I was lucky enough to have 4 days in Brisbane on my backpacking trip up the East Coast. I stayed in Selina Brisbane, went hiking to the Mount Coot-Tha lookout viewpoint and did a day trip to Moreton Island on the Australian Sunset Safaris Get Wrecked Tour. We went snorkelling around the Tangalooma Wrecks, kayaking and sand boarding as well.

Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I was visiting Brisbane from the UK in 2013/14 - took the easy route up there in the car even one night as well as astronomers set up there telescopes and let you see - I saw Jupiter 😁
The tour looked like so much fun! The Selina hostels seem great especially for people working online, would love to check them out at some point 😊

YAY! Brisbane is my favourite❤. The Selina hostel you stayed in used to be Base Backpackers when I was there in 2019. I loved it! I hope I get to go back one day. I love seeing it through your eyes/videos too! If you ever go back, try eat street markets. You can take the ferry along the river, and it's basically a load of shipping containers converted into food stalls, so much good food to try. Bit spenny if you're hungry but a fun little evening adventure to try.

Brisbane looks so fun!! I would love to go to Bianca, the free ferry, and the whole island tour! Oh and also try the chicken thing you ate in another vlog. but not Selina, I’ve had the worst experiences in their Mexican and Guatemala locations 😅
