I Never fear a trim. Health over length. Love this
Do y'all see the stylist's abs tho😩😍😍
Yas gurl yas!
Jasmine Nicole her arms are toned too
That's all I was focused on. I need that.
That shower cap trick is so smart! Definitely helps with water dripping from wet to dry areas too!
This is actually my favorite way to get styled at the salon. Wash/condition, blowout, trim and then BYE! You're hair looks marvelous! Very healthy!
Your stylist was dead on. She did an awesome job!
I love youuuu and imma miss your salon videos ‼️😫
+Niyaah Kanae I luh you backkkkk!! ❤️ Aw I'll still try to make them, WHEREVER I end up! 😩😭

Hair only grows 6 inches a year, so if you get too frequent trims, there goes your growth. 2 to 3 times a year, provided she doesn't snip off "inches" of it, is not bad.
And also, this number may be more or less depending on the person. Hair grows between 1/4 of an inch to 2 inches very month for some people. Mine grows 1/3 of an inch, so I only trim every 6 months
And yeah you're right. Some hair stylists are scissor happy
+Cindy99765 and I see you again :D
My hair grows 12” a year. An inch a month.
Health over length. If you feel like you need it, do it. What’s the point of having long hair if it’s not healthy
Nice Chizi! Your hair looks great for having had no trim in 6-7 months. I get my ends dusted every 2 months. It's such a small amount it is not noticeable but my hair does so well with "fresh" ends. My hair is growing long, strong, and healthy! I kept the same trim schedule when I had texturized hair and I was able to retain length better than if I waited longer to dust. Just goes to show every one's hair is different and has different needs in order to thrive!
Oh no, I actually dusted my ends twice in twists between the 6months (forgot to insert that)cutting like an half an inch off total. So yeah, my hair does really well with fresh ends as well. I guess that's a big part of my growth trick - cutting lol
chizi make a video for the fellas... all this hair stuff is tiresome
+g33k707 BiancaReneeToday has some videos on guy hair
+g33k707 And so does GrahamsNaturalCurls
thanks cindy.. but its decent hearing it chiziamaka
Oh my goodness your hair grew soooo much!!! Looks awesome : D
Nothing beats the now I can float to lord feeling after getting your end trimmed.
My hair hates me at the moment . About to protective styling
Lol I'm on a journey right now for sure . Color damage 😞
+Lakeisha Draine how did you color damage it ?
+Queen Le box hair dye. I dyed it jet black and it made my curls looser , so now I'm working with two different curl patterns 😟
Lakeisha Draine Oh...I guess I've been lucky but from here on out I'll definitely be careful.
Good luck to you on your journey though!
+Lakeisha Draine aw that's the worst! braid outs really help blend two textures well. Good luck love
I do that shower cap thing all the time, gurrrl its necessary
Ditto!
I tried it out yesterday and it works WONDERS
4Cfacts!!! 💯❤
Hadiah Peters I'm wearing one now so I'll be nice & moisturized for church in the morning.
Your hair is so thick and dense. .... Beautiful
the only problem I have with protective styling is taking care of it while it's actually in the protective style. I just do it and leave it. then when I take it out...it's dry.
Wow you maintain really healthy hair for real for real...so this is the grown out length from the tampered cut I love sooo much. Hmmm healthy hair makes manageability so much better #hairgoals #happy
I want to get a legit trim on my hair, but idk if I can trust someone else to do that at a salon. I've been doing it myself and I think I haven't been doing it good enough.
I feel as though your hair is really going to grow well this year, its honestly looking so healthy and you seem as though you are in control of your ish :) well done xxx
You're happier looks great and you asks the stylist gave great advice.
Yasssssssssss. Combing hair when it's dry. Let a lady so my hair. Some braids. She just yanked on my hair the entire time with that comb. My hair was dry. I never comb my hair dry.
it felt like yesterday I was watching your tapered cut video. nice growth and your hair is thick and gorgeous
Yesss I love a good trim! It just warms my spirit
I absolutely love Jay Hair Bigga!!! She is soooooo Beautiful!! I love her channel..
