Washington Neves I did about an hour per day, but in the last few months I was less consistent. There were some days where I wouldn’t feel like studying Italian, and I feel like that hindered me from doing as well as I could have. I managed to have two 30 minute conversations on Italki without much strain, but I honestly wasn’t satisfied with my level. Nowadays, I’m slowly starting to build it up again.
You must be the only Italian that had not moaned about him doing this. Just wounder those that are giving him shit can do what he has done in just 24hrs? Not many at all.

@@skedaritou8138 imparare le basi può risultare abbastanza semplice, soprattutto se qualcuno ha conoscenze delle lingue romanze/neolatine. OMG i'm so glad he said Italian was so hard. This guy can learn so many languages so fast so as someone that lived in Italy for two years, I was happy to hear it was hard for him too. Makes me feel so much better lol! As someone that spent their last two years of highschool in italy I can honestly say I understand now when people talk about his accent in Mandarin cause only if you live there and hear the accent can you learn it. This was awesome!!! Thanks Xiaoma!
His speech might sound "good" simply because he knows some Spanish, which can be heard in some sentences. He has an anglophone accent, although much better than the average anglophone trying to speak Italian. Most of his wrong grammar is borrowed from English, and some words from Spanish. Anyway, it's a 100% good start for a 1-day approach to Italian as a foreigner.
I guess Russian would be an easier one to start with if he ever goes for Slavic languages. Then afterwards, he could maybe go for harder ones like Polish or Czech?
11:15 don't be surprised man. Fun fact, there are a few swear words/common words that only make an appearance in only the dialects of the northern Italy, where people that live in the southern areas don't understand the meaning of, and vice-versa. If you would like to learn an Italian dialect, I suggest you go based on which ones you like the sound of, but good luck if you're going to learn the sardinian dialect. That's really and I mean REALLY challenging to learn and speak fluently. Ps. I'm Italian and, to me, Xiaoma speaks really well, for having studied only 1 day. ONLY little complain is, be sure of what you're gonna say, we usually don't like people who get stuck on a word because of insecurities, just say "fuck it" and speak your words.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a bilingual environment (Chinese parents but raised in Italy) I must say that Xiaomao is as brave as talented. Keep on making awesome videos because I think we're all here waiting for you to learn more languages!!! btw my favorite video is the ear cleaning one :D
Italian is similar enough to Spanish in both vocabulary and pronunciation that people are able to pick it up a lot easier as opposed to say, German or Russian
Damnnnnn, he learned how to converse in Italian in hours and after 2 semesters, I am not as fluent!!! Lol. Where do you find these tutors though??? That was interesting
Yes italian is hard. It’s hard because it sounds musical, doesn’t only have to make sense. It’s harder than it should be, but if you learn it, you make some really good friends
@@teo0444 every parts of the phrase has to fit with the musicality of the sentence. If you hear, the parts of the sentence, change depending on the words you use. Spanish is way easier because they use less articles and grammatical parts. The first thing you usually do, is learning the verbs and names. And then you learn how to fit articles, etc. my guess tho. I found english very easy to learn. It makes sense it is one of the most spoken language in the world, because the articles are 2 only and verbs are way easier to learn. I love it. Italian has to be spoken cleanly, like if you are singing. It’s hard to explain, I am sure a teacher would do much better job than me explaining it 😂
The amount of lexic you ve learned in just 1 day is unbelievable, the pronunciation isn’t the best, of course, but as an Italian I can tell that you’re pretty smart and fast to learn, keep it up.

To be precise 'idioma' is still existing in the Italian vocabulary but is a kind of aulic literary term (in Italy is never used). The truth is that in this specific context 'idioma' is the spanish translation for 'language'. We sai 'lingua'. So the correct version is: "Io penso che l'italiano SIA (congiuntivo presente del verbo *essere*, terza persona) una LINGUA difficile". :)
@@bastianse8235 hola :) decimos que podemos por lo menos intentarlo, porque en realidad los dos idiomas tienen algunas reglas muy diferents, el sonido de la pronunciación es muy diferente también. A couple of my friends here in America roll their own cigarettes too, I thought it was a waste of time but they actually are cleaner
Also the flavour of the tobacco is better

Yes it’s very common, 14 out of every 10 Italians smoke 👍

I think that's how he categorizes it in his mind to remember it
Fun fact: Italian is one of the languages with most profanity words in the world, and its *one of the few with blasphemy (really volgar words which curse the religion).

Hi, I'm italian and I really appreciated your efforts to learn italian in only one dayyy... and you're doing really well btw. If u wanna know some interesting things about Italian culture, you gotta know that in Italy we have 20 regions and in all of them there are a plenty of different piece of arts, dialects, foods, places...One nation and such a different way of seeing the world all over the country.
There's a lot to found and learn here, and I hope you'll find these treasure, maybe coming here soon🇮🇹
Hello fellow Giuseppe
I speak 5 languages myself, but you are something else my friend. I deeply respect the effort that you show in learning all those languages. Well done sir !

@@lucaripoli2717 😂😂
Washington Neves I did about an hour per day, but in the last few months I was less consistent. There were some days where I wouldn’t feel like studying Italian, and I feel like that hindered me from doing as well as I could have. I managed to have two 30 minute conversations on Italki without much strain, but I honestly wasn’t satisfied with my level. Nowadays, I’m slowly starting to build it up again.

OMG i'm so glad he said Italian was so hard. This guy can learn so many languages so fast so as someone that lived in Italy for two years, I was happy to hear it was hard for him too. lmao I love the fact that he's called Ciro that's the most stereotypical name you could find in people from Naples
he’s pronunciation is better that me and i been learning Italian around 6 years
How
That’s not good, his Italian isn’t that advanced chill
His speech might sound "good" simply because he knows some Spanish, which can be heard in some sentences. He has an anglophone accent, although much better than the average anglophone trying to speak Italian. Most of his wrong grammar is borrowed from English, and some words from Spanish.
Anyway, it's a 100% good start for a 1-day approach to Italian as a foreigner.
As an Italian you did a great job given how hard our language is! Congrats
You should challenge yourself and try to learn a Slavic language😃 polish would be a good option🤔

He got the pronunciation from Spanish you can clearly tell, that's why he speaks it so well
Yes italian is hard. It’s hard because it sounds musical, doesn’t only have to make sense.
It’s harder than it should be, but if you learn it, you make some really good friends
what do you mean? I’m so curious because I actually love this language. “musical”?

"Io penso che l'italiano è un idioma difficile"
Me: *waiting for the guy to correct the little mistake*
Guy: "Si...decisamente!"
Lol ❤️
What mistake?
To be precise 'idioma' is still existing in the Italian vocabulary but is a kind of aulic literary term (in Italy is never used).
The truth is that in this specific context 'idioma' is the spanish translation for 'language'. We sai 'lingua'.
So the correct version is: "Io penso che l'italiano SIA (congiuntivo presente del verbo *essere*, terza persona) una LINGUA difficile".
:)
The mistake is really comprehensible, but surprised me the teachers reaction lol
