to drain the fresh water tank.

Frank…YES, we still tow at 63 psi. It’s worked well for us based on our rig. When towing, the tires warm up and the tire pressure increases to 70 psi. As for the Berkey, Lisa wraps it in a towel and places it in the shower. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and safe travels.

Are you using the propane outlet on your trailer or hooked to the tanks?

@craig-n1f …we are using the LPG outlet on the Airstream to power the generator (or Blackstone grill)

We’ve heard great things about them and considered them in the past, but we have a hard time justifying the price ($900). We’re keeping our options open.

The farthest west on this trip will be to Sedalia, Mo for the Airstream Rally….Then back East So much more to see out west on a future road trip. 🙂
