Welcome to my city!!! ❤ Hope you enjoy it. You guys gotta check out Eat Street while you're here, there's also an amazing ice cream/gelato shop in West End (vintage, op-shoppy area) called Anita Gelato. There is always a huge line but it is so worth it!
Ahhh we wanted to check out Eat Street so badly but didn't end up getting around to it during our short visit. Will definitely be back for that!! And oh my gosh we actually had Anita Gelato on our first night in Brisbane and LOVED it.. we went back every single night after that hahaha
Your videos are my comfort place and I would like to thank you so much for every single one!! Also I can't wait for you to start your podcast again! Much love

I did three stints in Brisbane, between 1973 and 1996. My daughter still lives in Brisbane. So I have seen Brisbane develop over the years, and what you see today is not what I saw in 1973, trust me. Nevertheless, today it's my favourite city in Australia. What they have done in the past three decades or so is nothing less than phenomenal. I was there when they first introduced the river ferries. I didn't think they'd last, but they proved me wrong. They've been around for close to 30 years now, I think. The trick was that they're not in fact ferries, but more like a river-borne bus service!
Welcome to Brissie! So much to see & do in the greater Brisbane area. Lots of contrasts. True, many people generally go the Gold or Sunshine Coasts for beautiful surf beaches, but we have islands (check out North Stradbroke "Straddie" or Moreton (Tangalooma Resort) for laid back beach vibes & gorgeous sandy beaches). Also Bribie Island. Different suburbs have very different characteristics - some old & quaint, some new, some seaside (eg. Manly, Wynnum, Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Redcliffe - all great in their own way). Heaps of parks & gardens. Southbank is s must-do, & Mt Coot-tha. Then there are the surrounding rural towns, lakes, waterfalls etc in the hinterland - eg Montville, Maleny. You two have a beautiful outlook on life - I know you will love it here. How long are you staying? - more than happy to show you around a bit if you are here for a while. Cheers! (Try a shandy! - I'm not really a beer drinker either, but it's pretty good on a "stinking hot day"! 😊🍻
I love that you loved my home town, there’s something for everyone with the most charming, laid back vibe for a city. Such a perfect place to just wander and enjoy our great, local hospitality ❤
Hello! Welcome to Brisbane! I moved here from Sydney about 8 years ago and I'm never leaving. I love the laid back, small city feel. I'm an easy walk from some of the places you visited and feel very grateful that I get to enjoy it all the time. I'm going to share your video with some of my friends from the USA (they want to visit Australia).
So nice to see you in my city!!! you picked things that I would definitely tell a first-timer to check out :) was so surprised you went to the Milton markets!! a lot smaller than most, but always make for a nice Sunday. Hope you enjoyed your trip!
Haha yess Milton Markets was somewhat small but we really enjoyed it, and loved the more intimate & local vibe to it. We absolutely loved our time in Brisbane, and hope to come back soon 😍
@@juanmarcelandrhylancan I suggest the West End Markets on Saturday morning at Davies Park for your next time. Great people watching under beautiful fig trees next to the river and great for picnics.

Love rewatching all of your blogs again and again lol, love you guys and the content 😍🫶 although very out of context question what camera do you guys use ?
With the beer, you can order a 'Shandy' it's beer mixed with lemonade and makes it much more tolerable to drink. You can also order a 'Lemon Lime & Bitters' which is super refreshing and 'basically' non alcoholic. It has such a small amount of alcohol that kids and pregnant women drink it no problem.
I enjoy your vlogs so much and especially this one! I´m thinking of doing my abroad semester in Brisbane and this video just made me fall in love with this idea even more!🙈💓
Yeah, that’s what I did. I’m a permanent resident now 😂 so are two of my best friends from Germany (one of them has been here for 10 years now). Australia has a way of catching you and not letting you go again 😬
From Sydney glad you liked our city, Brisbane is a beautiful city, it has a similar feel to Sydney just a bit more laid back, enjoy your time there, if you can get out to see things like Glasshouse Mountains and Moreton Island you will be blow away.
I go through phases with beer. But what got me back into it was adding coke to it. It makes it soooooo much easier to drink. Like incredibly easier. You add to taste, so add maybe half a cup first, taste it and add more if you need. It honestly helped me find my love for beer again. And now I can drink it without the coke 😊
Perfect timing - just checked the weather in Brissie this week and it looks like 6 days of rain. Still, even that would beat the heat and humidity that Queenslanders have to deal with in Jan-Feb. Happy trails.
Omg this is my city! so glad you guys enjoyed it here, it's always nice to see a place from your eyes through these vlogs. Take care on your travels and come back soon!
Not for when y’all are in Oz, but maybe when you get back home have Rhylan try a very cold Blue Moon with a slice of orange or an ice cold Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy. Both are solid options for non-beer drinkers. Light and fruity just don’t let them get too warm!!! Can’t guarantee either will be her “go to” beverage choice, but they will give her options when you want to have a beer together! Cheers 🍻
Blue moon with an orange slice is one of my all time favs! I’ll definitely have her try that when we are back in the states, thanks for the reminder haha
Great vlog, but you might want to check out South Brisbane and South Bank! I live in the area, never get bored of walks in southbann, and walking my dog over the Goodwill Bridge to the Botanic Gardens is always a highlight. Don't forget about Mount Coot-tha for a romantic sunrise and the beautiful Roma Street Parklands.
I have a suggestion for getting Rhylan into drinking beer….try a Japanese beer like Asahi because it’s brewed with rice. I didn’t drink beer until I went to Japan and discovered this was more palatable because it’s sweeter. From there I started branching out into other beers eventually! I love Brisbane. Enjoy!!
you guys are so lovely! i love watching it. Such a harmonic beautiful couple ! i feel so peaceful watching it! Specially in Australia, which it one of my favorite country
No daylight savings in Brisbane it gets enough natural sun for months and the best part in summer for me when the humidy is high is when the sun goes down.

