The most impractical houses, you invite people over to show off your house, and now they have this impression you have money to sponsor their pet projects and dreams, and if you don't give them money they run off. So you end up alone in a big house...or end up with no house after everyone has conned you out of your money. I'll take the affordable suburban house in a good neighborhood and use the rest of the money to invest in things that create value.

Although quite gorgeous and amazing, this conspicuous consumption leading to all past empires have failed in the long run. Although 1/10 of 1% might be able to afford these homes, I am not sure this is truly where society needs to be or how this is relevant.

Its only worth as much as someone will pay for it. You've got to be crazy to pay so much for a house (especially one on a massive fault line)

You could house and feed all the homeless in the US if your had a heart, instead of greed.

Ava Kate I mean your right but it’s annoying when people always complain about stuff like that I mean a person with a bunch of money can do whatever they want with it. Besides, it’s not like most rich people even try to donate to the poor except Bill Gates, Chuck Feeney and Warren Buffett.

The guy at 7:55 says that there's nothing like this in the country. He must not know about The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. It sits on several thousand acres, has hundreds of rooms, a massive garden, tunnels throughout the home and so much more to offer than that house. I'm pretty sure two of these houses can fit in the Biltmore lol (jk). But the home is massive. No one lives there, though. But it's the largest home in the USA. However, I get what he was saying.