Love the idea of the shower cap - stealing it thank you!!! Super smart !
Lol girl you always going to a salon and cutting your hair lol I'm like AGAIN? I need to treat myself to a salon visit. Haven't been in yearssss.
Be careful though! Some stylists cut off more hair than necessary.. They may add keratin treatment to your wash to make your hair more manageable, resulting in looser curls. Good luck!
+Alyssa Rein 😲 yikes!
LGnLA right! It happened to me (although it was self induced, I didn't know the effects of keratin on my hair) and now I'm hearing stories about stylists adding relaxers to shampoo/conditioner. Your best bet is a natural hair salon, I went to one recently and majority of the products they used(if not all) were by Design Essentials
Or just bring your own shampoo and conditioner
JoWithTheFro1 never been, any tips? I want to grow my hair more and I’m going to be going for the first time and I’m going natural my hair reaches down to my chin
love the instrumental music ahhh.... such escapism
stay natural ladies!
Ah HA! Seen your stylist in the mirror! She's gorgeous and so are you. 😍
her arms give me life💪
I'm definitely due for a trim. holding it off till I flat iron in a few months 😊
Omg Judith I can't wait to see how your hair will look 🌻🌻
Will you do it yourself?
Ditto
Great hair, great tips (shower cap WHO KNEW!!! 😱🤔👍🏽) & end results are brilliant 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I really enjoyed your video, love the relationship yourself and your stylist have. Great tips too 🙋🏽

Idk why I this was so satisfying😭
Thank You so much for posting this! It's the VERY FIRST TIME I've seen a New York-area salon on youtube! I'll look your stylist up soon. Thanks Again!!

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!
she did a really good job but this video taught me a lot, love your stylist girl!
I love the relaxing music and the helpful tips this videos was most helpful thank you
wow you hair is so thick and healthy! i just did a big chop in april and i already feel like i need to get it rimmed
"Someone else would be split up"....smh....sounds like me.
I kept flipping to the end to see the style lolol, did not occur to me that it was finished lol! Nice cut!
Great job! What kind of blow dryer are you using if you dont mind me asking. I like the way it got through the hair
Your hair grew sooooooooo fast!!!! OMG
Hi Chizi! Did you experience any heat damage or changes in hair texture? Or did your hair revert back exactly the way it was before? I need to cornrow my hair but i get breakage doing it in its shrunken state.
Someone doesn't need to be visually seen on camera to give their advice and knowledge on a subject.. And I believe she did that just fine! Nice outcome on the hair sis GOD BLESS.
yep Chizi....I told you your hair grows crazy fast! Maybe I should get a cut too to speed up this process.
Great Job! Love the cut.
New subbie. Thanks for reminding me to trim my ends
Hi chizi, i love your channell, youre always so chirpy. What products if any did your hairdresser use on your hair before blow drying?
I heard she's going to be at a salon in NY I can't wait to get my hair trimmed by her!
yep thats right! ill be in midtown! can't wait to meet you!
great video. my ends in the back is so so dry and rough. how can I put more moisture in my hair?
you are gorgeous and you hair looks amazing!!!
When cutting natural hair do you pull with tension while cutting it ?
or do you just comb thru it with the comb and place your fingers above the ends without tension??
I have never cut natural hair
Your hair looks very nice. That trim though 👌🏿
Your hair looks so beautiful, Chizi! What vitamins are you using?
people its hair it will grow back
Awesome video! i was wondering what split ends look like? i really can't tell if frizzy ends should be cut too. also i cut my hair with sharp regular scissors and i heard that was okay as long as they aren't dull. the next time i cut my hair will be in February and i think i will sneak my moms super sharp hair scissors instead. also im planning to cut half an inch every 3 months
Your hair is gorgeous. What product did she use to blowdry your hair ?