I was also not a beer drinker but in Germany we have a beer called Radler. Basically its beer with a bit a Sprite, its super light and not bitter she should try it its amazing and refreshing
I also dislike beer Rhylan! But in Spain we have something called "una clara" that is basically a beer with some lemon added in it and it tastes way nicer. There's also an actual brand (Amstel) that makes a beer called Radler and is also like a "clara", I think you should definitely try it some time! Love your vlogs guys! 💕
@@juanmarcelandrhylan, you don't have to be in Spain. Keep your eyes peeled for "Radler". Wikipedia: "Radler Radler (German: [ˈʁaːdlɐ] ⓘ, German for "cyclist") has a long history in German-speaking regions. It commonly consists of a 50:50 mixture of beer and a lemon-flavoured soft drink.[2] The term Radler originates with a drink called Radlermass ("cyclist litre") that was created by innkeeper Franz Kugler in the small town of Deisenhofen, just outside Munich. During the great cycling boom of the Roaring Twenties, Kugler created a bicycle trail from Munich through the woods that led directly to his drinking establishment.[citation needed] While the term Radler has been widely attributed to Kugler, the combination of beer and soft drink is documented in texts dating from 1912.[3] Radler is consumed not only in Bavaria, but also in Germany, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Portugal, Netherlands, Norway, Bulgaria, the United States, Canada, and Romania. In northern Germany, a half-and-half mix of Pilsner beer and soft drink is known as an Alster (short for Alsterwasser, German: [ˈalstɐˌvasɐ] ⓘ, German for "Water from the Alster", a river in Hamburg). Regionally the Radler and Alster may refer to shandies made with either citrus or orange flavoured softdrinks, with the two terms either contrasting or referring to the same drink. In Austria, a saure Radler is a mix of lager and soda water.[4] In Austria, it is common to use Almdudler instead of lemonade for the Radler. Radler is very popular during the summer months due to its low alchohol content and reputation for being a 'thirst-quencher.'[5] In New Zealand, the word "radler" was trademarked by DB Breweries for their "Monteith's Radler" beer, which is a citrus-flavoured, full-strength (5%) beer.[6] This has led to some brewers to use the names "reldar" (Radler spelled backwards) and "Cyclist" (the literal meaning of Radler).[7] In the Netherlands, shandy and Radler are largely seen as two different drinks, shandy being a 0,5% alcohol drink popular as a children's drink during the 70s, as not >0.5% was officially seen as non-alcoholic.[citation needed] The classic Radler, known from Germany, and since a decade or so[when?] also sold as pre-mixed drinks in increasing popularity by most large Dutch beer brewers in increasing variants.
Great video, You should definitely check out the Gold Coast and if you can you should go to Nimbin it’s a 2hr drive from the Gold Coast also the Sunshine Coast is nice too
Another great video! It'll be interesting to see your next video in the Gold Coast -- I've only been there once (more than a decade ago), and the most memorable part of it was the big outlet shopping centre and buying Adidas Sambas on sale! I should probably make better memories, but TBH I just didn't love the GC as it struck me as being really tacky. A lot of people just go for the amusement parks and meter maids I think. I definitely prefer Sydney and Brisbane, but that's just me.
We were pretty nervous about visiting the Gold Coast, especially after seeing that the main highlight appeared to be the theme parks.. but as you'll see in next week's vlog we absolutely LOVED it!! We ended up finding a ton of special things to do that are more our vibe, and we're super excited to share it with you 😍

