Supra Steve you rock!!! Keep it going Brotha!
Bingo. How can you point at them sitting neglected (out in the elements) and say you bought them to save them from sitting neglected and out in it elements 😂 😂😂😂
If you saw where I found some, most of these cars I think you’d be a little more understanding. I pulled a 97 stat lhd 6 Speed out of a swamp that began to develop when the car was left for dad 6-7 years prior. The desert seems to inherit a large number of Supras, which isn’t a healthy topography, but compare it to a region that snows, whether it’s seasonal or year round is when the elements have the most potential to decay and degrade the cars integrity.. I would prefer a salvaged car that was flooded or in the middle of a desert over a Supra that spent its life stored outside in a snow covered topography. The potential nightmares that could develop on cars this old that end up stationary in snow clad environments have the most negative impact on the integrity of these cars in comparison to any other atmosphere. The outdoor location of these vehicles is actually overflow parking for cars that are still under the knife, once a cars completely restored it’s allocated to my shop or house. When you have this volume or vehicles and they’re all project cars or neglected for a decade then storing them in this atmosphere is typically a huge upgrade from where they were picked up from. Between car covers and windshield visors they’re pretty secure against the elements. When the weather is serious I can fit atleast 10 inside the barn as well. One of my biggest issues I dealt with when my inventory increased to a volume this large was storing them safely and this location is so well hidden the cars get protected. If you saw my garage or shop you’d have an idea of how serious I take keeping these cars in temperature controlled environments away from the elements, I even put covers on the cars indoor to evade dust etc, I’m only one person and the condition these cars come in are usually a travesty. I to significant lengths to restore them fully and appropriately and have pretty high standards. If I had more money or any financial backing I would love to build a large enough shop to keep them in but that’s not the case so I work with what I have, if I continue to maintain a volume this large I’ll end up building my own facility but one thing at a time guys. Owning one Supra is typically a full time job, so try to imagine maintaining a fleet. If I had sponsors or generated more revenue these bad boys would be housed in a garage style estate where I could live with them. But in the end, your right. They shouldn’t be outside, my personal trio of mkivs have never seen rain since purchase so I get it.