Love your channel!
Thank you! Love yours too!
Your hair is so beautiful how do you get it to be so thick any tips my hair is very thin .
How do you blow out your hair well... I tried with the comb attachment but it didn't work... Am I supposed to use the nosel thingy and a brush or something to bring it out??
Luv your rounded cut.
Lol i learned the hard way combing my hair dry.
Beautiful cut!
Your makeup is on point
Damn! Your hair grew so fast!
omgg your hair grew so much! i was getting excited to share the same length as you when you cut it and replicate the same styles heheehe, thats okay tho ! im ososoosoo happy for you!!!
I love to see people get good blow dries.
We saw her cut the back. It looked like she was very diligent, but that top portion, I'm not so sure. Your back and sides look healthier than the top front section.
Omg it's so healthy!
Love it.
your ends looking really good
I colored my hair and I trimed it two weeks ago and now I want to flat iron it should i wait since i got colored???
Omg your teeth are so nice
Your hair is so healthy and thick. #hairgoals 😍
what are you putting on your hair in between washing and blow drying.... my hair gets hard as a brick when i try to blow dry it. i end up air drying ..
your hair looks great
Beautiful👏🏾
i want a black hairstylist 🥰🥰their relationship is so cute
Love the background music
I have that same dress Chizi!
Your hair looks Really good
I follow your stylist on UA-cam. She has GORGEOUS hair
Me 2. The thickness is goal
lovely video. How did you record it ?
Are you still taking the spring valley vitamins?
my natural hair is naturally thick and fine, wish i had that thick hair of yours
and i loved the video btw
how is it thick and fine
i meant *thin and fine, im sorry 😅
loool
***** dense hair with fine strands
GREAT VIDEO
your hair looks so healthy
I'm not sure if you mentioned this but what salon did you go to? Where is it located?
what kind of paddle brush was that?? i neeeed it!
Now, she knows how to cut, correctly!
Looks very healthy and I like the style. Do I have to straighten my hair to cut it?
No you don't, just be careful so your hair doesn't come out uneven. You can do little finger coils and trim them or do it by section
Howdy people,
I hope you are all doing well.
I have problem concerning my hair. On watching this video I felt and understood all that was mentioned by both the stylist and Ms Chizi in terms of how often one would clip/cut/dust their hair in order of limiting split ends and overall hair damage.
Now the issue with my hair is I don't blow-dry my hair frequently nor do I flat iron it, and if I do, this is done no more than twice a year, but yet I still suffer from bad split ends...
....WHY IS THIS? I appreciate any comments.
FYI
My hair is always well moisturised
I wash my hair once a week
I cut my hair 3 times a year... Spring, Summer and Autumn
Hi Dollie Session,
You're so right. Deep condition is something that I don't do regularly, I do it once if not twice a year.
I will now start doing it at lest once every two weeks. I will also stop using the brush and finger detangle instead as I've noticed that the brush does cause my strands to snag. As for protective styling that is something I've always done (I've always been natural- never chemically treated my hair nor have I worn weaves or wigs. However, on occasions I personally install box braids into my hair.)
I will update you in 6 months notifying you of my progress :)
Thanks for the advice.
yahh it does look good
You’re hair is so full and luxurious looking? I need to trim my hair, I’m a couple of years overdue 😬 What scissors does Julie use?
Chizi, Beautiful as always......
JayHairbigga is getting
that body right~
:) thanks for noticing boo
Now does 4C hair grow slower than people who have mixed textures or is it a person by person basis
I have been natural since 2011 only wear the 2 string twist but I had flat iron twice to see how long have it gotten. Which is at my arm pit. But I don't understand why it looks thin when I flat iron it. Please explain.
this was perfect,
love it
what brush was she using to blow dry your hair?
Wow I didn't come my hair so often and sometimes I did it without moist that's my fault thanks 4sharing
Beautiful skin and hair.