It would be interesting to see you guys spending a day apart abroad like what would the other spend their day doing….idk I think it would be interesting to see!
If you don’t like beer but like ciders. Sour beers or beers with a fruit element or shandys are a good start and are the types of beer I now like to drink 😊
Personally i don't usually like pure beer that much but if its mixed for example the brand Becks lemonade or in Germany there is a beer called Alsterwasser its beer mixed with sprite (LEMONADE) , I luv drinking that in Summer. Rhylan u should try that.
We are trying to plan an interrailing trip starting up in Copenhagen and working our way down via train to Portugal. Top bucket list trip for us next after all this!
I could never drink beer until I started trying flavored IPA s !! I know IPAs are strong but the flavored/fruity ones dont really taste like beer ! Or you’re always safe with a cider ! Most breweries (at least in the US) have good ciders
Brisbane is getting bigger and more interesting with every passing year. Queens Wharf casino opening this year is an example. So brisbane offers different things compared to sydney or melbourne for example. Agreed the CBD is small and mostly just a corporate district but Queensland is all about the outdoors with its warm tropical weather. Tourism in Queensland is very spread out - you need to go out of the CBD which you need just a day to explore. But then you can spend several days away on the Goldcoast, the Sunshine Coast and the various islands off the coast. Come back again after 2032!
I’m from Sydney- I always thought Brisbane would be boring, but came here in 2016 and never left 😊

In the Netherlands, shandy and Radler are largely seen as two different drinks, shandy being a 0,5% alcohol drink popular as a children's drink during the 70s, as not >0.5% was officially seen as non-alcoholic.[citation needed] The classic Radler, known from Germany, and since a decade or so[when?] also sold as pre-mixed drinks in increasing popularity by most large Dutch beer brewers in increasing variants.
Great video, You should definitely check out the Gold Coast and if you can you should go to Nimbin it’s a 2hr drive from the Gold Coast also the Sunshine Coast is nice too
Gold coast is next week's vlog!! So excited to share it with you :)
We ended up finding a ton of special things to do that are more our vibe, and we're super excited to share it with you 😍
Stone and wood pacific pale is a delicious beer. I like a good xxxx sumer lime. Im a sweet tooth and i work in the Brisbane sun and i love a beer in summer. So glad you had a good time. Mountain Culture won best beer 2 years in a row! They came from the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney.
My husband loves it and it’s the only one that I can have a sip of and don’t hate!! Try it out!!!
Loved your video of Brisbane. My home town. A great refreshing beer is a ginger beer, there are non alcoholic and alcoholic ones, some really great ones to try. Cheers 🍻
It would be interesting to see you guys spending a day apart abroad like what would the other spend their day doing….idk I think it would be interesting to see!

Green Beacon Wayfarer converted me to a beer drinker- also brissy brewery!
Jubel Beer! I don't like beer at all but this is so nice. It is cut with peach or elderflower. A light and sweet beer drink!
Ooh see that sounds so nice!! Okay writing this one down.. thank you!!
If you don’t like beer but like ciders. Sour beers or beers with a fruit element or shandys are a good start and are the types of beer I now like to drink 😊
Very nice thank you for sharing 🇦🇺
Thanks for watching ❤️
I just moved away from Brisbane after living there for 5 years. This is going to be my new comfort video 🥹
Oh and for the beer, try drinking a “sour” (fruity beer)! That’s the only kind of beer I like.
Brisbane is so beautiful city, so very green, I love it so mach❤
We loveddd it! So beautiful!
Great northern light would be my suggestion. It's what got me into beer. And I was a hard no to beer
Welcome to Qld!!
Thank you so much!
Great video. We love Brisbane!
If you aren't fussed on beer, try a Corona with lime. Easy drinking summer beer
Nhạc ở phút thứ 6:50 là gì vậy nhỉ?
im waiting for the gold coast vlog 😌❤️
Hopefully you enjoyed it 🤍
Wow the headphone movie thing is really cool!
this is a bit late but she should try a pale ale mixed as a shandi (half lemonade and half beer). It's a perfect drink for the ladies
Rhylan should try Balter XPA beer! It’s brewed on the Gold Coast if you’re heading down that way.
Brisbane is absolutely beautiful
It definitely is! So green & sunny 💓
If you don't like beer, ask for a lemon lime & bitters, a classic australian drink served anywhere
So cool
Thank you!!
Personally i don't usually like pure beer that much but if its mixed for example the brand Becks lemonade or in Germany there is a beer called Alsterwasser its beer mixed with sprite (LEMONADE) , I luv drinking that in Summer. Rhylan u should try that.
Ooh this sounds nice, I’ll give it a try sometime!
Ryan could try one of the craft beers infused with Mango or lime etc. Only beer I drink any more.
Sorry I meant Rhylan, it's auto spelcheck
I used to not like beer. Get Rhylan to try 1664 Blanc, fruli
Try Matso Mango beer. I don’t like beer either but will happily drink mango beer. It’s from WA so you may have to search for it.
You should come to Copenhagen Denmark in the Summer, I'm pretty sure you would love it.
We are trying to plan an interrailing trip starting up in Copenhagen and working our way down via train to Portugal. Top bucket list trip for us next after all this!
put lime cordial in it- lime and lager is what got me drinking beer
Came to beautiful city in world Melbourne ❤
Coming soon ❤️
Melbourne? 💩🤮🤮
Try a non-alcoholic ginger beer specifically Bundaberg Ginger Beer.
Love Bundaberg!! Hahaha
Brisbane
I can’t think of a good beer, but if you dilute it with (Australian) lemonade it’s called a shandy, and it’s drinkable 😂
