How I Learned Italian in 7 Days (ft. Nathaniel Drew)

- In this video, I used Nathaniel Drew's 4 stage language learning strategy to help me learn Italian (my families native language) in 7 days with the goal of having a conversation with my Nonna.
I have zero experience with languages and have always thought it would be too hard, too time-consuming and I was too old to even try. But when you switch your mindset from a fixed one (where you avoid challenges and believe you aren't good/smart enough) to a growth mindset (welcome's challenges, believes failure is another opportunity to grow, anything is possible with effort), you would be amazed what you can achieve.

Che mondo sarebbe senza le nonne! 😃One of the biggest difficulties I have as an Italian teacher is convincing my foreign students to write by hand to help memorize words, rules and concepts. Most of them flatly refuse 😅
I agree with the association of words with images, sounds and even situations for a beginner. Bel video!
Haha agreed! Hmm yeh I'm not surprised, because it is way more tedious, however I think writing by hand definitely ingrains the words into ytheour brain much more efficiently! Thanks so much for watching the video!!

Nice video man. My 1st month wasn't as good as yours. Crazy to think people are able to be impromtu conversational with only 7 weeks of studying their first language. Some translations were bit off but really good for a beginner. Che armadillo, Aaron.

Hey Aaron, my love for italy is so immens that I wanted to learn italian. So I also stumped upon the video from Nathanial and I want to start right away. Though i see so many different lists of the most used italian words that I am lost, which one should I choose? And when I am done with those words how can I start with making sentences? Love your video’s your killing it!

Aaron, your Italian was great... but plating un-sauced pasta, then ladling some sauce on the top -- will get you thrown out of the country when you go to Italy. ;)
